Someone please explain. I read a disney planning book I think it is called Disney world with kids 2004 (not a hundred percent sure) and when they talked about the parks they talked about 3 blizzard beach, typhoon lagoon, and river country but on disneys official site they only talk about the first 2 and on this site when talking about parks I have not heard mention of the third. It (River country) was not even on the map of all the resorts and parks that disney sent me. Does this third park exist or am I just crazy. If it does exist how do you like it. :confused3

River country has been closed down for quite a while. I do not believe there are any plans to reopen it.

River Country is closed and has been for several years. It is doubtful it will ever reopen.

River Country is right next to Fort Wilderness, and accross from CR. It closed shortly after 9/11. I'm so bummed we didn't go there during our August trip, about 2 weeks before 9/11.....

Yes River Country has been closed for a long time. When going back to BC villas on the boat, we got a glimpse of it and the water was brown and flooded. Doubt it will be open soon.

If you are talking about the books by Kim Wright Wiley I'm not surprised it has misinformation in it.
I know the 2001 edition seemed to be written in 1998 or 1999. they certainly are not up to date, and in some cases just have plain out false information in them.
