I'm bringing my diploma straight to the The Mouse! A June PTR-6/18 TR Link!!

I love the cupcake tower! I love cupcakes, so that's right up my alley!

Congrats on being paid off and on almost graduating!

What kind of flip flops do you like?

Thanks for all the kind words!

We are very excited to go for our cake tasting this summer :goodvibes So far our ideas for flavors are chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting (I'm a pb lover!), lemon cake with chocolate frosting (for DF), and red velvet with cream cheese frosting. MMM I want one now!!

I'm so exited to be almost done ,you must be too! When does school let out for you for the summer?

I like Old Navy's flip flops, and Hollister makes good ones too so I might check there. I always have like ten pairs so I can figure out which ones are comfiest before the trip :goodvibes

How are Hawaii plans coming???!!

Hello again Disers!! I am fortunate enough to have a three day weekend so I thought I would stop by and write an update!

DF and I have been busy shopping for clothes for the trip. I found a few new cute shorts and shirts for our trip. My American Eagle gift card it getting put to good use! I got a couple of tank tops last weekend:

And I found shorts! As I've said before, that is a difficult task for me having long legs and hating short-shorts! They are super comfy. Here's what I got:

Then it was off to Old Navy where I got a few more things:

I also got this really cute pink watercolor tee but I can't find a picture of it on their site. Oh well, I'm sure you'll see it in pics from my TR!! So my quest for shorts is complete, and now i just need some more shirts. I love shopping so piece of cake

I don't know if any of you follow Diser Carissa's (carrisanboys) TR. If you don't you should! Anyways, before her trip that she just took, she asked if anyone here on the boards would like her to send them a postcard while she was down in Disney. I LOVED this idea, so I asked her to send me one. It came a few weeks ago, and that little bit of Disney Magic totally made my day.:cloud9: It is currently hanging on my fridge and I look at it everyday and get super excited for our trip!

Well, I am stealing her idea (thanks Carissa!), and I wanted to make the same offer to all of you. If you want me to send you a postcard while we are there in June, I would love to do it and spread the pixie dust, so just PM me your address and I will send one! If you have little ones at home, I could address it to them, I'm sure your kids might like a little note from Mickey :)

Ok, that's all for now. I'm hoping to have another update up here soon with more trip details. I want to build an actual itinerary that combines our park plans and ADRs so when I get it together I will post it.

Hope you are all doing well! :cutie:

You got some REALLY cute shorts!:cutie: I'm going to have to make a trip out this week, I think!!! I love the length of them, very cute! And I love the brownish tank, too!! You made out great!

Love the post card idea and that you're spreading the magic!! I had someone do that for my little ones for our last trip and the boys were SO excited when they got mail from Mickey and friends!! I may have to consider having you do that for my Mom & sis for our September trip....hmm.....

Hope you're enjoying your long weekend!!!!!:goodvibes

Thanks for the shout out Lauren! :goodvibes It was a lot of fun sending the postcards. :thumbsup2

I love the shorts you got! I really need to look into finding some for myself this summer. I have short legs and don't like them so that's my main issue. :sad2:

Cute clothes!

I think I have those same shorts from Old Navy!!!

Thanks!! Apparently we both have great taste ;)

Thanks Kristen! I actually managed to not break the bank between sales, coupons and gift cards I'd been saving too! I try to be a saavy shopper or I get buyers remorse

I can totally send your mom and sis a post card, just let me know! It is such a cute idea so I thought I'd extend the offer, you're never to old to get some fun mail!

You're welcome Carissa, thanks for letting me steal your great idea :thumbsup2

I hate shorts shopping with a passion. That's why I started so early! Thank god it is over with. Poor DF has sat outside many a dressing room while I wrestled inside with shorts :rotfl:

Hi again! I am taking a much needed paper writing break to start my itinerary! This upcoming trip is keeping me sane these days and since I'm on page 32 of my third term paper I've written this week I thought I'd stop and take a a Disney break for my sanity

So here is the plan for day one, our first travel day:
Saturday, June 6th

-Wake up at 4am :scared1: We need to the airport for 5am, luckily we live 10 minutes away from the only airport in CT

-Flight leaves at 7am, we should land in Orlando around 10am

-Head to Magical Express which I have never taken before but DF has (there's a role reversal for us!)

-Check in at ASMovies

-Hop on the bus to DHS!!

