"I'm Doing That Again... and AGAIN!" - A May/June 2013 TR

I think I've heard more about the Tangled bathrooms than any other bathroom in the entire world... and I can't wait to see them myself! :rotfl: I'm POSITIVE they'll live up to my imagination/pictures I've seen!

Ugh, sorry the Little Mermaid ride was a bust that day... I'm sure you were able to make up for it though! At least I hope so!!!

loving your trip report! I totally agree with this " Its hard to believe that its actually happening and it takes a long time to process that youre REALLY there."

I did the same thing when Carsland opened. I avoided all pictures and videos. Sure, I wasn't able to point out all the special little things that go unnoticed to my son and nephew, but I really enjoyed seeing it live for the very 1st time. It was weird not knowing everything about it though lol

Uhh, that's a really beautiful bathroom! :lmao:

What a bummer about Little Mermaid and the resulting crowd issues. A dole whip will fix anything though! And I have a soft spot for Tiki Room, it's nice to go and relax, it's dark and cold in there :)

The Little Mermaid was down when you first went to ride it???? Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!! I think I would have cried. Actually I think I teared up anyway just being in New Fantasyland. It's just so... perfect. My favorite Disney movies come to life (now if we can just get Herc some more love somewhere...). OMG the Tangled bathrooms!!!! I can't wait to see them in person. I'm so weak, I can't help but look at anything new lol But those bathrooms.... I don't think I've ever been so excited to go visit a restroom :rotfl2:

I can't wait to see the tangled bathrooms!! I'm gonna feel silly taking pictures of a bathroom but I have a feeling I won't be the only one!
We LOVE that movie too! My mom and I took our oldest daughter when it came out. She was glued the entire time. Then, when Eugene rides off on Maximus to save Rapunzel, she jumped out of her set and yelled "run, horsie!" at the top of her lungs. Sort of embarrassing but you can do that when you're three. I knew right then we'd be buying that DVD! even our youngest watched it over and over when I was sick one weekend. It's awesome! :thumbsup2

Awww the Little Mermaid ride is the one ride I want to ride the most when we go ! Wow that crowd look crazy :crazy2:

Loving your updates! I took a ton of pictures of the Tangled Bathrooms but never made it in there since when we went there was a line going out of there and it was more important for Olivia to go with my mom than for me to go. I didn't have to go anyways! LOL! And I know what you mean about the crowds never leaving!!!

I'm working at church camp this week, so I have very little DIS time. It was nice to have a quick visit to Magic Kingdom this morning through your pictures. I thought of Bella, as Dream Along with Mickey is something she loves! The 'castle show' is usually her first youtube request when we sit down to get a little Disney fix.

The Tangled area is amazing, for sure. Who else puts that much effort into making restrooms???

Yay! Logged on this morning to find updates on three trip reports :cool1:

Can't wait to see those Tangled bathrooms - and I completely agree, Tangled just brought back the "old" days of Disney movies - up to the standards of Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast :thumbsup2
But I think my ultimate favorite ever is Tarzan - don't hear many people talking about that one, but I just love it. Best soundtrack ever! I wish they'd do something in the parks for it, but I guess it's time is past now :sad1:

I love the Rapunzel b-room area as well. It's just so gorgeous! Tangled is one of my all time favorite Disney movies as well :) Awww that is such a bummer that the Little Mermaid ride was down on your first day after waiting all that time.
OK I want a Dole Whip Now!

So, I skipped the Tangled pictures, because I want to see it in person. But I agree with you 100% on how amazing that movie is. I remember going to see it in the theater, not putting too much stock in it, because I hadn't been impressed with the Disney movies from about 2000. But afterwards, I felt like Disney had FINALLY caught that magic touch that emcompassed the classic films. That something that made it more than just an animated film. Tangled is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies now, as well. Sorry for the tangent, I just love it when others agree with me on that note.

Hidden Pascals?!?! How did I not know this? That's awesome!

How disappointing that you couldn't ride Mermaid! I know it was only the first day of your trip and you still had time, but still doesn't change the fact that you thought you'd finally be seeing it and then couldn't. :sad2:

I cannot wait to see the Tangled area in October! I missed the opening by a few days when I was there at the beginning of March. I could only see a little bit over the construction wall. Thanks for the pictures inside the restroom. That is the first time I've seen any of those.

Bummer for Little Mermaid being down! I hope that doesn't become a trend. In March it was down for the morning when I was there. Since it didn't open till 1 pm, the line was 2 hours long. Luckily I thought to grab a FP in the morning so I was able to ride much quicker.

Great report! I can't believe I'm excited to see a bathroom on my trip in October. Lol. Only in Disney!

