"I'm Doing That Again... and AGAIN!" - A May/June 2013 TR

Aw, YAY!:cheer2: I'm so glad you were able to avoid pictures of the New Fantasyland and see it for yourself!! I remember a week or so ago, I was catching up on Once Upon a Time on my DVR, and they had this blurb during a commercial with the Evil Queen at the New Fantasyland, and I really did think of you and how I hoped it hadn't spoiled it for you!

I completely understand what you mean about seeing it for the first time and tearing up. I describe the new area as, "I didn't know Magic Kingdom was missing anything until I saw all that."
It definitely completes the park. And Ariel was my favorite princess, as well. And, no joke, I remember asking my mom if I could marry Eric when I grew up. :rotfl2: So, I'm right there with you on how amazing that section of the New Fantasyland is. I would've DIED if I'd seen that as a kid. :goodvibes

I have not seen the Tangled bathrooms yet, not even photos of it..so maybe I'll skip the pictures. A bathroom's a step in the right direction towards not spoiling myself...right?:lmao:

Yay for all the updates! I feel like I got behind in reading them but then I got caught up quickly tonight! I absolutely loved The Little Mermaid ride!! Was one of my favorite rides!

OMG I totally had a crush on Eric, too when I was little!! He's pretty awesome. I've been on the Ariel ride in CA Adv (like 50 times haha b/c I love it so much) but it's contained within a regular building, not... Prince Eric's castle!! I can't wait to see it in person!

Hello! :cheer2: Just wanted to say that I'm following along. I followed your last TR but kept falling behind so I didn't post so much. But I enjoy your reports so much! You are absolutely adorable in your excitement :)

I'm glad your avoidance of the FLE pictures paid off. The details and themeing are amazing! Beauty & the Beast and Little Mermaid were a huge part of my childhood too. I remember going to see B&TB when I was 7. It was PERFECT! It's still my favorite movie 22 years later.

Can't wait for more!

I'm now subscribed!!! You do a great job writing!!! I love your "voice" and the way you tell your stories, thank you so much for sharing! I can't wait to read more!!!!!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

I'm so happy for you that it was worth the wait to see NFL with your own eyes for the first time. Along with a little tear but that is just a natural reaction!! :thumbsup2 I love that the lady on the bus could read you so well and knew exactly what you were feeling! Precious.

I was like you the first time we ventured into NFL since I didn't grab a map or anything. I was so excited to see it that we just rushed in and I totally missed Be Our Guest the first pass.

Ok, I must have missed it last time but what's the deal with the Tangled bathrooms? :confused3 Will I never want to pee anywhere else in MK? :lmao:

That's funny that the people were trying to figure out what Epcot stood for! Thank you for helping them!! Especially when they were so far off. ;)

I think I saw Cinderella, aurora, and Snow White are meeting in fairy tale hall. Maybe rapunzel will be separate. Who knows. In Disneyland all the princesses switch off and you don't know who will be there when you get there!

Joining in! Better late than never due to extended absence from the DIS boards!

I love POP. Such a fun resort.
Nice you saw the arch from there.
I could never wait to see the new projects especially with Avatarland and possibly Star Wars coming , I am totally geeking out.
Glad you saw NFL. I think I was there the first day they had dress rehearsal in October. It was really nice but smaller than I expected. Once the coaster is open and no more walls I am sure it will feel bigger.
Great updates and pics.

HOORAY for your new trip report!! :cool1::cool1: I'm finally back from my trip and can catch up on yours! :thumbsup2 It must have been such a thrill to see New Fantasyland for literally the very first time. :yay: Love that pic of the smiling squirrels on the gates - they're so adorable. And I think that's the exact same Gaston we met last week - he was absolutely HILARIOUS!!

Can't wait for more! :goodvibes

OK, I'm jumping in now! How awesome you finally got to see New FL! :goodvibes So far so good going solo, nice work.

Little Mermaid was always my fave growing up, and I liked the ride when I was at DCA, but THIS is SO MUCH better, and I can't wait to see it in person.

