"I'M STUCK IN DISNEY!!!!!!!!" A Delightfully Unliveable TR ~ NEW TR 9/27!!!!!!!!!!!

Sleeping in Disney? But Stitch tells us, under no circumstances, should there ever be sleeping in Disney! I mean, I guess I understand wanting to have an actual vacation with relaxation time and leisure. But, but, but. It's Disney! I just don't get it...

Ok, Lee-Anne not wanting to ride the thrill rides? That so used to be me. I have slowly started gathering courage and I have gotten on quite a few. Some, I loved, like ToT, but some I do NOT and Dinosaur is one of them. Lee-Anne in your ride picture is pretty much what I looked like in my last trek to the cretaceous (or whatever it's called) period. Add in my 8 year old goddaughter to whom I am gripped to in fear? That would be me. Yes, I am in my 30's thankyouverymuch buni just hate scary things. So rock on Lee-Anne! Stick to your no thrill ride policy!

Can't wait to hear what she thought about the jungle trek!!

I don't get it either - what Stitch says, goes. :stitch2:

That gives me hope that she will someday gather the courage to try them herself! She is SO against it, I mean she is always just like NOPE. I just can't imagine why anyone would be afraid of rides unless they actually have a condition or something, I don't mean that in a rude way, I mean I truly don't understand what there is to fear. The only time I've been scared is if it's at a sketchy carnival or something - I've said no to rides before cause they looked rusty or something. But at Disney, you just know it's safe and millions of people ride them and have the best time... I'm perplexed! But hey, everyone is different!

I so know what you mean about occasionally having a day or two where you don't feel like you need to rush in the mornings (we had one like that toward the end of our trip), but at the beginning of the week I am always on TURBO mode, simply because I want to make sure we'll be able to fit in everything we want to do. Also because it's Disney and it makes me hyper and crazy.

Those Princess sweat pants are adorable!! Why are all the cutest Disney clothes only available in kids sizes or men's/unisex sizes?

This?

Hahaha. So me. I'm so excited for when we take my nephew's to Disney for the first time (and my sister's first trip since 1990), but I see us having this EXACT conversation.

That's the exact way I am. I go crazy during the first half of the trip and slow it down as time goes on. I could never ever sleep in during the first few days. In any other circumstance I can be the laziest person but at Disney my mind and body just physically won't do it.

I REALLY DON'T KNOW. I always like the kids stuff better, especially the t-shirts! I think cause they try and make the adult stuff more fashionable whereas the kids stuff is just like *CHARACTERS AND GLITTER*

haha you probably will have that conversation. Just remember they haven't seen Disney and they're gonna wanna stop and stare at stuff you just go past cause you've seen it a ton of times and be patient. I had to constantly remind myself that all of it was new to Lee-Anne or else I would have been like COME ON LET'S GO every 3 seconds.

I kind of struggle with the whole sleeping in thing vs. not... Then again, sleeping in for us in Disney is sleeping til like.. 8-8:30, so really it's not that late. Even at home during the weekends, I very rarely sleep past 9am.

But really, we're up most mornings in Disney very early!

Why is it that when Disney has an awesome t-shirt or even sweatpants, it's for kids only?! Maybe I need to take another look at what I'm wearing...

Haha you are a very good friend! It is definitely hard going to Disney with people who aren't necessarily as um, hardcore as you are... or don't really understand how getting up and going means you get more done. We do the long trips though so we can have the go-go-go mentality for the first part of the trip, and then slow things down a bit after that.

Hahaha, I can't say I've really truly perused any of the stores at AK! I'm with you, I'd rather see the real tigers!

That IS an adorable photo of you and Hula Timon! BFFs.

Ummm, let's just say your reaction to Dinosaur in the photo is the complete opposite of mine. Just you wait, hahahahaa.

I can sleep VERY late under normal circumstances, but not in Disney! I agree, getting up late in Disney is like, 8:30. Lee-Anne kept saying she wanted to get up at 10 and I was like :scared: but now that we've worked out that she doesn't care if I leave early and do whatever, it's cool. She's awesome that way!

