I'm bringing my diploma straight to the The Mouse! A June PTR-6/18 TR Link!!

Hi Everyone!

Even though I haven't had much time lately to work on trip plans, I thought I would write an update to bring you up to speed on what's been going with us. :thumbsup2

Life has been a little crazy! I graduate May 9th (wahoo!) :woohoo:But in the mean time I have 6 final projects to take care of, including my master's thesis Ahhh! :eek:I also am working as a graduate assistant on a research grant at UConn, where I go to school, and we are in the annual report/intense research phase so that is taking up TONS of my time. I'm planning a family literacy night at the school where I teach that is coming up this week, plus it's just nearing the end of the school year, so things are nuts there too. DF has been working 12 hour days at his company, is leaving for his 3rd (long) business trip in 2 months next weekend, and he just took his GMAT test and is working on applying to Grad school.

Phew! So that's what we're up to and kinda explains why I haven't been able to make it to the boards much :sad2:But in three weeks I will be done with my Master's and back on here all the time since I am truly addicted

Meanwhile, wedding plans have been put on hold until after graduation. However, I have had some time to start mentally make lists of things I need to do and buy before our trip!

To Do's:

1. I need advice...what is the best way to send a room request? When should I do it? I want a king size bed and a room that is not on the first floor, in the Mighty Ducks section of ASMo (for my hockey loving DF) . I heard two weeks before the trip is best so they don't lose the request.

2. Pre-order the photopass CD. We got this in January and loved the pictures, since it will just be the two of us, I don't want to have all pictures of one or the other of us or ask strangers constantly for pictures.

Shopping List (I am a shopaholic so I'm very excited to get started!):
1. More shorts and tank tops (I don't have many and want to be ready for that hot weather.
2. Granola and cereal bars (So we can have breakfast in the room some mornings)
3. Gum (for the plan especially)
4. Ponchos (want to be prepared for any potential rain and I don't want to have to buy these in the park)
5. Cute, comfy flip flops ( I lived in these last trip since sneakers didn't work out, and I want new, practical ones that are still cute :cutie:)
6. Moleskin (I forgot this last trip and regretted it when I had ugly blisters)
7. New books for DF and I (We like to get new ones before we live to read at the airport and on the plane)

That's all for now. I'm sure I will keep adding to this list as time goes on and I think of more stuff we have to have. :)

Thanks for reading and
HAPPY EASTER!!!

What does your DF do? I want to travel!

Also, I just preordered the Photopass CD today!!!! How far in advance can you do that?

Third, make me a shopping list please... I'm supposed to be buying wedding makeup and nail polish, a mother's day card, getting a manicure so they clean up my cuticles before t he big day, start tanning today so i don't FRY in Key West, and working out so I FIT in my wedding dress. Instead I'm sitting here on the boards eating Thai food from a delish new place thatjust opened up. Love days off.

I got some new hardcover books but hardcovers seem slike they'd take up too much valuable packing space! How in the heck can you walk around the world in flip flops? i get blisters!

We just got our ME passes for May 17 and the 31st!!! It may be because they had put an error in our mailing address, so I'd call jus tto be sure, but the only reason you REALLY need them is if you want your luggage to go straight from the airport you depart from to your Resort!

Haha your first two days sound jampacked adn I don't think you'll make 50s PTC. However, it's funny how planned and jammed your trip is. Since we know we'll be back twice this year and every year for the rest of our lives (at least until we're 75) it's a lot easier to just kinda roll with the punches. Besides it's our honeymoon and after all the wedding planning, I refuse to plan to the minute my honeymoon. Haha i'm sure you'll have a blast, it sounds exhausting and wonderful.

I hate shopping for souveneirs, I guess we're not twins (although DF LOVES eeyore too)

Your plans look good.

The only time I am willing to get up early without complaint is on vacation. Is that weird? I'm backwards. :lmao:

When we booked online, I know we didn't get our documents until really close to the trip. (I want to say like less than month out.) I was nervous about it also!

I'm still here! Just been reading...your plans look great :goodvibes. when we went last year we didn't get any ME tags at all....but they did have our ressies when I called. They told us that we could put distinguishing things on our luggage and leave a description for the ME people to pick them up or just collect our bags ourselves...we collected the bags ourselves and just checked in with ME as usual but with our luggage....no worries!:)

The tags came! That is a relief, we are all set! And our flight out was bumped up half an hour so we'll be getting there at 9:30 am, so that gives us a little extra time to make it to lunch. Either way, no biggie!

I don't blame you guys for wanting a low key honeymoon! You have been so busy that you need to relax! I love being busy so I pack lots of stuff in, but I know next summer will be different since we will be honeymooners then too! 5 more days you must be so busy and excited! I'm so happy for you!

DF is a marketing associate with a local company. He got very lucky because he travels a lot. Next year I will finally be able to go with him sometimes becuase I'll be done with school!

I hate socks and sneakers so flip flops work for me! i just make sure to break them in for awhile so they are nice and cushy for all that walking! I agree that hardcover books would be hard to pack. What kinds of books do you like? I am a huge chick lit fan haha.

I am the same way! I am so not a morning person but I pop out of bed early and all excited. My tags came so at least we can get on ME!! I get nervous easy since i am so OCD when it comes to planning

Thank you so much everyone for all of your kind words! Before I pick up where I left off, I thought I would post an off topic update of everything else we have been up to lately!!

First, there was our fun trip to the casino to see Dane Cook. We ate at Margaritaville and got some mediocre balloon hats from a stilt walker. We still had fun with them though!

Kyle's...fish? :confused3

My flower, which brought on some serious static cling!

Then we played a few slots and headed to the show. We took a couple of pics to pass the time while we waited:

The show was awesome. However, it was very dark so you can't see Dane very well in the pictures. But here's one just for you tinkgurl!! ;)

Now let's fast forward to last week! I celebrated being done with class by going to see the Red Sox play :woohoo:

Game 1, Wednesday night, when we had GREEN MONSTER SEATS (Please note that my shirt says Green Monstah!! Haha I was so proud of myself for matching and wearing such a clever shirt!)

Blurry, but here come the boys!!

We lost, but it was still amazing to have those seats. Kyle was beyond happy, Red Sox are to him what Disney is to me. After the game, we stopped in at Cask N Flagon, the bar across the street for a drink and to watch the end of the Bruins game (we are all around Boston fans!)

Then on Thursday it was on to Game 2! This time we got a table on the Budweiser deck because it was my dad's 50th bday! Woo hoo! :yay:

Dad caught one! What a nice bday gift :)

Sitting up in the Budweiser deck was very cool, you get a table for 4 and $100 of food included with your tickets. A waiter serves you and everything.
Me and Kyle at the table:

Dad's fav player, with his bday on the sign so I had to get this pic for him:

That game was even more fun because we scored 12 runs in one inning so it was a very exciting win!! I miss Boston already and want to go back ASAP!

Finally, that brings us to Saturday-GRADUATION!!

Hope you enjoyed this update on my life :rotfl:, well the fun parts anyways! I'll be back very soon with more trip info so stay tuned!! :goodvibes

What awesome pictures! You guys had some great seats both games. And how cool that you were there for the 12 run inning! :cool1: I love Dustin Pedroia!

Thanks so much! He is hilarious AND HOT! Speaking of him, I just watched one of his shows on tv last night!

Looks like the games were fun! I remember seeing something on the Travel Channel or something about those tables you sat at!
