I'm building my own vehicles....

Just out of curiosity, as we occasionally talk about what kind of vehicle I'd like to get next, I have been going onto two sites now of the vehicles that I'm interested in and building my own vehicle. This is kinda fun!!!!

Has anyone else ever done this and have you made your choice on what you are getting by doing this?????

I had heard you could do this, but have never fooled around on the sites. SOunds fun...I can see myself getting an extremely loaded car though.... ultra luxury.

I "built" a truck on the Ford site. Ford gives you the sticker AND invoice price. Then it let me search dealers inventories for trucks like it, or close to it. I found one at a dealer about 15 miles away. I sent the dealer an e-mail, they responded in less than 1 hour. I then called the salesman and he offered me a price less than invoice. Two days later I took my truck down to dicker on the trade. I had a price in my head that I had researched and they offered me $50 more! Bought the truck 3 weeks ago.