Yeah that's a good way of putting it. I NEED MORE HARDCORE DISNEY FANS TO HANG OUT WITH IN THE PARKS! That's why I can't wait to be in Disney with Jess again, bc she is up for anything! I love having that slowed down, more relaxed time... but not until later in the trip like you said.

The stores really are amazing, they have unbelievable works of art in there for sale and otherwise - I mean the stuff they have just holding up t-shirts is beautiful, but if you have a limited time in the parks, of course you're not going to stop and look around there until you've seen it all. But that wasn't her approach, and like I said, that's fine. Everyone likes touring in different ways... it just can be hard to get used to!

I love HT, that handsome devil :lovestruc

I can't wait to see that photo!

Oh my gosh, you really are a great friend! :lmao: I could just feel the anxiety as you were describing sitting around waiting for her to wake up, waiting for her to get ready, etc. ICK I DON'T EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT!! I'm so glad I married a man who loves Disney as much as I do and is always up for an early wake up call!

Your ride picture is amazing!:rotfl: I scream like a girl on that ride, it scares me to death!!!!

m just like you. I will stay out late, and wake up at six. I have done that plenty of times. I mean, by the 6th day of a trip, I will start getting crabby because of lack of sleep. So I will sleep in one day. And by that I mean I will sleep for 30 minutes longer. When you have only several days in Disney, it is just not possible to sleep in late.

THOSE SWEATPANTS ARE SO CUTE. Why do they have to make all of the awesome stuff in kid sizes? I mean, there are these Mike Wazowski shoes at the Disney Store that are SOOOOO CUTE. I really want a pair but they only make them for little kids :(

I just went on a trip with some… not so great people but that’s another story, but ANYWAYS… these not so great people would get to the parks at noon EVERY SINGLE DAY. And they only had three and a half days at the parks and hadn’t been in 25 years. Yes, that is ok for ONE day, but not for a whole trip.

Those formulas are for mustard, mayo, and ketchup! McDonalds used to sponsor the ride (weird I know) so they left like a little tribute there for their sponsorship. Like I said, weird, I know.

Ahhh how did I miss so much!! Stupid busy life being all busy and stupid!

That photo of you with a glowstick in your ear is pretty much my favourite thing ever in the world!!! WHAT??? :rotfl:

I LOVE the Gia reference!! That was always one of my favourite FH epps.
Some people need to be Gia'd so bad! Come on people!

Have you ever seen the Engrish books? They used to have them in barnes and noble and Borders. SO GREAT!! My friend went to Japan and got this great shirt that just says " I want YOU to get out of my cupboard!" With a duck on it.
YES!!!

Ahhh Zenon!!! SO great!!
You seriously reference all the things in life that are great!

You look SOOOO HAPPY!!! :goodvibes

May is still pretty close! I mean this year is just flying! Plus you get even more time to get all hyped up and build up the anticipation :goodvibes

Awhh look at the boys go! That is a great shot of Taylor!

OKAY! :rotfl2: That guy sounds hilarious!!!

Ew I hope you went and washed that Beach Clubiness off when you got home!

Good old Barrack, keeping you in the loop.

HAHA oh YES I know how you feel with the Disney restlessness! My sister is totally a sleep until 10 and then head to the parks 'whenever' person and it KILLS me! HOW CAN PEOPLE SLEEP IN WHEN THERE IS SUCH MAGICAL TIMES TO BE HAD???
You are a great friend. It is very hard to just smile and tell someone to take their time with breakfast when every fibre in your body is pulling you towards the parks.

Your second towel animal looks evil, just sayin

It's hard work not being the Danny Tanner of the group...

That is such a pretty picture of you and HT on the bench! I like how your shirt matches him!

AHHH Your Dinosaur picture is great! You ain't afraid of no...dino Rebel!

LOL thank you! I just hate being a nag! I would hate for her to look back on the trip and think of me dragging her around at a pace she didn't like. You are SO LUCKY that you found a man like that!!

It's the scariest ride in Disney to me!

Aren't you a good friend to not push Lee-Anne to rush rush rush!

Now get going already!!!

