Hi everyone :goodvibes

Well them 2 nights well and truly flew past, i can't believe i am home already :sad1:
My Sister in law loved it,and i mean loved it :lovestruc, she is already planning to visit with me again later on next year.

Best Bits

1) Getting upgraded from a standard room to a Montana with a lake view room, slippers, robes, choc coins, water, a rose and best of all VIP breakfast passes.:cool1: (It's amazing what you get when ask, especially if when you mention that on your last visit to the hotel you were downgraded )

2) The one hour window for AP holders in Toystory Playland which was 8.30-9.30, fab, fab, and fab again. All 3 rides done and dusted in half hour. It was practically empty.
Be warned though if you are visiting soon whilst it is still running as there is alot of confusion surrounding it. Reception at the Sequoia said it wasn't on anymore, City Hall said it was but for non AP holders there was a charge of 9 euros when accompanied by an AP holder:confused:
In reality it was as simple as walking up, showing my AP and telling them that my Sister in law was my guest.

3) Getting everything we wanted done

Not so good bits

1) The weather on Wednesday, rain, rain and a bit more rain. We had to make an unplanned pit stop to the Hotel New York and pop into their toilets with our cases to get changed, soaked through to the skin is an understatement and we both had rainmacs on.
Here are a couples of photos of just how bad it was at one point.

2) BBWWS, i am sad to say that although i loved the show the food was dire and it was a bit of a shambles. We were sat in green right at the top in the middle, good seats, but 10 mins into the show we still had no cutlery, metal bowls, nothing :confused3 Others colours at the top seemed to have theirs ok, it just seemed to be green. When the food did eventually arrive (wasn't served to us like all the others) it was only lukewarm at best.
It was a real shame as i had high hopes for the whole evening and would have been a bit miffed if i had of paid full price.

The only thing that is starting to concern me now a little is whether or not i will be ok on my own for 4 nights, having someone with me the whole time has made me worry a bit about being on my own now with no-one to talk to.
Although having already booked the Eurostar it would mean losing £69 if i cancelled and the deposit i paid for the hotel. :confused3
Think i will have to have to sit on it for a while and decide what to do

:scared1: at that rain!!
sounds like it was all in all another resounding success story - and another convert ;).

I cannot believe that rain!!!!!

Lucky you on the upgrade tho'!

You've got enough time until your solo trip to either convince a friend to come along, or choose some good books for company. Who knows, some fellow DISers may be at the parks at the same time and you can meet up?

Glad you got an upgrade. I must know, did you just ask for it? When we go into the DLH would it be rude to just ask if they would consider upgrading us for a birthday present?

Sorry about the rain, it looks bad! Does it rain hard like that often? Super that you got everything done that you wanted and your SIL loving it.

Does a USA Annual pass count to go in early? I hope so but doubt it.

WOW look at that rain, i have only experienced rain like that once at dlp luckily we were back at our room at the Cheyenne sat under the sheltered walkway, there was a thunder storm.
Glad you had a lovely time despite the weather.
My mum and i have discussed before if we could go on our own and i think that you will be ok it will give you time to soak all the magical atmosphere up look around at all the details. You may meet others there on their own.

Glad you got an upgrade. I must know, did you just ask for it? When we go into the DLH would it be rude to just ask if they would consider upgrading us for a birthday present?

I sent them an email a few weeks before our visit just to ask that although we had only booked a standard room if the hotel was not too busy would it be possible to have a room in the main building.
I did feel a bit cheeky doing it but thought if you don't ask you don't get. Of course i just happened to mention my last visit to the Sequoia Lodge and our disappointment a being downgraded rooms due to their overbooking.

Ohmiword you The Great Rain too!
Good news on getting upgraded and I'm glad your sil enjoyed it too.
Don't make a hasty decision on your solo trip - you may regret it later.

:scared1: wow look at that rain, total contrast from the weekend. It was glorious sunshine, even got sun burnt.

Good news on the upgrade wish I had thought of that:thumbsup2

Glad you had a great time and really good about the upgrade - you deserved it though after being downgraded last time

Also great about doing all the new rides so quickly

So glad you had such a good time, even with the crazy rain!!

Can i please ask what email address you used to ask for an upgrade please??
TIA xx

Great to hear you had such a lovely time. Don't make any hasty decisions yet about your next trip that you might regret, I'm sure you'll feel differently about it nearer the time.

Welcome back, glad to hear you had a lovely trip:thumbsup2

Fab news about the upgrade, well done there :thumbsup2
Weather well that's out of our control, but glad you were able to venture out and make the best of things. :goodvibes

Congrats on getting the upgrade well done!
Yikes that weather!

As for the going solo bit, my advice don't do anything hasty - I am going solo there next week and I'm really excited, but also a bit nervous! :)

During the day you should be ok with people watching, in and around the parks etc, for the evenings when i'm back in my room before crashing, I'm taking some magazines, MP3 player etc..... Plus my cuddly eeyore! ;)

I'll report back when i get back, on my feelings on going solo - but don't so anything too hasty!

Welcome back! :wave2: Congrats on the upgrade!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

 at the rain but glad you still had a great time. It's brilliant news that your sister-in-law enjoyed it too.

Wow that is fab about the upgrade, shame about the weather and BBWWS though - although glad to see you didn't let it spoil your holiday.

Can you tell me the email address you contacted?
Thanks!
