I'm not technically a college student yet (will be this fall) and I'm just so super excited. Everyone keeps telling me that the next four years will be the best years of my life but that it will go by like greased lightening.

Ever have a trip to Disney coming up in a few months and experience super excitement -- so much that you spend your time DIS'ing, listening to Disney music and that sort of thing? Well this is how I feel about college coming up but I have nothing to "fix" on heh.

Are there any sites or anything I can visit to help center my being so anxious? :upsidedow lol.

As someone going into college for the first time, I haven't a clue as to what I can expect...any advice? Anything I should know, things I should prepare for, ideas about what to bring into my dorm room, what things CAN go into my dorm room lol, and just anything else you think I should know?

With graduation coming up, I have been constantly thinking about this but then it hits me that college still isn't for a while lol.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! :goodvibes lol.

Anything that can be cooked in a microwave will become your best friend. Or with boiled water. But that's pushing it.

As far as your dorm, the beds are hard as rocks so bring one or two of the foam bed liners. The ones that look like egg cartons.

If you have to pay for laundry...sorry. If you're lucky like I am, and it's free, then laundry is horrible in the dorms. You literally have to babysit your washer/dryer so no ones stops your wash and takes your wet clothing out to put theirs in. Oh and as soon as you see an open dyer, turn it on and run it and put your basket or laundry soap on top so people know you're using it. That way when you are ready for it, you have one and you're not waiting around with wet clothes. Maybe this isn't true for all colleges, but well...its UB.

Manage your time wisely. That's the tip I give all freshman. Don't leave assignments till 10pm the night before because chances are it won't get the grade.

Libraries are awesome pleaces to study. I get distracted in my room, (ie: coming to this website when I should be working on my studio work...) so libraries are great for writing papers and studying. Some are open 24 hours a day.

That's all I can think of for now. Congrats on graduation and being accepted!:thumbsup2

Thank you so much! The thing about the bed and laundry are actually things I've never heard before!

And thanks for the congrats! I was so excited to get accepted. I must sound like a 5 year old at Christmas about this lol. Most of the people I go to school with are upset about 4 more years of schooling lol.