We actually ended up getting a lot done in the end! It was really lucky, there were low crowds and we were able to see most of the main things I wanted Lee-Anne to experience. The only must do we missed was Finding Nemo, but we'll do that first in May!

Yeah for those of us who love Disney like crazy it really is impossible to sleep in. Trust me. I TRIED! I really couldn't do it.

AHH YES THE SHOES. I literally love all the super super kiddie like glittery pink princess sneakers that light up. I would wear all that stuff if it fit me, no joke.

I can't believe they wanted to get there at noon every day! I mean even if you look at it from a perspective of value, it's such a waste of money to sleep that late.

Yeah, I remember when there were McDonalds in the parks, but I didn't know about those formulas! That's funny!

Ahh it's all good!! You must be so busy with The Wedding Singer!!

That is one of my favorite pictures of myself too  I feel it captures my essence.

I never heard of Engrish before Lee-Anne told me that but I will definitely check that out, it's too funny!

I'm glad you appreciate all my fabulous references!!!

Yeah, the more time that goes by will just build up our excitement even more. There are a ton of good reasons why we had to postpone it but I'm still sad now I have no birthday plans! I have to figure out something AWESOME to do!

Don't worry, I had a nice long shower to wash the grimy Beach Club off!! YUUCKK!!

That's a good way to put it cause I really do feel like I'm being physically PULLED toward the parks like I just can NOT sleep in and take my time getting ready I MUST GO.

It was a very ominous towel animal!!!!

Aww thank you! I love those pictures too, everything from this day was captured really well!

It takes a lot of patience to adjust your touring plans for others. I'm usually an up early but not too early go go go kinda girl. This is something I know i'll have to change on my next trip since i'll be traveling with a 6 year old princess who needs her sleep! I think that AK was a perfect park to choose on your "sleeping in" day. I loved the dinosaur photo!

Yeah, especially after doing it a certain way for so many years! I'm an only child, so I've literally been the person deciding what to do every day since I was very young. My dad would literally just say to me "Where are we going today?" LOL. But like I said, it's fine. I don't mind compromise.

Hopefully the girl you're going with won't want to sleep THAT late and you can still fit everything in!

I think it's great that you guys worked out a system so you were both happy with your touring.

Me too! Lee-Anne is so easygoing so it's not hard to compromise with her! A lot of friends would be like "waaah don't go to the parks without me" so I'm really glad she isn't like that. :)

Day 3, Part 2 In Which Adventure Is Out There

We spent a lot of time in the Dinosaur shop because Lee-Anne has a deep feeling of love and affection for Disney stores and she also wanted to buy something for her brother in law.

I love the place because it reminds me of Ross Gellar's apartment.

They had a really cool Vinylmation display that made them look like fossils! Ross would have died!

8423400277_4332cff2c0_z.jpg

And SOMEHOW I don't think I ever noticed this before... BUT THERE IS A GIANT SEA TURTLE SKELETON HANGING FROM THE WALL?

8423400625_3a0a83daa5_z.jpg

IT IS AMAZING.

8424491788_4c038e1ac6_z.jpg

I was just like... in total awe of that thing. Get a close look when you go. Anywhere else this thing would be an entire exhibit at a museum, here it hangs above stuffed dinosaurs and light sabors.

Yeah. Light sabors. I don't know what it has to do with the Dinosaur theme but hey, I guess you really don't need a reason to sell light sabors! Lee-Anne bought one so there you go!

We had the stuff she bought shipped back to Pop Century and were on our way.

So I decided to get on the ground and take a photo with this guy:

8424624982_67e80d0ac0_z.jpg

LOL I don't even know. What I do know is that if I ever set up an online dating profile, that puppy is gonna be my default pic.

8424491424_d6fe2eabe7_z.jpg

We then spent more quality time with Disney merchandise. (Sigh) I just kinda gave up at this point. I mean, she knew there was a whole park out there to see and she was still obviously very into the shopping thing so... I just accepted it. LOL.

It's cool. Not cooler than Finding Nemo: The Musical, but like I said, I didn't wanna be dragging her out of a place she wanted to explore... even if it was a just store.

