I'M JUST SHOWBOATIN' AROUND THE WORLD! & getting pooped on. Jan 13 TR! NEW TR POSTED!

Chapter Thirty-Four: Eating a Nutella Waffle Sandwich is seriously an event in itself.
Day 6: January 22nd, 2013

After we ended our voyage under the sea, we met up with Bruce and Amy... and I saw that Gaston was meeting people! It wasn't hot Gaston, but I still thought it would be awesome to meet him. Unfortunately I missed the cut off at the end of the line, so we headed out and over to Big Thunder for some FPs!

On our way, I marveled at the new Tangled restroom area that they were working on. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS IN PERSON. I have seen the photos and it's BEAUTIFUL in that area. Ugh. Restrooms or not, it's kind of amazing and I can't wait to see it in September!

file_zps5faca71c.jpg

We had to stop for a photo opp in Liberty Square because we'd never done it before, AND there wasn't anyone around...

I kind of love this photo of us, hahaha.

file_zps1f9dde7a.jpg

Bruce and Amy were just really sad about being jailed.

file_zps2b2fa673.jpg

We finally got over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and grabbed our Fast Passes!

file_zps1de1c5d3.jpg

Man, looking back, we were getting a lot done this morning and it was nice to have it not be insanely busy in the parks! Definitely nice that the MLK Jr. Weekend crowds were finally dying down a bit, because they were really cramping our style.

We still hadn't gone on Jungle Cruise yet, so we all headed over there for a little cheesy-joke fun. On our way, I stopped to take a photo of the progress on Splash Mountain. I was SO happy to see them giving it such a much-needed refurb. It was crazy to see it like this, though!

file_zpsa5c4a2f4.jpg

I've heard that it looks BEAUTIFUL now and so I can't wait to go on this in September. I will probably just want to ride it over and over again (much to Matt's disliking) in September, haha. He hates the drops, but loves everything else... but at least he understands why I love it so much!

Jungle Cruise had a bit of a wait, but it wasn't the end of the world. It actually gave me time to look at some of the details in the queue... which I LOVED. I love how the really dry and ridiculous jokes can be found all over the queue if you look!

file_zps01634ad7.jpg

file_zps964b9eec.jpg

file_zps714df1bf.jpg

I love Jungle Cruise. I love the corny jokes, and especially when you get a good skipper. We had a good one from what I can remember! Plus, elephants!

Animatronic or not, they're adorable.

file_zps16b40e88.jpg

file_zps3ab8e681.jpg

I always find myself laughing really hard, even while it's pretty quiet because people don't get the jokes or whatever, hahaha. I'm that girl, what can I say?

Anyway, we headed back over to Big Thunder from Jungle Cruise for a wild ride in the wilderness!

file_zps2ef29e1d.jpg

We had a blast, but Bruce and Amy decided they wanted to head back to their room to rest, but before they went back, we all grabbed more FPs and they gave us theirs!

I have to say, one big benefit of going with a group of people: when two people don't want to go on something, you can get their FPs and go on twice! It's quite awesome.

Matt and I decided at the same time that we were really jonesin' for a snack, so we walked with Bruce and Amy through Adventureland, and then said goodbye to them!

We hooked a left, just before heading out of Adventureland and into the hub... Because it was time for the most epic snack that you could ever imagine... that resides at Sleepy Hollow... The...

Nutella Waffle Sandwiiiiiiich!

Well actually, we had to sit in a line for a while before we could order, but we knew it was well-worth the wait.

While we waited, there was a couple behind us who had on the bride/groom ears and was obviously on their honeymoon. I almost said something to them but then didn't, and I have no idea why. But I love seeing other couples go to Disney for their honeymoon/anniversary because that's how we've done things... and, well, we've obviously loved every second of it.

Anyway, we both ordered iced coffees of some sort, and decided to split the Nutella Waffle sandwich because we'd heard it was the perfect snack to split with a person.

Soon enough, our order was called and we were handed our delicious-looking basket of amazingness, topped with bananas and strawberries.

file_zpsb58d3e9f.jpg

I mean, come on, how good does that thing look?!

I tortured Matt by making him wait after we sat down at a table for another photo. I am cruel.

file_zps3546f5f2.jpg

I finally let him dig in and... yup... The ooey gooey deliciousness of the Nutella on the waffle just looked crazy good.

file_zps1dcbf1ba.jpg

I could not wait any longer, put down my camera, and dug in... and it was SO SO good.