-Here is my only worry about this day: We have a 1:05 lunch ADR at Prime Time. Think that three hours is enough from the time we touch down at the airport until the time we need to make it for lunch? I think we're cutting it close, but this is an extra ADR that we are paying for OOP, so I don't have my heart set on it. If we make it, great, but if not, we head to Pizza Planet :)

Here's what I want to do with the rest of the day, in no particular order:
-Head to the Animation Studio to finally do the drawing lesson!
-meet the characters in their Star Wars outfits since it is SWW when we are there, DF really wants to get a pic with Donald as a Stormtrooper
-Maybe ride Star Tours while we're over there
-Ride ToT if the line is not ridiculous/there are still FPs available
-See One Man's Dream, we usually save it for the end of the trip. (Confession: I am a sap and cry over everything, so if we get this done early on maybe I won't be as nostalgic and sad :rotfl:)
-Go shopping! DHS has my favorite stores and I am a shopaholic
-Backlot Tour, since it was down for refurb last time

-For dinner, we have two plans and we'll play it by ear:
A. Studio Catering Co. since we haven't tried it
B. If the crowds are nuts in the park, we might walk over to Beaches and Cream since we both really want to try that too

-If we eat at DHS, we'll stay in that park til closing at 8pm. If we do Beaches and Cream, we'll stroll over to Epcot after dinner (DF's favorite!)and do some WS until they close at 9.

-Head back to the hotel. If we have any energy left we'll swim, if not, we'll head right to bed because we have ADRs for breakfast the next day

I think that's all I really want to get done the first day. DF is out of town for business so I have to check with him to see if he wants to try and fit anything else in. Not sure how crowds will be but we are flexible!

Other News:
I just found out that one of my friends who is graduating with me is also going to be in Disney during part of our week, and she and her BF are staying at ASMovies too! We are planning to meet up for at least one day, June 11th is her birthday and we have ADRs in Epcot that night (us at Le Cellier, her at Chefs de France) so afterwards we plan on meeting in Mexico for some Margaritas and rides. I am so excited!! I'm sure we'll meet up other times too because our plans over lap other days and we're right at the same hotel, but that is our set "double date night" for now until we both finish making our plans!

Stay tuned, up next is Day 2, MK Itinerary!!
:wizard:

One other thing I forgot to ask you guys- We booked everything online, we've been paid up for awhile, but we haven't gotten any travel documents yet. No ME tags or anything, nothing but invoices for payments and some maps and stuff. Yesterday was the 45 day mark until our trip. Should I be worried that nothing has come yet? This is my first time being the sole trip planner so I'm not sure and I"m getting nervous!!

Thanks for your help :)

Just got caught up!

Your DHS day sounds good, and i think 3 hours is a reasonable time frame, but i've only done the ME thing once and we basically walked onto the ME from the airport, so not sure if that's anything to go by.

i booked our trip through a travel agent and she called about 2 weeks before our departure date to say she had our documents, but i'm not sure how long before that she actually received them, you know? So basically i can't helpfully answer either of your questions lol.

Hi Sare!! Your info is still helpful so thank you :goodvibes Good to know that you walked right on, we're going to be getting there earlier then I thought, our plane actually takes off at 6:50 (yikesss!!) and we'll be landing at 9:30 and we are fast walkers so maybe it won't be too crowded by that hour at ME!!

I called down to Disney last night and the documents office was closed so they couldn't tell me if my stuff had been printed yet or anything so I'm just gonna try and be patient  and I'll call back this week if they don't come in!

Hello again! I think I am losing some readers? Oh no I hope I'm not boring  Or maybe you are all outside enjoying this beautiful weather?!! It's going to get to 85 here today which is unheard of for CT in April

Anyways, I am once again skipping paper writing for a few to update! On to day two, MK!! Here's the plan:

-Wake up around 6:45. Me and DF get ready very fast, I'd like to be out of the room and to the MK bus stop by 7:30.

-Head to Crystal Palace for 8:55 breakfast ADR. I am SO excited for this one because it's tradition. We love the food and the characters (this was the only character meal per DF's request, he doesn't love them but is a sucker for Eeyore :lmao:) AND if you read my last TR, you know that DF proposed to me in front of the castle while we were waiting to head into CP this past January. So by the time we sat and ate I had too much excitement and energy to actually consume much and later regretted missing out o breakfast pizza and puffed french toast, so this is our redo!! :thumbsup2

-Anyways, back on topic!! Then it is off to ride Splash, our traditional first ride in MK. It's been down for refurb for part of our trips the last 2 times we went, so Im excited we don't have to miss it any days this year!