So I just took the opportunity to enjoy the moment and look around because just like anywhere in AK, the attention to detail in the decoration is amazing!

8423399907_45359fdfc6_z.jpg

While Lee-Anne was shopping I continued my endless search for a Pascal pin which has been going on since December of 2011.

I talked to the CMs working the register and they were super nice! I love when you ask one CM to see their pins, and 2 other CMs appear and show you theirs. So many of them have the same pins now though, it's honestly disappointing. It's harder to find good ones these days!

I also just found out that Vinylmation trading is getting phased out of the parks, and there are hardly any trading locations left. I am so bummed. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. If guests have less opportunities to trade for Vinyls they love, why would they buy new ones in blind boxes and risk not liking what they get and being stuck with a crappy Vinyl b/c there is HARDLY ANY TRADING GOING ON? BLAH. Disney, stop.

I loved Vinylmation trading on the very trip you are reading about - I bought 2 for $9.99 at the Disney Store prior to leaving and after many trades I ended up finding 2 I absolutely loved! It was so much better than pin trading because I never got the same Vinyl twice and I found so many creative pieces. With the pins, SO many CMs had the same ones.

After the trip, I bought a bunch of Vinyls for $2.99 each when DisneyStore.com was having a Cyber Monday sale with the sole purpose of trading them, so I'm really disappointed. You're only allowed 1 trade per day at each store, so hopefully I'll be able to find ones I love even with the limited opportunities!

OK. Vinyl rant over. I just hope by the time I get there in May, trading isn't gone altogether! :'(

So the CMs told me that they never see Pascal pins on anyone's lanyard and I probably would not find one. WHY.

Whatever. My quest will not end. I WILL FIND A PASCAL PIN. And I don't mean for sale in a store. I do not buy pins. What fun is that? Really. It's all about the hunt for me and I NEED A PASCAL PIN! Le sigh.

Check out this Mickey marionette! I want to buy this. It's not for sale but I want one like it. I have no idea how to work a marionette, but I'm sure that girl from the Bye Bye Bye video could teach me.

8424491080_85aa7c21d5_z.jpg

I LOVE BULLSEYE.

8463972956_15b644f81b_z.jpg

Lee-Anne loves Scar! I'm telling you, she would not stop talking about Scar and Jafar the whole trip. It was cracking me up. Like out of all the characters.

8462873983_4aaec6f9a9_z.jpg

Here's a picture of me returning one of Taylor Hanson's many, many phone calls to me.

8463974858_fb2e27d2f4_z.jpg

Eventually we left the store and LOOK WHO WE RAN INTO!

8423399449_42e330d28c_z.jpg

RUSSELL AND DUG FROM UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8424490574_028ba27d1b_z.jpg

SOSOSOSOSOSOOOOOCUTE.

The line was semi-long but I didn't really care. I wanted to make a distinct effort to meet more characters on this trip since I had hardly done that at all in the last few trips. It never seemed worth the wait to me, but I was suddenly extremely into it!

They kept saying that it was almost time for them to go take a break, so I was really nervous the whole time that we would have to wait for them to leave and come back. Luckily, we were the last people that got to meet them and we really only waited like 15 minutes.

I guess they wanted to make this last M&G count because they spent a LOT of time with us! For two guys who don't talk much, they sure said a lot!

8462907563_91ff7f11c7_z.jpg

Dug had a bit of a crush on Lee-Anne I think.
8462907379_7d477e99b0_z.jpg

8464008862_9fdcf55f64_z.jpg

This doggie gives some amazing hugs, let me tell you!

8464008502_a6ceebbeb9_z.jpg

8462908313_fbb833378a_z.jpg

Yeah, they love us.

8464008688_31f6b2b440_z.jpg

I actually have only seen Up once because it ruined me emotionally. I mean it's a great movie but I can only go through so much. But I have to watch it again soon!

Next, we headed in the direction of Camp Minnie Mickey!

8424490356_cd095af60f_z.jpg

Ahhh... I love this place.

