I'm not motivated....

Buffy,
I can come and play - your not too far from me. Infact this weekend i am getting a girl's sleep over at the casino to see david coperfield (won it at an auction) WOW - an childfree - night away from home!!! HEAVEN!!! MAybe thats what you need. FYI-- The Walmart in Newington had the pet stuff on clearance the other day.
Our house is under major construction - I would let you come over and play with my cricut! and offer free counseling (since thats what i do!)
Jennifer

My Walmart emptied the entire scrap section. Everything was gone! Those were the pads I was looking for. I need to head to Waterford today so I'm going to look at their Super Walmart to see what I can find. I think I'll hit Target too.

We have about 1 year before we actually sell, but I want to be ahead of the game. We are going through each room, painting decluttering, etc. We are also going to get a home inspection done so we can fix potential problems before hand.

We sold a 3000 sq ft house and bought this one which is 1100 sq ft and we threw nothing out. Not one thing! :scared: We have since gotten rid of 3 dumpsters full of things but the house is so small that if you lay a piece of paper down it looks cluttered. I am going through my unload it phase. DH and I will go through phases where we just toss huge amounts of stuff. And right now it's my turn. LOL
I need to get out of this funk!!!! Anyone want to come to the middle of no where CT and hang out????
OK off to do some retail therapy, well not really. I need to buy food for the kiddos but I guess it counts right??

I wish someone was close enough to come and play with me:sad1: I've got my customers coming for a crop on Monday though. I might put somehitng on the UK site - me and Queenie can't possibly be the only DIS-scrappers in the UK!

Yeah we are a little far apart, opposite ends of the country and whatnot LOL!

I'm struggling to get motivated myself. I have so many pics from last trip to WDW and I really want them done by the time we go again, it's just so daunting!

I feel your pain, Buffy. I was in a funk for a year and a half. I would literally go to a monthly crop and work on the same page for 6 hours and go home with practically nothing done. I've been collecting Disney scrap stuff for months but still only have 6 pages done from my Dec. 2005 WDW trip. I have two additional trips to DL since then that I have to scrap as well yet I had no motivation to work on my Disney pages.

I also have hardly ANY space to scrap. Our house is also tiny with only 1000 square feet and I literally scrap in the corner of the living room. It is hard to get to my things, my paper is almost completely inaccessible when I scrap at home and I have to move everything on end table when I want to use my Cricut. It was just so HARD to scrap that I wasn't doing anything at home and I was stifled by my CMC when I went to her crops.

Two things helped me.
1) My CMC turned into a psycho witch so I had to search out another CMC and found other places to crop. We also got a new LSS down the street and I met a bunch of people like me who scrap but don't have kids. It has really rejuvenated me to have new motivators to work on my books.
2) I had to step away from my WDW trip completely and scrap something smaller so I decided to do my birthday trip to LA from last year. It was a quick trip so I don't have tons of pics and it is a defined trip so I have a beginning and end. I go to Disney so much that my pics seem to be never-ending!

It also helps that I got a Cricut for Christmas and that has really made a difference but it was honestly that I went to a smaller project so that things seemed less daunting. When I finish my LA trip, I'm going to do a few more general layouts from last year to finish my year album and then I'm going to do my kitty album. After those projects, I'm hoping I'll finally be ready to dive back into Disney (which is good because we already have our next two trips booked! :scared1: )

I wish you a speedy de-funking and much motivation. I'm sorry you're going through this! :flower3:

So I went for a little retail therapy session today. Swiped the last of the doggie stuff but they had no 8x8 paper so tomorrow I'll hit the next closest Walmart. Good thing they are a stones throw away from each other!
I even found stuff for my last CJ. I had a fleeting moment of clarity and inspiration struck so I'm running with it!

Jennifer you'll be supremely close to me this weekend! But the kids have a b'day party at W.O.W. in Waterford on Sat and DH leaves for Vegas on Sun so I can't come play, hmmm maybe I should jet over to the casino for a quick meet and greet?!?!? I had a night away not to long ago at the LSS in Westbrook. I actually got 22 -24 pages done. I was pleased. I just don't know where to go next.

Shauna I remember your funk. I'm so sorry your CMC turned out to be a real piece of work. I love my CMC, don't I Lisa ;)

I think what I really need to do is concentrate on getting the house squared away, pack my bag for Lisa's monthly crop and pack everything else up. If I get the house in tip top shape then I won't feel guilty about scrapping.
I hate being a responsible mom and wife!! :rotfl2:

Off to work on my CJ!!! Thanks for the shoulders to cry on!!!:grouphug:

:wave2: I'm right there with you too Buffy! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I must get myself motivated to do my Disney book. I've been looking back on my 2004 Disney books and thinking that they were really fantastic. Then I start thinking, how can I top those and come up with new ideas? I really need some Scrapbook therapy! ;)

My CMC turned into a psycho witch. :scared1: Hey, if it helps you get going.:confused3 :lmao: Though I think my suggestion of depleting my DH's summer supply of beer would be a lot more fun!

 Buffy!!!
I'm here for ya!
We'll get you out of this funk in no time..
Besides if not we can all meet at Lisa's to deplete her DH's beer supply.. I don't drink so it could be a crazy night with a light weight around..but I don't and won't do beer so I'll have to have something else!!!!

My OLD CMC turned into a psycho witch so I got a new one and she has been more motivating.

Beer sounds good! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

And I thought I was the only one. I have done a whopping 3 or 4 pages so far for the whole month and I hate every one of them. I just cant seem to get motivated at all. :sad1:

OMG these took me 6 hours!!! That is so long for me, but I'm really pleased with them.

Very cute Buffy!!! Is that quickuts punkins?

My swap and your CJ are the same topic, so I'm just making extras. I'm having the most trouble with the journaling...that is my "not motivated" point. Anyway, it's coming together, and should be in the mail tomorrow or Thursday :teeth:

Buffy, those pages look great! I know what you're talking about--I went through that funk for a couple of years. I had all of this scrap stuff, and didn't do anything. You know what got me out of it?? I found the scrapbooking board on the DIS!! :thumbsup2 (Gee, and if only depleting Lisa's DH's beer supply would've been an offer THEN!! :rotfl2: )

I hope your funk eases up soon! We'll get you through it!! Here's a dancing banana to start!

Love those pages! As my work is moving more and more to being done from home (to reduce the London estate) DH says in a year or two we might move the boys in together and use the smaller room as an office. I'm not sure about putting them in together but an office would be useful - I could do al sorts of things with that :goodvibes :goodvibes

I love that pumpkin vine. That must have taken forever to glue down.

Mazda, if I put my boys together in one room...well there wouldn't be much of a room left. :rotfl: Hope yours get along nicer than mine do. A room to shut the door on sounds nice.

Buffy,
Those look great.. simple and elegant.. nothing is overwhelming. Very tastefully done!
I love the pumpkin vines... wonderful job!!!

Love the pumpkin vine and the little tag! So cute!

AWE! Thanks for the complements. The pumpkins and vines are both from Jolee's. And I only glued the vines down on some of the leaves, I wanted to give it a flowy look.

Deb I have trouble journalling too. I am not very good with words and expressing thoughts. Plus I have a terrible memory so if something funny happened I have to write it down right away.

I've been in the funk too. If it hasn't been for swaps, CJs and gifts I wouldn't have anything done. I have my new house book supplies and pictures just waiting to be put together but everytime I look at it I just can't get started. I was planning on doing a year in review kindof book but here it is May and I haven't started yet. LOL I am getting good at moving my stuff around and getting stuff sorted but I'd like to have something to show for all my new space.