Then, it's off for more rides, in no Particular order:
-BTMRR
-Haunted Mansion
-Pirates
-Jungle Cruise
-Peter Pan (we'll def be needing some FPs for that one I'm sure)
-Philharmagic
-Snow White (missed it last year)
-Small World (sorry Kyle but YES we are doing it!) :rotfl:
-loop around the Rail Road

- I want to head back to Main Street to poke around and shop, we'll probably do this that afternoon because it is typically left until the very end of our trip and I feel rushed and sad that we are leaving so I'm reversing it this year!

-If it's super crowded here since it's June and the weekend still, we'll probably leave Main Street and head back to the room for a nap and a swim and maybe a shower around 2.

-Feeling (hopefully) refreshed we'll hop back on the bus to MK for evening EMHs which go from 9-midnight and ride our favorites again :goodvibes

-Dinner at Pecos Bill's at some point yumm!!!

Is toontown open during evening EMH? I gotta check that because I want to stop in at Mickey and Minnie's houses this trip!

-We are night people so if we do get that afternoon rest we just might make it until close. Then it's back to ASMo to crash!

Hope you all enjoy the weekend!! Kyle and I are heading to Mohegan Sun, one of the huge casino's here in CT, to see Dane Cook tonight. It's DF bday gift and we are soooo excited. And we get to try Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville while we are there :cool1:

Stay tuned, I'll have Day 3, Epcot plans up soon!! Adios!!

You are lucky! Going to see Dane Cook! Take some pics for me pppppppppppppplease?! :flower3:

Whoa, getting up at 6:45 on vacation?! You are a trooper! What time do the buses start running?

Aw yeah, I remember your proposal story! :lovestruc

Yeah, Peter Pan is definately a fast pass one!

When I've been there, Toontown has been open during evening EMH's.

I'm still reading your updates :goodvibes sometimes I forget to post. Your MK plans sound great! I haven't been to CP yet for breakfast but it looked good in your last TR. Maybe you will get to eat this time ;).

Hi Lauren,

I've been MIA, sorry about that, I've been reading but haven't had much time to post. You've got some great plans for your 1st couple of days! You've put a lot of work into this. That's great news your friend will be in Disney at the same time and you guys are going to have fun one night together in Epcot!! Your day at MK sounds perfect....I'm impressed you guys can get up at 6:45 and to MK by 7:30!! I guess that's what happens when you don't have kids....we're lucky if we're all dressed by that point!! LOL!!:rotfl: And of course you HAVE to do IASW, Kyle woudn't think differently, would he? lol....we always have to do that ride 1st on our trips!!:lovestruc

Hope you guys got to enjoy some of this fantastic weekend weather we're having....it was like 75 here in Plymouth!! I remembered to put sun screen on all the boys but didn't take the time to take care of me and got burnt, but it's all good.....maybe Summer is almost here?!!! Yay!!! Loving the sunshine!:cloud9:

Hope you guys had fun tonight!! Happy birthday Kyle!!!:yay:

I took a few pictures, I had to smuggle in my camera to get a few because it was no photography allowed  They're a little dark but I'll post them asap. He was hilarious it was SO fun!!

That's good to know that Toontown has been open during evening EMH. We don't usually go to that part of the park a lot so I wasn't sure.

Hi Nichole! No worries, you are always a loyal reader lol and I know you are super busy with dance and everything with the kids, so thanks stopping by to say hi!! :goodvibes I totally plan on eating this time :laughing I'll let you know how that works out in my TR!

Hi Kristen!! I totally understand, it's a busy time for everyone! I know you are one of my loyal readers and I wouldn't expect too many people to be on the boards a lot with this beautiful weather and I have been MIA myself for awhile lately!!

I hope your sunburn isn't too bad, but that is great you got to enjoy the sun!! I just hope it stays this way, you never know up here in New England, but i can't wait for summer!

We are both very quick about getting ready which I think will be a big plus this trip. I think going to college for the last 5 years and having to run off to class every morning has programmed me to get ready super quick. I know it will definitely be different when we have kids!

Kyle, unlike myself, never went to WDW as a kid so he doesn't share my nostalgia with IASW. It used to be our first ride every trip too! But he pretty much goes with the flow and he'll whine about it more as a joke because he knows he's going either way :rotfl:

We had so much fun last night! We hadn't been on a real date in awhile so it was really nice, and Dane Cook was hilarious. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Sounds like an awesome plan for MK! :thumbsup2

I know Toontown was open during the P & P Party, but that's the best I can help you with. I'd think it would be open during EMH.

As for the documents - I can't remember when we got ours. The tags came pretty close to our departure date. Maybe the other stuff comes 30 days out??

Thanks!! Good to know that your tags didn't come until close to the trip, that makes me feel better. I'm being patient for now, and it can't hurt to call later in the week.
