I'm making up a petition. Who's signing.

From all the talk here on DIS I was expecting to hate the ride...well my 9 yr old dd wanted to go I went with her..she loved it & I didn't think it was as bad as people were saying. It was o.k for me.

Everyone is not going to like everything. I myself thought Stitch was cute and I also liked AE when it was there. Yes, I could have done without the burp, but other than that it was cute. I can say though that I would choose Stitch over Spaceship Earth any day! Can you say boring! But that is MY opinion so I just avoid it if I don't feel like riding it. Why can't people just leave Stitch alone already. Lots of people don't like Small World but instead of petitioning Disney to remove it, they just skip it.

AMEN PhotobearSam! There so many great attractions that are fading away or empty that some can or needs to have something done with them. I als oagree with some other posters...not every person is going to enjoy or like every attraction. If you don't like it don't go on it, it's that simple. How would you like it if they got rid of your favorite ride because a lot of other people don't like it. On a side note...I loved Alien Encounter and have not yet been on Stitch (it was being built the last time we were there). Will I like Stitch; don't know. Do I miss Alien Encounter; yes. There are so many great things to see and do at WDW I'm not goingto let one or two attractions I may not like ruin my great time.

Ive never been on Stitch, it wasn't there when we went last time. But Im sure my kids will want to try it, at least once. But if we don't like it then we will skip it in the future. And if the wait is 90 minutes , I would take advantage of all those people in that line not being in line for something else we want to do.

So, you want us to sign a petition because YOU don't like a ride?
We all went on Stitch last week and thought it was neat. I see nothing wrong with the Stitch attraction that would make people want to have it removed.

No matter where you go in life you'll find things you don't like.
If you don't like a particular ride then skip it.

I highly doubt Disney will pull an entire attraction because a few people on DIS put together a "Get rid of Stitch" petition.

There are a few rides I thought were stupid at WDW, but I just skipped them this time. If enough people skip Stitch then Disney's lightbulb will turn and and change it. Right now I think it's fine, and so does my family.

Thanks for the warning. We are headed down there in 10 days, and will definitely avoid Stitch.

why don't you experience for yourself?
some people do enjoy this ride...some people like to bash this "ride"...I'd form my own opinion of it if I were you.

We got sucked into waiting way too long for Stich's during our last stay. It wasn't worth it at all. I thought Alien Encounter was a lot better and they only put Stich in there to get him out in the park for marketing purposes. (It is Disney after all.) I would skip it from now on.

I agree Stich has got to go. :badpc: When the ride, show, attraction what ever you call it was over we couldn't believe it. We all looked at each other in disbelive. What the heck was that we all said, unsure if the is was over or not. When everybody else got up to leave we assumed it was. It was the worsed experience my family has ever had in any park not just Disney

AE was so much better We still talk about the time our DS screamed to get off the ride because he was so scared. Please bring back AE

I haven't even been on it and I hate it!!! Don't care for the character and the attraction seems so so to me. The alien encounter that was there before was ok. It got a few screams out of me. :goodvibes I agree they should stick with some of the old faithful rides and attractions while introducing new things. But no more stitch please......

The smell and the pain from the shoulder harnesses seem to be the worst parts of the attraction. I personally do not care for it and would like to see it replaced with something else, but if others are really enjoying it that much, I think I will just avoid it and they can leave it.

I also hated it. I keep banging my head thinking I should have gone on Buzz Lightyear again instead of wasting my time.

Everyone's taste in rides is different. Went on Stitch in Feb 05 and was not too crazy about it. DH, DS(10) and DD(7) loved it. Went twice. Not worth the wait for me so I sat out.

That being said, MGM is DH favorite park, could spend 3 days there. WON'T RIDE ToT AT ALL. Rode it once, never again. Last trip, kids and I went on 4 times, DH - 0.

Everyone enjoys different things. Leave Stitch alone, there are those who love. Let them enjoy it.

I do agree with PhotoBearSam......Disney should pay attention to some of the older rides. My family loves CoP but we are tired of going on and getting stuck or breaking down. Fix it, please!

Last week as my family walked up to this attraction I told them everybody on the DIS says it's awful, but there was no wait so they ignored my pleas to skip it. We all thought it was awful and DH gained new respect for the DIS. Later in the trip he really wanted to go on Mission Space but after I told him what everybody here said about it at first he said "Oh come on, why would they keep a ride if it makes everyone so sick?", but after considering how right you guys were about Stitch he decided to skip MS. Everyone has their own tastes and I don't know if I would go so far as to get rid of it, but I thought the Stitch show was just abysmal, especially coming from Disney. Maybe if everyone boycotts it Disney will get the hint. On the other hand, we absolutely LOVED Mickey's Philharmagic and went back to see it again. I can't believe those two attractions came from the same think tank. JMHO

Maybe if everyone boycotts it Disney will get the hint.
There's no question about that, but to the extent that there are people who enjoy the ride, that's not going to be the case.

Get rid of it I don't think so my DD loved this attraction and so did many other family's there. And with the 30min wait I think it will be around for awhile.

To each there own I say.. :flower:

So, you want us to sign a petition because YOU don't like a ride?

I believe that the OP was only soliciting for common opinions from those who agree with his/her position. Therefore, you are under no obligation to sign such a petition.

:)

I asbsolutly agree this one has to go! I saw it when it was Alien Encounter and it scared me to death, and I vowed to never do it again. But atleast at that time it had a point, teenager/adult oriented ride, that scares you to death, my husband loved it. Now we have this aweful dark attraction that is marketed to little kids, while still being a lot like Alien Encounter. I mean what's the point? I will sign the petition GLADLY!

The Beverly is horrible, but I doubt that they will ever take it out of the Ice Station because it is a Coca-cola product (unless, of course, they replace them with Pepsi products). I live in Atlanta and we have the World of Coca-Cola. If anyone ever makes it to Atlanta, I would recommend going. On the third floor of the World of Coca-Cola, which is a huge museum of Coca-Cola, they have a place where you can taste sodas from around the world. It is very much like the Ice Station Cool, but on a grander scale. When you visit the soda tasting floor, the big joke is to get unsuspecting guests to try the Beverly. The Beverly is from Italy and is considered an aspertif. I may be wrong, but I think that people are supposed to drink it after the meal. Coca-Cola probably thought that since Epcot has the World Showcase, then they should put the world showcase of sodas in Epcot. As long as there are Coke products, there will always be the Beverly. Sorry to disappoint you!

(Kinda like just how bad is the Beverly at Ice Station Cool)

I went on Stitch just because I wanted to see how "horrrible" it was. I had such low expectations that the ride ended up seeming not all that terrible.

There could be a few reasons why, though. I had never been on AE before, so I had nothing to compare it to. I knew from the DIS that the biggest complaints were the shoulder harnesses hurting and the chili dog smell, so as the shoulder harnesses were coming down, I sat up real straight and put my hands on my shoulders so that it didn't come down all the way. I also held my breath when I could tell the chili dog smell was coming. So I didn't experience any of the pain or nasty smell...and the ride didn't seem so terrible to me.

Didn't mind the Stitch ride so much, but I'll make a deal with you. You add to this "petition" that they bring back 20,000 Leagues and Mr. Toad, and I'll join your militia.
