Hi all,
Well I had a wonderful time at DL got to meet several new faces from both the DIS and Dizpins so that was fun. The pals weekend went off pretty much without a hitch. I was very lucky to be at the parks the day the Hallween pins were released (boy were we suprised) so I have lots of new traders. I will try and get my trade list up soon.
Thanks for all the emails when PinPics went down of course I wasn't here to get them but Britt got some too so all turned out ok. We are moving to a dedicated machine so there shouldn't be the problems that we have been facing...HEHE It is just a little too popular to share space with anyone else...LOL
PinPics has grown so much in the last few months. Since August we have over 1,000 pins added to the database and have about 100 new members which is just awesume... We are so proud. I can't thank you all enough for enjoying the site and helping to make it as big as it is. There is no way that PinPics would be where it is without each one of our members making it so. We now have plenty of room for future growth as well.
I will probably be going back to DL in Jan. and I am hoping that I might be able to swing coming to the DISCON in Nov. I am going to work on Britt about this weekend...HEHE
I really missed the boards though while I was gone. I dont' think I will ever travel without my laptop again talk about withdrawal.... I did have no problems checking my pins though. I put them in my luggage and informed the check in desk that they were there... I didn't even need to get extra insurance since they were pretty much the only thing of value in the bag and I was covered up to $2500...
There was a bit of excitement at the airport for my friends as they were heading out of LAX for their flight to Vegas though. They had to wait in lines for 3 hours because they closed the southwest terminal due they heard to a woman who was drunk and left her bags unattended in the terminal. We are not sure if that was the true reason or not but the line to go through security was through all of one terminal outside down the sidewalk and into the next terminal.... they ended up going through the lines once the reopened the terminal and pulling people with early flights out and then coming back every 20 mins and getting people on the next leaving flight.... Luckily since they got their so early for their flight they only departed an hour late....
