DH is leaving on Thurs. for 5 days at VWL. His cousin is getting married at the GF on Saturday and I'm too pregnant to go. (less than 4 weeks left) Happy about the baby, VERY sad about missing the wedding at WDW!!!!!:( I just wanted some sympathy from my fellow DVCers and if anyone sees a big guy with a Patriots hat on, speaking with a Boston accent (you know "pahk the cah") make sure you tell him to buy his DW something VERY nice!!!!:D

Congratulations on having a baby. Sorry to hear that you could not go to WDW due to your condition. Make sure your DH comes back with something for you from WDW.

Suggestion for your DH. Have him purchase a video camera or take LOTS of pictures of the wedding so you can see the photos when he gets back. Have him tape the wedding and the parks.

I completely sympathize! DH called from work today to tell me he'd be going to California for a week on a business trip. Okay...no problem...at least until he mentioned that he just might be staying at the Disneyland Hotel! Waaaaaaah!

Congratulations on your upcoming arrival. I'd say that Daddy owes you and the baby a trip just as soon as the little guy/gal is old enough. ;)

I'll be watching for him, we're leaving Fri for VWL!! And since we're from NH, it'll be great to look for a Pat's shirt!!!
Sorry you aren't able to go, but remember, it's going to be HOT!!! I know when I was pregnant, heat was definately not my favorite thing. Best wishes for your new baby!!

It is hard enough to be 9 months pregnant, let alone left behind for a wedding and trip to WDW. He owes you BIG time!! I hope you have a trip planned really soon after the new arrival. We took our baby girl at 3 1/2 months along with her 7 and 5 year old brothers-( she's now 15) and it was a great. Congratulations in advance for your new baby!

Sorry to hear you can't go to WDW but just think of all the trips you'll be making w/ the little one in the future. Oh yeah just a side note, I counted on fingers....you said you are due in about a month and wasn't it EIGHT months ago that you were at the Boardwalk Villas? Is this another commercial for the little "souvenier(sp)"? ;)

Massachusetts here also. We are going to spend the SuperBowl week at the Boardwalk hopefully watching the Pats at the ESPN club.

4 more weeks for baby. Go with him. Disney has lots of Charactors to deliver if baby wants to out to see Mickey.

If you do not go, DH reaklly owes you a trip now/

My family was supposed to go last October, but pregnancy complications caused us to cancel it. I was 5mths along and had early labor. Well my little one was born on Feb 11th, and we have his first trip planned. We are going down on Dec 3rd for 6 nights at WL. Believe me I'm counting the days. I really miss the world, and have been bummed by our not being able to go. Its especially hard when one of my friends keeps rubbing her trips in my face..including the girl's only trip(guess I wasnt invited since I'm now a mommy) All and all my little boy was worth it, and I cant wait to see his expressions when he meets the mouse

Fiver :D

Actually, Tigger1, there are probably restrictions on flying and being 8 months pregnant, I know there was with my wife. Something about plane cabin pressure, or in not being good for baby and mom. I guess one could take a train, but all that bumping and motion may not be good either.

That must be some wedding to have it at the GF, one can only imagine.

Your next vacation and all the memories you have to come in the coming years with your new baby will more than make up for this one trip. If anything did happen, you don't want to be in a position with regrets. You did the right thing, it's not worth taking any risks, especially knowing that with the beauty of ownership, you'll be back again and again.

Congradulations. We'll look forward to hearing from you. I wouldn't answer that question about "our little souvenier" if it's true you might try for a commercial role before advertising for free here...... ;-)

You definitely get some sympathy from me here in Central MA! Congrats on the new baby in advance! Just think of all the fun you'll have taking the new little one to WDW over and over and over and over........... :D

Congratulations on the coming baby JackMom99!

I missed out on a Disney wedding too!!!:( My childhood bestfriend had a Disney "Intimate" Wedding in 10/98 (only family & wedding party). I was in her bridal party. But I didn't get to go because I was pregnant too. But my due date wasn't until 1/99, 2 1/2 months later!

I think there was a cap of how many guests they could invite in an Intimate Wedding, so when I got pregnant, we got dis-invited!! Her excuse was that her parents didn't want me traveling in case of complications in the pregnancy!

Anyways, I was very hurt but I put myself in her shoes and I kind of understood her delimna and just let it go.

Dh owes you a trip after the baby's born!

LOL!! That's how we ended up buying DVC - I was pregnant was our second daughter and planning a much needed Disney vacation for after the baby was born. Dh got me diamonds when our first child was born - I asked for DVC instead of jewelry the second time around!

Hope you have a safe delivery and a healthy baby!!!

My husband got to go to disney without me a year ago for a work conference at the Grand Floridian. We had already taken my daughter out of school for 4 nights the Nov before for a disney trip and she couldn't miss any more school. Our district is very strict with absences. I would have loved to have stayed at the GF!. You are doing the right thing. I know it is hard missing the wedding but at least with DVC that next trip can't be very far away. Congratulations on the new baby! :)

Thanks for all the well wishes! Yes......we were there 8 months ago;)

Keep an eye out for my DH if you're there this weekend!!
