:guilty: as charged!

Alright, I read this post and thought to myself, "Self, you haven't gone to Michaels in over a month, you need to see how the new setup looks now that it complete."

The Sizzix clearance was disappointing, (actually all the clearance was) most stuff was either $5 or $9, and I've seen better (I stocked up when Michaels had dies for $3, all sizes). Then I walked the other aisles. Martha, not withstanding...oh my gosh! Guess, I know what I will be doing on Sunday's when the paper comes with the M's and J's coupons! Those accordian books are super cute, and the Princess/Mickey 8 x 8 scrap pads, and new Jolee's and the Sandylion Disney Essentials book. I bought the Pirate theme park Jolee, since they had one left. But they had a bunch of the other ones too.

I went to JoAnn's yesterday and their scrapbook section was pretty sad, everything on clearance. I imagine they have a major reset coming soon. And a boring Disney section. It wasn't that long ago that Michaels didn't have anything, and JoAnn's had the cute things.

I went to Michaels today and they had new $1 stamps. That's the only thing I walked out with, and I almost missed those.

Now J's had a lot on clearance, jolee's princess (the dresses) $1, creating Memories brads $.50, in fact most CM stuff clearanced out, 12 box fiskers embossing designs $3. I walked out with a ton of stuff and they finally had cricut mats so I used my internet coupon on them.

clipboards are at Walmart or Staples. Plastic at Wally world, and brown masonite ones are at Staples.

ETA my Walmart had a bunch, blue pink and clear if you want me to pick one up and mail it.

can i alter the plastic ones???? and are they the small ones or just the larger size? i looked at target, acmoore, michaels and none at those places.

I altered the clear plastic ones from Wal Mart. (Couldn't find smaller sized masonite ones and don't have a Staples nearby)

I made Cricut Disney characters and adhered them with a little bit of Mod Podge to the BACK of the clipboard with the right side of the character seen through the front (make sense?). This way, the front is flat for writing instead of bumpy at the edges of what I added. After that was dry, I kept adding more and more coats of Mod Podge to get it sealed well. The last thing I added was an array of different coordinating ribbons across the clippy thing.

I had several tags I had cut at Archiver's. I hooked them together with one of those hinged rings (don't know what they're really called) and hooked that through the clippy thing full of ribbons.

We'd flip through the stack and find the next blank card for each character. In the evening, I removed the signed cards and added more if necessary so the ring wasn't too full at one time and so that the signed ones took on less wear and tear.

Got lots of compliments on it all. Hope those ideas helped.

I don't think I've been to Mike's since the initial Martha rollout. Hmmm - might have to make a trip there tomorrow!

Okay, I think I'm officially done with Mike's for awhile. I did go tonight - and I spent.... $2.10! The Once Upon a Time paper was on clearance for 25 cents a sheet - that surprised me. I wandered the store for awhile but nothing jumped out at me. Nothing I'd pay full price for anyway.

I tried to buy Cricut mats with an ACM coupon but they said no Cricut stuff at all with a coupon. How stupid is that? ACM lets you use it on mats and blades. Too bad for Mike's - for not letting me save the $4 they lost a lot of my future money that will be now spent at ACM.
