I cannot wear Lee jeans anymore. I went shopping last week and discovered that both brands make my butt look HUGE! And what's with the baggy-butt styles?
I tried on some stretch-type Levi's and they looked good, but the regular Levi's were baggy-butted too. I also got a pair of Westport jeans with no pockets on the butt. :thumbsup2
So...who else has faced facts? :teeth:

I just recently had to face the fact that although I'm a 39 yr. old woman, I am built like a 14 yr. old boy. Women's jeans don't fit me properly, and even if I could find a pair that do, so many of them are these low-rise, flared-leg, sequinned stuff, which I have no desire to wear. I don't want to wear a fad--I just wan't some basic jeans. I finally bought a few pair in the men's section--Levi's 501's. They're just about the only thing that fits my straight-as-a-board, no-butt bod.

Hey! There's 2 of us! Are we a clique?

;)

The only jeans that looked at all decent on me are Lee Relaxed Fit.

Of course, I have to order them online in order to get them on sale -- can never find my size at any of the big department stores when they are on sale.

I'm another one who could do without flared legs, sparklies, etc. And what's the deal with making toddler jeans that are flared -- I have to roll DD's jeans up and the flared jeans don't hold a cuff at all. Ugh!

Maybe we should all give up on wearing clothing altogether? :rotfl2:

You know how I feel about Mom Jeans! :furious:
I will help you pick out some jeans this summer. :smokin:

There's something about Lee jeans that is almost universally unflattering unless you have a really, highly specific body type.

I think they look like mom jeans on most people, myself included (and I'm not a mom!) :p They don't even look good on the models in their magazine ads! Now... that's bad!

OMG, I'm on the outside of the clique 'cause I wear Mom Jeans! :rotfl2:

Oh, well, at least I have the two wonderful kids to go with the wide hips. :goodvibes

Honey, come back into the clique!! My hips are enormous, but I still don't wear mom jeans! They only make your butt look a foot longer and your tummy look bulgier! I'm not saying you need to wear super low-rise, but try some jeans that look 'less momlike' and see how your butt looks. :thumbsup2

Lee jeans, IMO, are the epitome of "mom jeans" heheh

Try jeans from gap (sales do run often!)...they come in "straight" fits now...made for those like you with "boy hips"

straight boy cut jeans

straight boot cut

Who snuck that drink in here? Outrageous!!! :furious: You can't bring drinks into the jeans dressing room  Here, it was good :teeth:

BTW, the only jeans I have found that fit me right are Old Navy low waist, boy cut.....they are awesome and so not mom jeans :goodvibes

I've always had to buy "slim fit" jeans. Not because I'm slim but because the relaxed fit just look so saggy and they make your hips look wide. Those jeans only look good on people with bubble butts. I always used to look horrible in carpenter style jeans--but some women look great in them.

"Lee jeans never die, they just fade away..."

I had a t-shirt that said that when I was a kid. One of my aunt's used to work at their HQ, I think in the KC area. I remember going to the company store with her.

Another aunt brought me that t-shirt and a jean skirt home when I was about 7. I loved it.

I wore Lee jeans exclusively in high school and just after. It was honestly all I could afford to buy. That was before they put them back into dept. stores. I used to get mine at Jacks a Wal-Mart type discount store that Shopko bought out.

Question about Levi's. Has anyone else noticed that their quality has just gone so downhill? DH has worn them forever, but has been saying that to me for awhile now.

The only jeans that look good on me are Gap jeans in a low to ultra-low rise. I have, like, *no* torso at all and am all legs. The Gap is one of the only places where I can consistently find Long length (I have to have a 34" inseam or I look ridiculous) and a low rise so I can create some sort of body for myself.

I think Gap has so many great shapes and styles... and good sales, too!

Yes, the quality has been going down. I buy and wear the Levi 560 or 569 from the young mens section. But the last 2 I bought, the jean has a khaki feel to them. I also bought a pair of 560 at JCPenney for $11 on the clearance rack and I probably washed them 10 times and they look really worn out already.

My god mother and my aunts all swear by Victoria's Secrets stretch jeans. They all have slim bodies with either the eroding butt syndrome or no butt at all. Apparently they are a bit pricey but they all love them and swear by them.

I also agree about the Levi's. My husband won't wear them anymore, which is a shame. ;) But he does like the old navy jeans now.

Ok I admit it - I wear low-rise jeans - I have no butt - and at least in them I am some assemblance of a butt - however I sometimes suffer from muffin top :lmao: - so I have to figure out which is worse muffin top of flat butt???? anyone....

I am not sure what Mom Jeans are - but I am assuming they are the high-waist-pocket-on-the-middle-of-your-butt-that-extend-around-your-hip. Yeah I used to wear those as well - I still love Levi's 501............on my hunny..very nice - of course he has a butt

So there I have faced facts - I have no butt

Okay, I promise I'll drop the kids at MILs and look for non-Mom jeans next time I'm in the market for new jeans.

Actually, I'm trying to get away from wearing jeans so often. As a SAHM, I'm starting to feel like a bit of a SLOB, wearing t-shirts and jeans so much. I need to get back to wearing slacks and blouses more... not to mention the need for some sexy undergarments. Just as long as my thong isn't peeking out of my low-rise jeans!
