HEY GUYS! Sorry I haven't gotten to my replies. I have been so busy, especially at my stupid job. UGH, retail. I hope you all have a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving. I love any excuse to publicly binge eat so I will be doing that in spades! And if you shop on Black Friday, please be easy on the poor unfortunate souls who work at the stores. I am one of them... hopefully you won't find me rocking back in forth in a corner while repeating "There's no place like home... there's no place like home..." and attempting to teleport to Disney.
I found this on Tumblr and thought it was sooo cute! I love the random selection of characters Mickey & Minnie invited over. Brer Bear and Roger Rabbit are there! haha!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!
I definitely know the feeling of the MK on the first day, I used to always do it, it just doesn't feel real until you see that castle! I did Epcot first this last trip, and had to park hop over to MK to get that real feeling, baha!
TSM with a 75 min wait doesn't sound that bad, but I get about having someone else not wanting to wait in line that long first thing at Disney, haha
Starring ROOOLLLS. Ugh, those cupcakes, I never change from the red velvet one either, I tried the butterfinger one once and it just didn't live up to it! haha
That's so true about it not being real until you see the castle. For me, when I'm walking down Main Street and it comes into view, it's such a special "I'M REALLY HERE!!!" moment!
It's not that bad! It would be bad for like anything else but that ride is so unbelievably fun and entertaining that it's really not. Plus, you know if it says 75, it's probably like 60.
I tried the butterfinger one on this trip, it was delicious, but I am in agreement that red velvet is the one to beat!
I love your obnoxious character explosion shirt!!!

Anything with the monorail on it is pretty much perfect!
DHS is a fun park to start with, we always start with Epcot, but I wouldn't object to going to DHS first! It's probably hard going against Disney tradition though!
I love your Tower of Terror shirt!

I really, really need like, every single ToT item of clothing they sell at DHS, I'm obsessed with that ride.
To me, a 75 minute wait for TSM doesn't seem that bad either, but I don't think my DH would be thrilled about it! He'd wait with me, but I'd feel bad!
Haha, I was thinking the same thing about New Fantasyland during my trip, wondering if I'd get to see it, knowing it was AP previews all week, and assuming my only shot would be during
MVMCP! I'm so happy I got to see it TWICE! I was in tears walking in there the first time, seriously!
I'm sorry your Starring Roles experience wasn't that great! I don't know why that place isn't open past 4, it makes scheduling in cupcake time kind of difficult! When we were leaving magic hours and walking by there, I was telling my DH how it should be open late, because do they realize how many people would be in there, getting cupcakes at 11:00 at night on the way out? They are missing out on soooo much extra $$$!
I totally agree with you about the dance parties!!!! I was talking to my DH about this while we were in Disney and then I read your same thoughts on your TR! I was telling him how I wish Disney didn't do these extra things, especially the obnoxious pool parties at the resorts, because just being AT DISNEY is enough! Kids don't need to be constantly entertained in Disney World, just being there should be more than enough stimulation! Ugh, I don't know why, it just annoys me!
Thank you! I agree! There's a new monorail wallet they put out not too long after I left and I want it SO BAD.
Yeah, eventually I'd like to try doing Epcot and AK first, but MK will always be the tradition!
Thank you!! I always want the shirts in there too but so many of them are like $35 each, plus I love retro looking stuff so I decided to just get the old one and work on it myself!
Whoever I marry is going to have to prepare themselves for epic waits in line for Toy Story Mania, on top of getting up at the crack of dawn for rope drop.