This became one of my favorite things I've ever eaten at Disney World. I mean, it's so simple, just fruit, Nutella and a waffle... but together, it's just perfect. And ridiculously delicious.

Sure, I could make it at home, but this is so sinful that I really think limiting it to Disney World makes it ten times more special.

We also really enjoyed the area we got to sit in and eat. It was nice and quiet, with a perfect view of the castle. It was a nice break and I'm looking forward to eating there next trip!

We left Sleepy Hollow and had a serious sudden urge to go on the Haunted Mansion (though this isn't out of the norm for Matt, duh).

Unfortunately, things were starting to pick up at the park, so the wait said it was 30 minutes. We didn't really mind since it didn't actually look that long, plus we didn't have anywhere to be, so we hopped in line anyway!

file_zpsb4a7d17e.jpg

It ended up not even taking that long, which was great! Only around 10-15 minutes! I love the queue anyway, so I was cool with it.

file_zps96c9fc2d.jpg

file_zps9c6b85c8.jpg

file_zps68fbc4bc.jpg

file_zps67124bce.jpg

After we got on, the ride actually stopped... a lot. Most people get all cranky about this, but for me and Matt, HECK NO.

Matt, because it's his favorite ride, and me, because it means I can actually get some decent photos in the dark on my camera!

file_zps600911af.jpg

file_zps86a33c12.jpg

file_zps11c22b8c.jpg

file_zps2d6ccb93.jpg

file_zps4dbad47e.jpg

It was a fantastic ride for photos, and as much as it took a while, we obviously enjoyed ourselves on it.

Our Big Thunder FPs were up, so we headed over there and ran into a loooong FP line, which was a little annoying. Evidently the crowds weren't completely gone, but luckily we only waited around 10 minutes.

file_zps2090a796.jpg

After we got off, we had our next set of FPs but both decided we didn't want go on it again because the line had only grown longer.

So we stood around for a few minutes, looking for a couple who would want to go on BTMRR. Just as I was about to give up, I spotted an older couple walking up the FP machines. I asked if they'd be interested in FPs, because didn't want to wait and had just gone on, and they were ADORABLE.

They were so happy about it and the man even patted me on the back, haha. It was too adorable, because

A. they were so thankful and
B. they were older and going on BTMRR and that just made me really happy.

I want to be them one day with Matt; still going to Disney World and still riding things like Big Thunder Mountain.

We headed off in search for some lunch and later witness one of the coolest/weirdest/creepiest things that very few people see in Disney World... (Mind you, I personally find this thing cool/creepy/weird, but you might not, haha).

Continued in next post

Mmmm the Nutella waffle looks divine! I can't wait to try that! I've had the chicken which was a bit too spicy for me.

Great shots from HM! :thumbsup2

I wonder what could be so creepy at MK?? :scratchin

Oh my lanta. That nutella waffle sandwich. I have never had it but dang, it looks SOOO tasty that I can't wait to try it! Like, that's the first thing I am going to eat on my first MK day. No hesitation. I dream of it.

I LOVE giving away fastpasses that I can't use. People get so excited and it's such a good feeling because they are usually soooo appreciative.

Also, great Liberty Square stockade photo. You and Matt are all "yeah, we did it. What of it?!" And Bruce and Amy just look so sad. Like they didn't mean to do it and just fell in with the wrong crowd. :rotfl2:

The Tangled bathrooms are indeed stunning.

I love the Jungle Vruise queue too, especially the spider. So much fun watching people react to that. Heck, I react to it too and I know it's there!

I think I'm one of those people that laughs on Jungle Cruise because I hate when no one laughs. Plus, I always feel bad for the skipper in those cases. This is cheese at it's best people!!

I find it funny that so many people think Haunted Mansion breaks down a lot. They just don't realize the ride has to be stopped in order to let some people (wheelchair, etc) get on.

And then another cliffhanger!!!!! popcorn::

Ah.. The Nutella Waffle! I want that! In a few days I can have that!

So cute that you were able to give the FP tickets to an older couple. I think that is so sweet!

