I'm thankful for...MICKEY!!! My Thanksgiving '08 TR!: TR Update, Last Day!

Julie, glad you had a nice day! :cool1: I'm glad you got your payment in! It seems like we got our ME stuff about 3 weeks before our trip last year. I loved the ME - just not he bus schedule, so we're renting a car next time.

I love your TR journal - very cute! :cutie: Your camera phone did a good job - wish I could figure out how to download pics from my phone.

It has been nice to have a car at our disposal for the last few trips. We used the bus most of the time, but there were some times when the car was so handy. Like when we wanted to go to the grocery store. And when we were staying till park closing and didn't want to wait for the bus!

On my phone, I can send the pics to my email instead of to a phone number. It's so nice! Easier than uploading them from my camera.

Your trip journal turned out very cute! Minnie and I also have a lot in common -- :rotfl: !

From what I have read, your ME tags should be coming in the next couple of weeks -- we have never flown to WDW, so I am going by when others have posted their tags on their PTRs.

What book were you reading? I am always looking for something new to read.

Thank you!:goodvibes

I can't wait for those ME tags!

I was reading Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris. They're the books that the HBO show "True Blood" is based on. I was sad about being finished with all the Twilight books, so I began another vampire series!

Have you read "The Year of Living Biblically." That was a very interesting book about a guy who tried to live a year living all of the rules of the Bible. First the old testament, then the New Testament. I really liked it.

Loving that trip journal! I should pick one up for my trip too. Your ME tags should come any day now...so be on the look out!

Glad you had a good day. I saw that you read the Twilight books. I got my hair done last weekend and my hair dresser was raving over them. I went out and got the first one to read on the plane ride next month. What did you think of them? It's taking me all I can do not to start it since she was raving about them so much. :goodvibes

Cuuuute trip journal! My Sunday is turning out to be a lot like your Saturday but I hope you're having a nice Sunday too :goodvibes

You are the second person that has been reading that -- I may have to try it -- I finished all the Twilight books and definitely need something to fill the void.

I will check out The Year of Living Biblically, too! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I LOVED the Twilight books. I don't normally like fantasy-type books, but those were ADDICTIVE. And be forewarned: once you start, you can't stop reading!

Sounds like a great Sunday to me. I think we're in for a day much like yesterday. Our weather is still getting up into the high 90s, so it's not ideal outdoor weather. So I think we're inside most of the day today. We did walk this dogs this morning, but I was already starting to sweat at 9 a.m. I am ready for fall!!!!

I liked Dead Until Dark. I finished it yesterday. I will definitely read the other books in the series. But I think I'll get them from the library instead of buying 8 books!

One thing I like about Dead Until Dark is that it's set in the south. I think I was meant to be a southerner, but things just went wrong! :confused3

I think I will head to the library tomorrow after work. I love the idea that it is set in the South.

You can be an honorary Southerner :). But you have to drink iced tea to qualify! :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I keep telling DH that I know I was meant to be born in Florida - it's warm there - I don't belong in the cold! :goodvibes

And here I am moving back to the cold! :confused3

I love iced tea! Even more proof that I was meant to be a Southerner! I like the idea of being an honorary Southerner.

Love the journal! :goodvibes

Thanks!

Wow, it was only in the 50's by me here today, but I love fall so the brisk temperatures are welcomed by me :) This was me for most of the day :surfweb: with a cup of tea lol

Just what are you thinking? ;) ;)

If only my family and friends would come to me...

A girl can dream, can't she?

I would love mid 50s right now!

Fall is my favorite season. The leaves changing, hot cider, halloween, thanksgiving, pumpkin farms...:cloud9:

Last week, I went to the Disney Store to get some Disney Dollars for my SIL for her birthday (which is next week). She and my bro are going on the Disney trip with us.

Well, that got me thinking about our change bucket...

I have decided that the change in the change bucket will be converted to Disney Dollars the week before the trip. So far, there is a total of about 80 dollars in that bucket. I think I'm going to add some dollars to the bucket now as we get closer to the trip. The more Disney Dollars, the better!!!

Seriously. I HATE winter. I mean, I HATE it. I LOATHE it. But the huge majority of my family is pretty much right around here, or somewhere in New England. Quite frankly, I can't imagine functioning without that support system. I'm sure we could do it, but it would be hard.

That's a great idea! Don't want that change to get lonely, right? Throw some dollars in! ;)

Living so far from our families has been pretty hard and I'm ready to be done with it.

HOWEVER, winter will be a hard pill to swallow. Especially since we're moving back right in the thick of it. No easy transition there. DH is much like you, hating winter and all. It's going to be an even harder transition for him. But it will be worth it to be close to family. (I'm just going to keep telling myself that!)

Yes, gotta keep that change company! I might just go add a 5 right now! If it's Disney Dollars, I won't feel like I'm spending real money!

Me too. I would move in a heartbeat if my kids would move some place warm. I have given my DH alot of grief for alot of years because he moved us back here. We were away from home for 10 years with the AF, so we're pretty independent - although I suppose when we're ready to leave, our parents will need us. Oh well, we can always get away to WDW! :hippie:

Yeah for Disney Dollars!! :yay: I was thinking about buying some gift cards for our trip so we don't put souvies on the cc this time.
