ok, so i'm still on a mission to try to trade for a pair of dreams ears for my mother. she got a sewing job and it takes up ALL her time, so she didn't get to play vmk during dreams month. i'm trying to surprise her by getting her some ears and putting them on her character for her but they seem to be so hard to trade for! i have a trade room open with a lot of pretty good stuff in it, including theater pieces, sea green cactus, and a lot of other rare stuff. just about all the rare i've got. when people come into my room i ask if they have dream ears. the people that do seem to only want my offer to be EVERYTHING IN MY ROOM! most of these people got them for free anyway from the graciousness of the hosts. and people are being way too greedy for just a virtual hat. it's very sad to see that this is pretty much the norm of most of the people that come into my room. vmk isn't all about the "stuff" as far as i'm concerned. it's a place to come together and meet new people and just have fun. but some people are concerned about nothing more than trying to get every piece of "stuff" they can, not caring who they mess over in the process. it saddens my heart to see that this is what a fun disney game has turned people into. i know that in my trades people sometimes think i ask too much for certain items, but that is usually just because i don't know what is really fair for it. i offer based on what i personally think is appropriate. most times if a few or more people tell me the same thing, that i'm asking too high of a price, i'll knock it down a bit, until it's fair to everyone. i don't want these ears just so i can turn around and trade them for a ton of rare. i honestly want to put a smile on my mothers face. but greed has made this a very difficult task. what has the world come to, honestly? i'm a Christian myself, and it pains me to see what is happening in a simple game that is geared towards young children. is this what we want our children to learn? to scam people out of all they can? certainly not, i'm sorry for bending everyone's ear, but i just felt like talking about my frustration. feel free to post here about your own frustrations if you like. i ought to be on for a while and i'd love to talk to anyone who would like to. i'm always up for making new friends