NUTELLA WAFFLE SANDWICH
AHHH
MY LOVE

Oh man, those restrooms are to die for! The little details are beyond amazing in there! I managed to walk up to check them out when the kingdom dance song was playing and I nearly cried….over a bathroom…only true Disney fans would do something like that…or talk to a trash can…gawsh we’re weird

I am SO down to riding splash repetitively with you….don’t know how long Mom will last on that one over and over again haha. The paint was definitely re done, and it was brighter, and everything worked, but I didn’t notice anything big changed…

Drooling…I want one now… it’s so good, I definitely ate one all by myself…and then danced my way through Move It Shake It…worst food cramp EVER…yum

I really do love jungle cruise, the jokes may be corny, but they’re still kidna funny, last time we had a skipper with a thick accent though and it was super hard to understand him, and half the boat didn’t speak English…made for a rough crowd… Lawl.

that whole tangled area is beyond gorgeous. I can't wait for you to experience it!!

and giving away fast passes is one of my favorite things ever. it always gives me the warm & fuzzies, and trying to find the perfect people is the best.

So, yeah, I'm on a pretty serious diet right now and while 99% of the time I'm doing really well and food posts don't get to me... that Nutella sandwich put me over the edge. Between that and the carrot cake cookie, I'm drooling!

I haven't seen pics of the Tangled area either!!! I've heard how amazing it is so I'm SUUUPER excited. :woohoo:

Splash. </3  Thank God it's up and running again!!

NO DEMON BRIDE NO. :scared:

Awww the FP couple sounds precious.

That sandwich looks so good!!! That was on my list for last time but between all the meals/snacks, I'm never hungry enough for it. I WILL try it next time!

I might be just a liiiiiitle more excited about the Tangled bathrooms than anything in New Fantasyland!!! :rotfl: They look so amazing and I LOVE Tangled!!

Y'all were really keeping it moving that morning! That's awesome when you can get so much done because the crowds have finally gone home.

That Nutella waffle sandwich looks amazing! It seems like they have gotten pretty popular, as I've seen them popping up in a lot of TR's. Glad to know it's as delicious as it looks. :thumbsup2

Man, DH would probably be in heaven if we were stopped on HM and he could get such great photos in the dark!

I'm all way caught up! Yay! I love your TRs - you are obviously having such a blast and it shows! Looking forward to reading more.

And I'm totally jealous that you married a Disney Nut. My DH will go with me, and he has fun, but he doesn't have that slight touch of insanity that I think all DISers have. :joker:

We had the Nutella Waffle sandwich this past trip, and I swear I'm still dreaming and drooling over it!

Isn't it weird seeing Splash being refurbbed? I didn't like seeing it like that in February! I actually can't remember the last time I went on Splash. Last May maybe? Sad. It's one of my favorites, I can't wait to go on it again!

I can't wait to see the Tangled bathrooms too!!! I honestly don't care that they are just bathrooms, they look so beautiful! :thumbsup2

OMG that nutella waffle!!! It looks SO good! I wanted to get one when I was there but we always ended up going somewhere else to eat! I'm definitely trying it the next time I'm there! YUM!!!

So it's almost dinnertime here, and between the Nutella waffle sandwich pictures and the Crystal Palace breakfast pictures, I'm contemplating eating my own hands, lol.

Bruce and Amy planking was hilarious! At first I thought that they had both gotten so sick that they had collapsed in front of your door! I'm glad that they were finally both all better!

I don't know when I'll get married, but there's one thing for sure: we will be having a Disneymoon and we will wear bride and groom ears! There's really only one time in your life that it's acceptable to do that, so you might as well!

Those pictures on Haunted Mansion are so good!! Every time I've been on it when it's stopped, it's been at a not great spot for pictures. Also, I really love the picture of the hub/Main Street from the castle. It would make an excellent Facebook cover photo!

Um I've never been so excited to see a bathroom in my life as I am about the Tangled ones :lmao:

Aw I love the pictures of you guys all jailed up. Totally adorable.

Oh man I really need this fruit and nutella waffle in my life. So hungry now :rotfl:

That's so cute that you gave your FPs to an older couple. I hope I'm still riding BTMRR when I get up there in age.

Hm I can't wait to see what this cool and creepy thing is!

I don't remember exactly where I left off, so I'm just going to try catching up on the past few updates!

