I'm Confused

I am relatively new to Southwest's rapid rewards program.

I signed up for RR accounts for me, my husband and my 2 kids. Say we each accumulate enough points for 1 free flight. Does that mean I have to book 4 separate reservations?

Or, can I reserve all four together, and when it gets to the payment screen just type in our 4 separate account numbers?

It seems that if I need to go through the reservation process 4 separate times, it would really slow me down if I'm trying to grab the lowest priced flights when they are initially released.

To get the lowest point flights, you do need to book on line. To use points you need to log into your account. So yes, you would have to book each ticket separately.

The great thing about SW is that there are no change fees. So when you book with points, it is easy and free to change flights.

I have never seen a low point flight, just disappear. It is usually up for at least a day.

In fact, when I book with points, I always check back to see if I can get a better flight or one for less points. Sundays and Tuesdays are good days to check.

Bottom line, it may take some time, but you should get what you want.