Just a requirement. When he proposes I will confirm this with him just in case.
Yeah, they'd make a fortune during EMH. I really don't get it. It's not like Disney usually misses obvious money making opportunities! LOL.
Haha, that's so awesome you said the same thing. It's just hilarious to me. Of all the things to do in Hollywood, you gotta set up a dance party? And they were EVERYWHERE.
You definately had me at "Stuck in Disney!" Now back to catch up!!!!
Yay!! Thanks for reading
Ohmygosh, I love your ToT shirt! One of my cousins had a shirt like that back when it first opened and I was super jealous. So fabulously 90s! Side note: Have you ever seen the video of Regis Philbin doing a promo piece for ToT during the 1993 taping of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade? It's also fabulously 90s, and as a 6 year old, I thought it was terrifying.
VotLM is one of those attractions that I love because of it's nostalgia factor, but I wish that they would digitally remaster the film portion of it. (Unless they've done this recently... I haven't seen the show in a couple of years.)
Starring Rolls definitely needs to be open later! That's so sad about your melty, no-good cupcake. I love Disney cupcakes, but they're so big and rich that I can never finish them in one sitting, so my cupcakes usually meet the same fate as yours.
Thank you so much! Fabulously 90's is the look I was going for.
Omg... I haven't seen that but it sounds WONDERFUL. I will have to try and dig that up!
Digitally remastering the film part wouldn't hurt at all! I kinda like the vintagey look though, it's like I'm watching my old VHS tape of it or something.
I know, I'm pretty sad about it right now. LOL. Seriously though they need better boxes too, I hate those black ones that don't even fit anything. Disney needs the cupcake boxes that hold cupcakes up right and in place. That would at least help a little.
Great start. The 'Ohana remix of Waiting for Tonight sounds fab and your character explosion shirt is so perfectly Disney. Also, I'm glad Hula Timon was there to comfort you through the dark, Stacey-less times.
I feel the same way. This is why we need Disney paparazzi. They need to stop taking pictures of celebrities and come take pictures of me to use in my TRs. I mean who wants their work featured in US Weekly when it could be used on the DISboards?
THANK YOU WHERE IS MY RECORD DEAL. Look for Waiting For Tonight ('Ohana Remix) Ft. Hula Timon on iTunes next year!!!
LOL you are right my friend. Plus, I always really like when the Photopass people take candids of you talking with the characters or hugging them. They always either come out super cute or they catch me mid-gushing over a character and my ogre face is captured. Either way, they are quality photos.
Stacey time is ALWAYS quality time
BUS VOICE GUYYYY
Gahhh I really hope they don't phase him out.
He makes all bus announcements that much more magical!!
I love your shirt!!! DIY-ing is the best!!
Well...when I have the patience for it...and I don't destroy the shirt in the process. YAY!!
Haha exactly! I kind of like that they do that though. Sometimes I wish they did a 15 minute summary of all my favourite movies. I would still watch the full length movies BUT sometimes it's nice to get straight to the point, through the conflict, fall in love and then the happy ending all in the time it takes to make a sandwich!!
I'm so sorry to hear about your cupcake loss.
Good thing you were at DISNEY and there is delicious food everywhere to ease the pain...
Ahhh Sci Fi!! It's always a favourite
Can't wait to hear about it!
Very true!!
ME TOO!! I feel like it's inevitable but I just hope it doesn't happen for a LONG time. I need to emotionally prepare.
Thank you!! haha, it took some practice for me to not destroy shirts. I definitely have a few jacked up ones in my dresser. The ToT one came out good though!
I agree! And the sooner we can get to Eric laying there looking all hot on Ariel's rock, the better!
Yes, there were many other cupcake opportunities. Never fear!!
Yay thanks!! Sci Fi is the best!
I almost ALWAYS go to MK first as well, but sometimes it's good to mix it up too!

Ugh! Sorry about the cupcake tragedy!

Losing precious Disney food is never a good thing... but it'll make that next cupcake all the better, right?!
Cannot wait to hear about the new Fantasyland... I think we'll all be living in a semi-permanent state of suspense until you reveal it!
Yup, I'm glad I did something different for a change! Don't worry... I totally made up for that cupcake later in the trip. And then some!
Ahh, I didn't get to go until Day 6, so I'm afraid you will be in suspense for awhile! But if you have any questions or anything, I'd be happy to answer!
Oh my goodness, you sound just like my DD!! I give you credit for waiting at the airport for Lee-Anne, I would have been awfully tempted to head to the resort too! Hahahaha!
We stayed at POP for the first time for one night during our last trip in June and LOVED it! So much fun!! The grounds and theming are delightful. Too funny about Lee-Anne not quite getting the Stacey obsession, give her time, she may come over to the dark side! DH does the exact same thing, "Can we watch something else for a change?" I'm like, "um, no I HAVE to see the "must-dos" again." Like I haven't seen them a gazillion times. Hahahahah!
And oh my goodness, we've done the same thing with the cupcakes - but last time I got smart and packed tupperware! It worked great packing all of our treats in the tupperware with waxed paper to help protect them from smooshing. They weren't as beautiful as when we first bought them, but the joy of eating Disney food at home for several days after the trip makes that post-Disney depression (PDD) a little easier to take! My husband thinks I'm crazy, but he certainly enjoyed himself some Disney treats at home!
I love that you went to DHS first! It's so hard to choose which park to go to first and we all have our traditions, but doesn't hurt to shake them up a bit. I hear you about that first day when you arrive and you have the whole Disney vacation ahead of you - you can hardly keep from leaping around in joy!!! Believe me, DD and I totally understand! Anyway, loved your update and looking forward to hearing more!!!
I would have liked to have the extra couple of hours in Disney, but it was worth it to wait for her so we could go together!
hahaha, my future husband is going to have to be a Stacey lover. That's just the way it's gotta be. He could be the perfect man, but no Stacey, no marriage.
You are a genius with the tupperware and WAX PAPER. I actually thought of bringing tupperware but I didn't wanna carry it around. Maybe next time I will though!
Yeah, I'm glad we went to DHS first, everything totally worked out according to plan and it ended up being amazing. I didn't even miss the MK much cause I knew I'd be there in the morning anyway. Ahh that feeling of your first day is so intoxicating. I WANNA GO RIGHT NOOOW!!!