I'm sorry you had such an unpleasant experience with the CM when you were getting your Dooney bag - that's just not necessary anywhere, and especially in Disney. On a better note, I LOVE the bag you picked! I haven't gotten any of the Disney Dooney's yet because of the price (I only have one of their bags I got as a Christmas gift many years ago), but the pattern you chose is my FAVORITE, and definitely the style I hope to get one day.

Freaking Wookie planet....I can't believe that was the LAST scene you had to see before seeing all of them, lol. Hopefully we'll finally visit another planet in Disneyland!

I love all your early morning heading to MK pictures, especially the one with the monorail!!

I still have never done Crystal Palace- mostly because I only want to try it for breakfast to get the puffed french toast, but neither of us are big breakfast people. I think next summer might be when we do a big family trip for my nephews' first visit, so maybe then!

I had to stop and re-read this sentence multiple times for it to sink in:
since they weren't really into New Fantasyland
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THESE WORDS TOGETHER.

My husband can't ride Space Mountain either because of back issues, so he does exactly what you did while I go on it - ride the People Mover!

How exciting is it that after tomorrow MARISSA WILL FINALLY HAVE SEEN NEW FANTASYLAND???

I haven't had the Nutella Waffle Sandwich, but the Chicken Waffle Sandwich is one of my favorite meals at Magic Kindom/WDW. I just wish they didn't stop serving it so early!

So jealous of your HM pictures!! I wouldn't mind getting stopped on that ride either, especially in the attic or graveyard scenes - I feel like I've only seen 5% of what is in those rooms because my eyes will only focus on so much as you move by.

Mmmm the Nutella waffle looks divine! I can't wait to try that! I've had the chicken which was a bit too spicy for me.

Great shots from HM! :thumbsup2

I wonder what could be so creepy at MK?? :scratchin

It IS divine! We considered the chicken one, but Nutella is going to always be a winner for us!

Thanks... and yeah, you'll see soon! I thought it was creepy, but not sure other people will, hahaha. I'm weird.

Oh my lanta. That nutella waffle sandwich. I have never had it but dang, it looks SOOO tasty that I can't wait to try it! Like, that's the first thing I am going to eat on my first MK day. No hesitation. I dream of it.

IT IS SO GOOD! You totally have to get it in September, and you won't regret it!!

I agree, it's way too much fun giving them away!

Hahahaha, such a good analysis of those photos, because it's true! We didn't care evidently.

The Tangled bathrooms are indeed stunning.

I love the Jungle Vruise queue too, especially the spider. So much fun watching people react to that. Heck, I react to it too and I know it's there!

I can't wait to see them!!

Yeah, it's all pretty awesome, and I feel like some people don't notice it! Too bad it'll be closed when we're there in September, wompwomp.

I am the same way! I can't stand awkward silences, so I laugh.. plus I find dry jokes pretty hysterical. Cheesy, but hilarious.

Haha, I know. But this day it was straight up stopping for a REALLY long time on numerous occasions. Other times it'll slow down a lot or stop for a few seconds, and people freak out. Yeeeahhh, no, haha.

Of course, cliffhangers are my thing! Hahah, evil.

Ah.. The Nutella Waffle! I want that! In a few days I can have that!

So cute that you were able to give the FP tickets to an older couple. I think that is so sweet!

YAY! I hope you enjoy the waffle! :) And yeah, I was so happy to give it to them!!

Yeah, it's that good, I'm with you!

I can't wait to see them all, but I totally get it, hahaha. True Disney fans we are!

I think I'm going to be pretty thrilled with Splash in its new condition, considering the last time I went on it was January 2012, everything was broken and looking run down, AND it kept breaking down (even once with us on it, stuck for 50 minutes before being evacuated, haha)... So to me, I'm thinking it'll look beautiful and I'll get to see lots of new things I've never seen before!

Hahaha, I actually ate strawberries with some Nutella on them earlier. It totally reminded me of the delicious sandwich. Not the same though!

Bahaha that sounds like an awkward trip on the Jungle Cruise.. tooooo bad it'll be closed in September, wompwomp.

that whole tangled area is beyond gorgeous. I can't wait for you to experience it!!

and giving away fast passes is one of my favorite things ever. it always gives me the warm & fuzzies, and trying to find the perfect people is the best.

EEEE I can't wait, either!

I so agree, it's the best thing ever and the look on people's faces (well, once you find people who are willing to take them) is priceless. LOVE IT.