8462879003_5608d9809b.jpg

I had a little bit of irritation on my foot so I wanted to hit up first aid before it turned into a full blown cut/blister!

8423398775_e211a453d6_z.jpg

The ladies in there were so sweet! I swear, they always have the nicest people working in First Aid. They LOVED Hula Timon and were fussing over him as if I had brought an adorable little infant in there or something! It was precious. He LOVED the attention!

8424488480_b779471d55_z.jpg

He just sat there gloating as I applied the bandaids. Yeah, HT, you're all that! Now shut it!!!!

Up Next: ANOTHER UPDATE IN THE NEXT POST! :dance3:

Day 3, Part 3 In Which Timon Sees the Cousins

Off we headed to Festival of the Lion King!

(Don't miss the other update I just did at the bottom of the last page! :D)

8423398595_964c9f6638_z.jpg

8423398365_9dd752f9b7_z.jpg

Once we got to camp, I spotted this beautiful butterfly!

8423398159_738fc01da1_z.jpg

8424489286_9efa33492a_z.jpg

I love when you see a creature like this just randomly while at Animal Kingdom. Great and small, they're all here.

I also love the trash cans.

8424489056_5a03d77990_z.jpg

This guy was playing near the FOTLK entrance.

8424488700_dbf8e89265_z.jpg

He was good! I would have given him some money if he had a guitar case open in front of him!

And then it was time for one of the BEST things at Walt Disney World, FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to post any pictures because it is just impossible for me to get an even half decent shot of this show so I just sit back and enjoy the amazingness.

Timon, however, did make me take one pic:

8423397599_0cbc459081_z.jpg

HIM AND HIS FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course he cried. I cried. Lee-Anne cried. WE ALL CRIED.

I really don't have much else to say. It' an unbelievable show. As I've said before, I actually love it more than The Lion King on Broadway.

It's just that good!

@babybritney: I have news. I'm moving to Disney to become a dancing zebra.

*sigh* I wish! If I could do any job at Disney, that would probably be it.

After the show, Lee-Anne said she was hungry, so I told her about the CS options at AK. I wasn't hungry b/c it really hadn't been too long since I'd eaten that big breakfast. Plus, I was saving my hunger for The Food and Wine Festival!!!

I advised against Disney CS "pizza"... I mean with the great CS places in AK it would not be my 1st, 2nd, or 85th choice.

I put it in quotes because though it IS dough with sauce and cheese on top, it's not really PIZZA. I mean. Come on.

I WOULD eat it if the choice was to eat that or like... a zebra. I love zebras so I would feel bad about eating one and ONLY THEN would I go for the Disney "pizza".

I'd probably still get kicked out of New Jersey though and told never to return to New York. For eating such "pizza" even in a dire situation.

Lee-Anne is from Philly so she does not understand how serious we are about pizza around here. Plus Pizzafari was close by, so she said she would just have that.

8424487260_dc4a4a6535_z.jpg

8423396863_6bfd61e867_z.jpg

I'll go here any day of the week. Not to eat, but for the art! It's just one of the coolest looking restaurants ever.

8423397051_01cccd194e_z.jpg

Lee-Anne chose the veggie pizza. I didn't realize this, but she didn't fully understand the dining plan. So when we were ordering and paying she was really confused, and the CM at the register was so patient while I explained every detail of it. The DDP can sound like a mess to people who do not spend hours obsessing over ADRs, but she eventually got the jist.

She then said that she didn't want a drink because she already had some water in her bag. I was like, "But it's free! You already paid for it." And she was like... "But I already have a drink." And I was like BUT IT'S FREE!

To me it's kind of wasting money if you don't take full advantage of your dining plan. But she didn't want anything, so I said "Ok, I'll get something." and I got a bottle of water.

Then we got to the dessert. She didn't want dessert. The exact same thing happened where I was like, "But it's free!" "But I don't want dessert." "It comes with your meal. You paid for it. Get something for later even!" "Nah, I don't want anything."

So I got a cookie. LOL. I quickly learned to stop arguing... because it meant free drinks and desserts for moi!!!!!! The only thing better than Free Dining is Free Dining with bonuses cause your friend doesn't want stuff! What WHAAAAAT!

