Hello everyone! I'm very sorry that i have kind of let this PTR fall by the way side. I didn't finish writing up the detailed plans for the rest of our days. I have a good excuse though...I got a new teaching job! My position last year was an interim one while I finished grad school, so I have been busy applying and interviewing and I just got hired at a K-5 school teaching special ed I am very excited and it's something more to celebrate in Disney!! So that's why I have been MIA. However, I promise as soon as we are home I will launch right into my TR and I promise to make it a good one. I hope you will all stay tuned!

I'm sorry to have neglected the boards and my friends here but the interview process was SO nervewracking for me and it kind of consumed my life the last two weeks More importantly, it took away from being able to get psyched for Disney...time flew and now I'm leaving tomorrow, I can't believe it!

Hi again!! I have the day off and everything is ready for tomorrow (for the most part!) so I thought i would post on my poor neglected PTR again before we leave.

This morning I checked into the airline online and printed up our boarding passes, and I also checked in at ASMo. First time doing the online check-in at the hotel so we'll see how it goes! My room requests were on there when I pulled up my ressie so that is a good sign Really all I care about is that we get a room with a king bed.

Packing is all set, ME tags are on my luggage. Now I'm just waiting to go pick up DF at work around 5. We're going out to dinner and picking up some last minute things at the store-ponchos, books for the flight, some gum, etc. Then it's back to my house for an early bedtime because we have to be up at 4:15 to get to the airport. DF is not looking forward to the early start time, but i could care less because it's the one time i like waking up early

My only concern as of right now is my back. I was having a lot of lower back pain in March and April, but I started going to the gym regularly and stretching it and it got a lot better. But within the last two weeks it has been out again, very sore and I'm worried that I'm gonna be in pain all week at Disney. My doctor gave me a muscle relaxer (luckily I feel no side effects from them) and extra strength motrin. My mom is a nurse and she thinks that is all stress related from the interviewing and job stuff. It's been a tense couple of weeks and apparently that can create back pain. Hopefully once I'm in Disney the stress will be all gone and the pain will go away. Everyone say a little prayer for me please that it magically goes away by tomorrow!

On a happier note, I made a very rough itinerary for the last few days of our trip. Its mostly just what parks we're doing and where we are eating. Here it is:

Day 4-Tuesday, June 9th: DHS (opens 9am)
Starring Rolls Breakfast
Sci Fi Lunch
Pizza Planet Dinner
Back to MK (open until Midnight)

Day 5-Wed., June 10th: Animal Kingdom (opens 8am for EMH)
Breakfast at the Hotel
Yak and Yeti Lunch
Jiko dinner at 5:45
DHS EMH, 9pm-12am

Day 6-Thurs., June 11th: Epcot
Poly for Breakfast
Mexico Lunch
Le Cellier Dinner at 5:30
Illuminations 9pm
Epcot EMH (open until midnight)

Day 7-Friday, June 12th: MK (opens 9am)
Main Street Bakery Breakfast
Columbia Harbor House lunch
Tony’s Dinner at 6:20
Spectro Magic: 9pm
10pm-1am EMH

Day 8-Sat., June 13th
Pack up the room
DTD for lunch at Earl of Sandwich
Shopping
Back to hotel, fly out at 5:30pm

Now that i at least posted the plans for the rest of the trip, so I feel like this PTR is complete

Will we get it all done? How will my back hold up? How will me and DF's first trip just the two of us go? Stay tuned to find it all out in my TR!! I will say a big hello to Mickey from all my Dis friends...thanks for reading along everyone

Hey Lauren! Your Epcot plans look great.

I think it's a great idea to know ahead of time what souvenirs you want. I find that if I just go without a plan, I don't end up really buying anything because I'm so overwhelmed by all that there is available. This time I had a few items that I really wanted to pick up and it was much easier to shop.

Congrats on the job! That's awesome news.

And I hope your back starts to feel better.

Thanks Carissa! The trip definitely flew up on me and now I feel like I blinked and it's over. I have to get caught up on your TR and start my own too! The back felt great after a couple days. I start the new job Aug. 24th and I can't wait!

Even with the list of souvenirs, we picked up a couple extras, it's hard not to in Disney when you are constantly passing a gift shop

Hi all!! Sorry for the delay, it has been a busy week back to work. I also got to visit my new school and see my classroom! Plus it was my current kindergarteners graduation today. So it has been crazy! But now the TR is started. Check it out!! It's just the first travel day installment, no pics so its not very exciting but I took over 500 during the course of the trip so it will get better later on. I just wanted to get something up and get the ball rolling. Enjoy!