So, yeah, I'm on a pretty serious diet right now and while 99% of the time I'm doing really well and food posts don't get to me... that Nutella sandwich put me over the edge. Between that and the carrot cake cookie, I'm drooling!

Hey, I just got back onto my stricter healthy eating (not calling it a diet, since it's really just a lifestyle change of eating better overall)... but I can tell you, writing the rest of this TR is going to be rough! Well, I do have a "cheat day" which is on Saturdays, so that's at least helpful. But I made myself feel better by eating fresh strawberries with Nutella for a dessert tonight! It definitely hit the spot... though I can't wait to be in Disney and eat the REAL thing, hahaha. ;)

AAHHHHH YOU ARE IN DISNEY WORLD RIGHT NOW AND I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU.... ahem, sorry, but yeah. LOVE the tweets!

You also get to see the Tangled area NOW and um, I'm jealous. I can't even wait.

Splash Mountain, it's been so so long since I've been on it. I miss it! I can't wait to be reunited with it.

The FP people were adorable. :goodvibes

Great pics can't wait to go back

Thank you, I can't wait to go back, too!!

That sandwich looks so good!!! That was on my list for last time but between all the meals/snacks, I'm never hungry enough for it. I WILL try it next time!

OMG it is AMAZING, seriously. Try to get it in next time, you will not regret it!!

Awesome pics! :)

Aww thank you!! :)

Man, DH would probably be in heaven if we were stopped on HM and he could get such great photos in the dark!

Bahaha I'm with you! They DO look amazing, especially at night!!

We were cruising along... and yeah, the crowds didn't really leave... I'll get to that, wompwomp.

That sandwich is the best! SO good. I can't wait to eat it again!

Yeah, it was such good timing! Hard to get good photos on dark rides, ESPECIALLY Haunted Mansion!

Aww yay! I'm so glad you've caught up and you're enjoying my TR!!

I feel very lucky that Matt loves Disney so much! It makes random conversations about the parks awesome. :goodvibes

AH I'm so with you, so good!

YUM!!!

Yeah, it WAS weird, especially because I had no idea they were going to have all that scaffolding! So crazy. It's been a year and a half since I've been on it, wah. :(

I so agree with you! I just want to go visit them and take a ton of photos!

DO IT, you won't regret eating that deliciousness!

Hahaha I'm sorry, just terrible timing to be reading my TR I guess!

OMG, that would be horrible. Nope, them just being ridiculous and funny, hahaha.

Yeah do it up! We didn't do the ears, but we definitely wore our pins proudly! Disneymoons are so much fun!

Ahh thanks! That WAS my Facebook cover photo! But I switched to another one that I haven't posted yet. ;)

I'm so with you on that!!

Thanks, we're dorks, hahah.

Yeah, you do, it's so good. I just ate strawberries with some Nutella, so tasty!

I know, me too! They were so cute!

It's coming up quite soon, I promise!!

I don't remember exactly where I left off, so I'm just going to try catching up on the past few updates!

I'm sorry you had such an unpleasant experience with the CM when you were getting your Dooney bag - that's just not necessary anywhere, and especially in Disney. Hey girl heeeey!

It's all good, that CM was just a poop. And thank you! I LOVE that pattern, it's just way too adorable. I also have a wristlet that's black with the balloons all over it. I love them both!

Hahaha, the Wookie planet is the best one! Guess they saved the best for last!

Ahh thanks, it was gorgeous out that morning, even though it was chilly!

CP is so good! We love breakfast, so it's a must-do for us for sure. I swear it's worth it for getting in early to the parks and for the delicious food and adorable characters!

HHAAHAHA I was waiting for someone to comment on that! I was quite confused by it, myself... I mean, yeah... They like Disney but I don't know if they get it like we do, if that makes sense! But they still enjoyed themselves of course!

The PeopleMover is perfect for when you just can't do Space... I seriously fell in love with it this trip, more so than ever before!

I KNOW I AM SO HAPPY SHE SAW IT FINALLY!! Seriously, now she needs to get on Little Mermaid stat!

Yeah, that's part of the reason we go on HM so many times every trip. I mean, obviously it's Matt's favorite so we end up riding it a LOT, but also there's so many things you don't notice the first time. It's kind of awesome and why I have come to love the Haunted Mansion so much myself!