Here is the area we sat in.

8424487484_70ef033f83_z.jpg

And the food!

8423396693_13b4130d55_z.jpg

She said the pizza was good. I cringed in its presence, but she seemed to enjoy it, and that's all that matters.

8423396491_4077bfa96e_z.jpg

My water and cookie was... you know, water and a cookie. Overall not a very exciting dining experience. LOL.

After she finished eating, Lee-Anne went to the bathroom and I took pictures of masks! Woo!

When she came out, we headed over to Africa, where they don't say goodbye. They say go well!

Up Next: We finally see some ANIMALS!!

Yay for getting to meet Dug and Russell from UP!!! How cute are they???

(Don't think I missed that "Bye, Bye, Bye" reference!! Even though I was a MUCH bigger BSB fan back in the day. Sorry! :rotfl: )

Okay, I totally and completely understand what you mean about Disney pizza vs Jersey pizza! But I kind of regard Disney pizza in the level of frozen pizza, vs. real pizza!

Your zebra comment made me literally LOL. I'm at the library using the computers so as you can imagine they were not to happy with me..:rotfl2: Been a bad few days so the laugh was needed THANKS!!;)

THAT SEA TURTLE SKELETON IS SO COOL. I have never noticed it before!

It is a good thing the stores at Disney have so many awesome details to look at it. When I am at AK, I just want to see animals and musicals and hang out with the Yeti. You my friend, are very patient!

UMMMMM….DYING OVER HERE BECAUSE OF RUSSEL AND DUG. I have never seen them at AK before but I think they will be there more often now because of the wilderness explorers game that is coming… I HOPE.

I LOVE the picture of the pretty butterfly and Mickey.

Disney “pizza”… just ew. There are SO many more great options at AK, and plus you can get “pizza” anywhere else in Disney. Or those nasty “flatbreads.” EVEN WORSE.

Loved your latest updates! So many fun things to do at AK, and I loved your tweet...being one of those zebra dancers would be so much fun!

I advised against Disney CS "pizza"... I mean with the great CS places in AK it would not be my 1st, 2nd, or 85th choice.

I COMPLETELY feel you!! Disney CS restaurants do so many things stupendously. Pizza is not one of them.

Especially at the Animal Kingdom, where there's Yak & Yeti and Flame Tree...ah well, at least Pizzafari is really cute and colorful inside! And air conditioned. Always a plus.

When I worked at the Boardwalk, I would sometimes check families in who were staying on the dining plan but hadn't done ANY research or made any ADR's. I would just stare at them, dumbfounded. We plan so meticulously to get the most value - use the snack credit for the $4.99 cupcake and not the 79 cent banana and all that - it's so strange to see people who just don't worry about it. But I guess that's how Disney makes money off of the dining plan!

So I got a cookie. LOL. I quickly learned to stop arguing... because it meant free drinks and desserts for moi!!!!!! The only thing better than Free Dining is Free Dining with bonuses cause your friend doesn't want stuff! What WHAAAAAT!

:rotfl::rotfl: Love it. :thumbsup2

I'm BA-AAACK (say that like the girl from Poltergeist)! Haha, I'm sure it's not THAT terrifying, but I have returned from the dead once again (*wink, wink*) Really getting deep into this TR now, so excited I came back just in time. And I'm so happy to see Hula Timon actually being such an important piece of this TR! :goodvibes And I can totally relate to Lee-Anne on the constant need to shop in Disney. Though I feel for you and the need "to ride the rides, watch the shows, meet the characters, etc.", but I mean... it's DISNEY merchandise TO THE MAX! You can't go wrong there lbh

Can't wait to read about more! :mickeyjum

P.S. Not sure if I told you this, but I finally saw Annie Hall. Really liked it and Diane Keaton does do a great job even though Woody's performance was actually my favorite, but that may be because I relate to Alvy Singer more. I think I'm going to watch Hannah and Her Sisters next since... MIA FARROW!!!!! Oh and I have a recommendation for you: Zero Dark Thirty. See it. Now. Totally worth it. Kathryn Bigelow = Snubbed at Oscars. Speaking of Oscars, what did you think? I know you aren't a big fan of Anne Hathaway so I'm interested to hear what your opinion is of what went down.