I bookmarked your TR and just came across the link today on my second day of summer vacation at home, woohoo! That means I can catch up! YAY! I knew I had to save your TR for when I had time to truly enjoy it because I'm always cracking up at your tweets and videos!

I don't know how you dealt with the airplane alone! I'm a nervous flyer too, and I think if I had to go somewhere alone, I'd be hiding in the bathroom and miss my flight. On purpose. Haha.

Oh wow! I love that you were able to see the WDW entrance sign! It amazes me when I realize where everything is located. For example, only in the more recent years did we realize that my parents' timeshare is literally on the other side of the Animal Kingdom. I mean, of course there's a good amount of distance, but on Google Maps, we were like, "Wait, we're THAT close?!?" Love it!

I love that EVERYONE (haha or at least many of our mutual DIS friends) had to warn you about New Fantasyland updates! Haha. And I can't believe that you finally got to see it for yourself! It seemed as if it was such a huge momentous occasion!!!

OMG, so anti-climactic for you not to be able to ride Little Mermaid that day!!! I totally agree with you about that dead end thing though. We walked down there in December and were like, uhh, now what? We saw that it was finally open this past week, and like you said, it really makes all the difference!

I am glad you posted pics of tangled bathroom area! I didn't get to stop there in April :( It is so cute!!!!!!

Boo to mermaids being down :( but it looks like the dole whip kind of made up for it! :)

How disappointing that Mermaid was down! Sounds like you had a great attitude about it though.

Those bathrooms look amazing. I'm with you-I fully intend to do my business there when ever possible. :rotfl:

I am really loving reading all of you NFL updates. I imagine that even though I haven't shielded myself from photos of it, I'll be very much the same way when I finally see it all. I'm so freaking excited! :yay:

Love the pictures of the Tangled restrooms. Disney does such an amazing job with their details on structures! Also good to know that New FantasyLand and Storybook Circus are not connected. I assumed that they were and I would have totally got lost.:confused3

I can't wait to get a Dole Whip! (It will be mine soon!!) They are so dreamy delicious, aren't they?!

I think the Tangled bathrooms just look awesome! Can't wait to see them in person!! What a bummer that Little Mermaid was broken down :( However, I am so very happy that you had your first Dole Whip!! Aren't they wonderful?!?! I think they are the perfect Disney treat for a hot day. They are cool and refreshing, but not heavy! Ick, those Memorial Day crowds look awful! Both my trips have been over Memorial Day and I don't remember those types of crowds. Can't wait for your next update!!!!

Love your updates! :) I too am a Tangled obsessed fool. I have watched it countless times and still get so engrossed in the story line! I love love love it! We just got back early Monday morning from our trip and it was awesome! I made sure we went and visited the tangled bathroom area and I loved it. And what I especially loved was the music!! My absolute favorite song in the movie is the Kingdom Dance score and it just so happened to playing the very first time I walked through the area. It was magical :cloud9: I also love the vanilla/pineapple swirl dole whip. I enjoy pineapple but don't love it so the vanilla really helps out! I am so excited to see how the rest of your trip went!

So, I've been ridiculously busy over here for the past like... week or so, mainly because my Mom and sister came out to visit me, plus it was BOTH my sister's and Matt's birthdays on Sunday... And I haven't had any time to come on the DISboards. BUT I wanted to make sure that the first thing I did when I got back on here was... CATCH UP ON YOUR TR! So here I am, catching up at this very moment... and I'm happy I have some time to do it!

ANYWAY, I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU... referring to you finally seeing FLE!! I totally understand the crying thing, I mean, that whole area is pretty amazing. BUT I AM SO JEALOUS YOU GOT TO SEE THE TANGLED BATHROOMS.

That being said, I'm avoiding the photos! It sounds silly, but that IS an area I want to save for our trip! I've seen a few photos here and there, but I haven't seen ALL of the details. Tangled is tied for my favorite Disney movie (with Wreck-It Ralph), soooo yeah. Skipping it, but I'm sure they're amazing!!

BOOOOO to LM being down! That happened to us and it was so disappointing! Plus, that pathway to Storybook Circus not being open/not knowing about it? FAIL, hahaha. Happened to us and I was so annoyed because I just wanted to go on LM!

I had no idea for the longest time that you could get a swirl, hahaha. So I've always just gotten straight Dole Whip! It's really good, but I want to try it with the vanilla next time because it sounds AMAZING.

I still need to see the Tiki Room... and I have a feeling we will probably end up doing it next trip when it's really hot and we need a break! Same with the Laugh Floor (which I've been dying to do forever, and now that I've seen Monsters University, I want to do it even more!)..
