I'm back from taking DD to the airport. She's off for a week at Aulani!!
So many road closures. It was an ordeal finding how to get there

Today is our 56 Wedding anniversary …We will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant later today!

Happy Anniversary, Bobbi and Tom
Ours is the 15th. We are going north to the Flagstaff area for a week in an Airbnb.
Going to the crater, the observatory and an old house DH loves to walk through.
The rest of the time will be relaxing. Bring games (the ones we have never even tried) read, watch movies and TV series, take walks
It has been so hectic here.
DS and his family will be going to DLR that same week.

DD arrived at Aulani. Not too happy with the view. She booked garden and got parking lot. There are probably some trees around, so guess that counts.

We leave tomorrow for our anniversary trip.....so last minute packing, a run to the grocery store and gas station.
DD comes back today and picks up her kitty. DS is picking her up.....her flight is too late for me. She lands at 11 pm. So wouldn't get home until around midnight.

Oh, btw....medical update:
My DH went for his 2nd 6-week follow-up visit after his surgery. Everything went really well - in fact, they're shocked at how surprisingly well he is recovering! Also, I had my blood tests yesterday and my platelet count is at 191,000! My hemotologist [sp?] is weaning me off the Promacta more slowly this time....3 years this September 1 that my whole ITP nightmare began...

...quiet here too....I haven't been feeling well - sore throat and a stupid cough that just won't let up! My DH had to get up and sleep in the other bedroom because I was practically choking all night....