Oh, Dug and Russell!! I know what you mean about being an emotional wreck! I always skip the beginning because the love is so sweet, it makes me asad!

But I kind of regard Disney pizza in the level of frozen pizza, vs. real pizza!

They're precious!

At the time I preferred *NSYNC although I loved BSB too, but I think BSB songs stand the test of time more. Like a lot of *NSYNC's songs are just flat out bad (though I still love them) while I feel like more of BSB's songs are genuinely good songs, especially their first album which I am in love with. They also have better voices, and *NSYNC has Justin, so blech @ him. But *NSYNC will always have a special place in my heart. I saw them live 3 times when I was 11 & 12 and had the time of my life!

I agree, Disney pizza is the equivalent to frozen pizza. Which is still okay, but why have something okay when you could have something marvelous? I don't know why grocery stores in Jersey even SELL frozen pizza when you can get the greatest stuff on earth on every street. :thumbsup2

Your zebra comment made me literally LOL. I'm at the library using the computers so as you can imagine they were not to happy with me..:rotfl2: Been a bad few days so the laugh was needed THANKS!!;)

Aww that's wonderful. I hope your next few days are better, hang in there!

The part with Timon and his cousins was just beautiful! Loved the updates!

haha Thank you!

Me either! I don't know how I didn't notice a GIANT SKELETON, but that's Disney for ya: so much going on that you miss things like this.

I tried to be! It wasn't easy! But AK does have the most interesting stores as far as decoration goes. It's not just about the merchandise.

I haven't heard of that game but it sounds interesting!

Thank you!

Oh GOD I had the worst flatbread ever at AKL on my Dec 2011 trip. Never again.

Loved your latest updates! So many fun things to do at AK, and I loved your tweet...being one of those zebra dancers would be so much fun!

Thank you! I am so jealous of those dancing zebras!

Agreed. So many people are fine with paying $9 for a frozen pizza quality meal so they aren't gonna step it up I'm afraid.

Yes, I love Pizzafari despite the food! It's so awesome in there.

Oh my GOD I just don't understand guests when it comes to those who do no research IN GENERAL... I did the exact same thing, used all my snack credits for the expensive stuff like F&W dishes, you can use your credits for items that are 6, 7++ dollars! I saved so much money that way. I don't know why you wouldn't research it, that's just crazy.

hahaha welcome BAAAACK. I'm glad you're enjoying Hula Timon! He got a little tired as the trip went on so he won't be showing up that much toward the end unfortunately.

ANNIE HALL IS THE BEST. I relate more to Alvy as well. I love Woody as an actor alone so much. He's just perfect in that movie, and so is Diane. Hannah and Her Sisters is nowhere near as good in my opinion, but still a great and classic Allen film.

I haven't seen ZDT yet, it doesn't spark my interest that much, but I will see it eventually.

The Oscars don't matter in my opinion. If you get to go to the Oscars, if you get to walk through that door, you've already won, and that's it really. I go between caring about them and not caring about them, because I do think it's great to celebrate film, but the format is not ideal. There should be a way to honor more films. As for this year's winners..

Argo - still didn't see it but I love Affleck

Screenplay - I love Tarantino so much. I don't think Django is his best screenplay but it's still better than 90% of movies so there you go.

Director - I know everyone was annoyed Affleck didn't get nominated, but I'm glad they changed it up and gave it to Ang Lee. I hate when something sweeps the Oscars, I like when different movies win different prizes and Ang Lee is fantastic.

