Look, I'm only going to say this one more time....OLD NAVY LOW WAIST BOYCUT. You will love them :thumbsup2 Don't make me get ugly ;)

I don't even want to consider how bad I would look in anything "Boycut". And that's IF I could fit my butt into them. :lmao:

your butt will fit, they are very roomy :thumbsup2

Listen to Cantw8. She knows of what she speaks.

All my jeans are Old Navy low-rise or ultra-low-rise. All, uh ...I think it's 12 pairs at the moment. And boy-cut does not mean you have to be built like a boy. It means they are cut more like the jeans you'd steal from your husband/DH (if you weren't 5'2" and he weren't 6'4"...but that's beside the point!)--not baggy...still somewhat tailored, but cut to be kind to those areas that need compassion. :thumbsup2

Well ladies, I used to be a 2 "tall" in the gap........but that was 3 kids and a few cases of wine ago.....................I'm a flat *** victim and when I was preggo I sort of looked like Eeyore from the back (keeping it disney)....I must admit I now look for the higher waisted jeans to have something to fold my stomach up into. I've found some Tommy jeans that work and I have my old new york jeans. Low cut jeans on me are something else altogether, my 3 c section belly laps over the "waist" band. My *** does look less fat but I really don't think the flabby belly hanging over, visible from behind is the look I should be going for....

Anyone got a recommendation for a flat butt size 6 tall.......

Also, muffin top???? I'm top heavy, is that it????

I am :rotfl: over this thread. I have a lot of thoughts, but the one that I'm going to share with you all is that I need to go jean shopping! I'll start with the Gap and see how I like their jeans and move on from there. I rarely wear jeans because all I have are mom jeans and I hate the way they make me look so I just don't wear jeans.

I agree with some of the first posters: Levi's 501, button-ups. I am tall and w/ these I can get the right length. I also like my 30 year-old Levi jean jacket; it has been from Sequoia, Yellowstone, and several other National Parks to WDW. Easy to pack and never worry about wrinkles or spills.

Personally, I like ladies' Wranglers. I have always had hips. Even when I only weighed 95 lbs. BTW, I am 4'10". Wranglers seem to fit me best.

I like the low rise. I think they are more comfortable. It's been years since I've worn any kind of mommy pants. Now if I could just get those leg extensions. ;)

My kids hid my mommy jeans and I am happy about it :thumbsup2 They made me look too old! :sad2:

You, my friend, are obviously a very intelligent woman :thumbsup2

Are Wrangers made by Lee or visa versa? I know that Wrangler jeans are sold at the Lee outlet.

I am a denim queen...lol. I must own over 30 pairs of jeans.

Favorite fits for me are Lucky Brand and J.Crew. I have thighs, so I don't look good in the boy cut, and feel silly in flares. A nice boot cut is my favorite.

I guess I'm lucky though, cuz most brands fit me okay, as long as they aren't ultra low rise, then my booty crack shows and no one wants to see that!

I miss my 501's. They made the coolest cut-offs.

Alright...I'll ask the probably obvious question...

For those of us that have been stuck in Mom Jeans since the beginning of time and now want to take a walk on the wild side of fashion, are these Old Navy BOYCUT found in the men's or ladies section? And these are roomy and forgiving enough to fit those of us with mom hips, mom butts, mom thighs, and mom stomachs?

They are in the ladies section and they are roomier through the butt, hips and thighs ;)

I'm begging you PLEASE ditch the Mom jeans! They don't look good on anyone! Anything with elastic in the waist must go!

I'm over 35 & I like Levi's superlow cut with a flare leg. I'm short and short waisted and these look best on me. I also like Gap.

Oh wow, this thread is tooooo funny! I dropped DS off at tennis tonight and went..... jean shopping! To come home and read this thread is a hoot. I saw Lee jeans and thought "no way..." I am 5'3", so I need a petite or short length. Cringed at the rhinestones, really don't like the faded jeans (when my jeans look like that they go to goodwill - certainly not going to buy new like that), in fact, I came home empty-handed and landed here.

So nice not to feel alone in the "where are comfy yet stylish looking jeans for moms?" quest.....

Go figure...and here I always thought I looked good in my Lee (mom jeans). :confused3

No being top heavy is a blessing when you have no butt...

Muffin Top is what happens when you wear too tight jeans/pants and that extra little "fluff" that squeezes itself over the top of your waist band, especially with low rise jeans - hence you have the appearance of having a muffin top.....it happens to me during the special time of the month when I am carrying around some extra baggage.......

And I can so relate to the c-section belly shelf - Oh my what a sight isn't it!!!

heheh...I sometimes muffin top...I've, sadly, gained some weight in the hip area. A loose fitting top will cover that right up though! heheheh

I LOATHE Old Navy pants.
even their "long" style...still not long enough for anyone over 5'7 IMO.
I'm 5'9"...I can ONLY wear their shorts, capris, and skirts...I just avoid full length pants there.

OK, so I put on my new jeans this morning and I realize that having them fit tighter and not having the baggy butt makes me feel thinner. And since I've given up my pleats and elastic waists and baggy butts people ask me if I've lost weight. :thumbsup2
