I'm Surprised He Didn't SHOOT Me!!

I took the boys to Great Adventure today. Brendan's the ride daredevil - Devin is most definitely not.

It took both of us some convincing, but we got Devin on one of the "bigger" coasters. The Viper has a few corkscrew turns (inverted rolls?), and really isn't all that bad. My final, convincing words to him before the ride were "...and it'll be over before you know it!"

Lines were very short today, even though the weather was very warm (I got more sunburn today than I did from the last few times I've been to Florida!). I watched the coaster do a run with passengers about 3 times, and then it was their turn. I was clapping and yelling because Devin was on...they were going up the first hill and...it stopped! They were STUCK on the ride for about 15 minutes. I was flipping out, going "Oh, my God - he'll NEVER ride another ride - he's going to KILL me!"

Of course he was fine when the ride was over, and actually thought about doing it again..."but not right now" - LOL.

I just KNOW that these memories are going to flash through his mind when it's time to put me into the old age home!

Brings to mind my letting Martin go on Space Mountain alone this past August...while I waited at the end with Ryan....and the ride shut-down - he was NOT happy

Oh no!!! I think that I would have wanted to shoot you too if it were me but then again you probably would NOT have convinced me to go on the ride!!