Actors... DDL - ridiculously talented actor but getting boring at this point. Needs to change it up, like when he did the musical Nine. The film was panned but I LOVED it and it was a departure for him. He was great. Joaquin Phoenix deserved it this year, as did John Hawkes.
Jennifer Lawrence - Her award is less thanks to her performance and more thanks to everyone in Hollywood being desperate to please Harvey Weinstein. She's talented but no way she would have won that without him. There's *something* I like about her - I feel like in a sea of fake actresses she is probably the lesser of the evils. Even though everything she says is rehearsed and getting so tired... she's not that bad. I was not crazy about this category at all but I love Chastain. I was rooting for Emmanuelle Riva though.
Anne Hathaway - *sigh* Way way way way WAY worse than Jennifer when it comes to rehearsing every word that comes out of her mouth. Only time I liked her as an actress was in The Devil Wears Prada. She acts like a little girl doing what she thinks actresses do.
Christoph Waltz - F L A W L E S S actor, genuine, interesting, deserving. I'm surprised they gave it to him again but overjoyed. 100% deserved, although I would also have loved to see De Niro take it because his role in SLP was his first great one in years and plus having worked for the Tribeca Film Festival and met him several times I just *love* the man.

I liveblogged the show on my movie blog too! The best parts for me this year were the musical numbers honestly.

Oh, Dug and Russell!! I know what you mean about being an emotional wreck! I always skip the beginning because the love is so sweet, it makes me asad!

I know, it was such a precious love story! I was so taken aback by it.

Thanks and I promise not to disappear again!

I'm really trying to step away from my Oscar obsession now I've come to enjoy more and more movies. I feel I always find an awesome performance and a not-so awesome performance where the not-so awesome performance got an Oscar nom or win and the awesome performance just got no recognition. And this is the same with directors and movies. It just keeps on showing up. They just are interesting to watch considering careers can be revived, broken or made by a win. And seeing if maybe they actually get it right, that's exciting!

But anyways, I'm so glad you aren't totally hating J-Law. She's one of my favorite new actresses because even though there is a lot of stuff that feels rehearsed I agree, there seems something genuine to it all. Like what happened with Mr. Jack Nicholson, it was literally the most adorable thing I've ever seen. And I think it's great to see she hasn't fallen down the path of Kristen Stewart. I was happy to see her win the Oscar (even though I knew it probably wasn't hers to win) because she truly had a great year and that was her reward and to hoping she keeps it. Hopefully she won't have to depend on Weinstein in the long run. (And yeah, Chastain was fantastic in ZDT, but she was in the same boat as Viola Davis last year since ZDT was very ensemble-based)

You know how I feel about Anne Hathaway so I won't go into that again, but she deserved it wholly. Amazing performance though she was the only nominee I saw, but... it was just that good.

I have only seen DDL once and I wasn't blown away, but that's because I wasn't exactly really into the movie. I heard he was great in Lincoln, but I never saw it. I saw Denzel in Flight and I was hoping maybe he would win because it honestly was a PERFECT performance (the other nominee I saw was Jackman and... yeah, no chance for him) though Joaquin's Oscar is a long-time coming (even if he won't ever win due to his attitude towards award shows).

You rave about Christoph Waltz a lot on your blog I see his pictures being reblogged all the time and I've heard great things so I'm curious to see his performance. Didn't see any of the other nominees so I have no real opinion on this one. I wanted De Niro to win since he needs the boost and would be a testament to the Academy actually appreciating its greats these days, but if Waltz deserved, he deserved it.

I'm sure you know how happy I was to see QT win! He is honestly the coolest guy at the Academy, my favorite speech of the night though I hated how they had to give him the Jaws treatment. People better check themselves before they wreck themselves that's all I got to say.

Picture and Director were fine with me. I've heard great things about Life of Pi so I'm sure Ang Lee deserved it considering how there were no acting noms for that movie. As well as the fact he directed what people said was an unfilmable film. And Picture was honestly a surprise whatever way it went. I honestly didn't know and didn't care since it seemed there were a whole bunch of them that could've won and it wouldn't have mattered except with a few that shouldn't have won. But Argo/Affleck was getting a bad rap from the Academy at the beginning so that's nice Affleck got his due in the Producing part of the film.

Okay... didn't mean to write that much about the Oscars. How is it on a Disney site I talk about just films in one comment? I'll have to fix that!

I will miss Hula Timon dearly. I'm sure he got a well-deserved break for being so actively involved :)

All better!