After reading countless TR threads of people warning Marissa not to look because they were posting New FL pics, I just had to check this Marissa person out! :rotfl: And lucky for me, I saw you had a brand new TR up with you finally getting to see New FL! I did the same thing for Cars Land when my DH and I were going on our anniversary trip to DL/DCA last year. I avoided all of the pictures and press releases, and it was easy to avoid on the boards since there is a whole section for DL that I could just stay away from! I did get spoiled in the slightest right before the trip when DS was watching something on Disney Channel and they did a Disney 3-6-5 segment on Cars Land, but I closed my eyes quickly! :lmao: You're SO right, there is something so magical about knowing something is there and brand new but experiencing it totally for the first time in person instead of seeing pictures and videos beforehand! I didn't do the same with New FL, but it was a great feeling at Cars Land walking down the road and feeling like I had been transported to Radiator Springs.

Anyway, really enjoying the TR so far!!

"Duh"... There I said it with you as requested! :thumbsup2

I totally agree with your statement "Not every single corner of Walt Disney World needs to be jam-packed with entertainment." So well said. I can't tell you how many times I've been in MK and done nothing but walk around and "feel" it. I've said it before and I'll say it again and again... If all you want are rides, etc... Go to Six Flags.

OMG, all that and you didn't get on LM??? Oh no!! What a wonderful attitude you had about it though. :goodvibes

Yay Dole Whip!!

I think I can actually feel your excitement oozing through the screen. I love it.

I had no idea where the Tangled bathrooms were either! It was actually so funny, we were in the middle of a huge fiasco, & I turned around to sigh & BOOM! RIGHT FREAKING THERE. I about died! :faint:

I have a few Disney movies that are my favorite of ALL time & apparently we have some in common, but I could've guessed that! hahah :) When Tangled first came out, I could not stop going to see it, like, OMG. I couldn't even imagine how perfect that movie was going to be. Unfortunately, I'm ashamed to say this I didn't want to see Princess & the Frog when it came out... I know.. please tell me we can be friends still. I was just in that feeling of, WHAT!? THE DISNEY PRINCESSES ARE ALREADY PERFECT. NO MORE. I'm happy to say though, I have completely changed my mind! I absolutely love that movie now, super duper cute!
I absolutely love Tangled much like you, but in comparison, I feel like I feel about Brave as you do about Tangled. I could go on for days about Merida, but I won't because I trust that you understand my heart feels. :lovestruc

If you are ever not excited to see something at Disney, I'll personally put you in a mental hospital for a few days, til you feel better.

I HAVE NO WORDS FOR THE TANGLED BATHROOMS.
Well, I do, but that will be one whole update on my TR, so I won't get completely out of control on a comment, :rotfl:
P E R F E C T.

OH NO! SHUT DOWN! AHHHHHH! THE HORROR! :furious:
I would've just fell to pieces, but at least it was on your first day & not like your last, so you'll have chances to ride it again! HAPPY THOUGHTS!

I feel like the crowd situation can only be commented like this - :crowded:
I did not see that temporary wall, so it was probably gone when I made my way over to NF. THANK GOD.

OH I LOVE THAT SHOW.
Gosh Minnie, you've always been a princess to me!
I JUST CAN'T HANDLE IT! SO PERFECT. :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

I've never had a dole whip..... I know. blasphemy.
But I hate fruity things, I don't know why, just HATE.
Eventually I will try one, but I just haven't gotten there yet :(

TIKI TIKI TIKI TIKI TIKI! :cool1:

Love the update! Can't wait for more, as always!

The Tangled bathrooms are so amazing. I sort of wish I would've given my dad my camera to get a picture inside the men's bathroom. hahaha I knew there were hidden Pascals but couldn't find any of them! If I go in August I'm definitely going to try to find them.

Well since you skipped my first visit to the Little Mermaid it was broken down for me too! UGH! That does sound like a mess.

Yay for finally trying a dole whip!
