Sorry guys.This is my first time on the computer since I got back,which was late Monday night.The drive down was okay except for the fog the first morning and the multiple fatality accident in Fort Pierce(just a terrible accident where 19 people were in a 11 person van and the van flipped.They were all thrown from the vehicle and 7 of them were dead and their bodies were all over the I-95)
We got on the cruise ship about 12 on Friday and toured it.Had some lunch and then sat out on the balcony just watching the world go by.They had the naming ceremony for the ship that night(the ship's godmother is the girl who played Captain Stubing's daughter on The Love Boat,Captain Stubing was there and so was the guy who played the doctor.She had just gotten married on the ship(another thing I saw and then did this ceremony)That was kinda neat.The ship pulled out about 8:30PM and we basically cruised down to the Florida Keys(out to international water so they could open the shops and casino)then back up to Fort Lauderdale.It was cool to sit out on the balcony and just watch the water go by.I was expecting the ocean to be pitch dark but since we didnt go too far off the coast we could still see lights in the distance.We got off the ship and into the car by 7:30 the next morning(after having our fill of breakfast)We got to WDW at about noon.It took 20 minutes to check into POP Century.When we got to our room the keys wouldnt work(turns out they gave us the wrong room number,so that delayed us a bit)We got to MK about 1:30 and hit Casey's for a hotdog.It was busy but certainly not as packed as when we there at Christmas.Most rides had at least a 35 minute wait(including It's a Small World)Since the park was open until 11 we werent in too much of a hurry.We had a few things we wanted to do and then after that we got into lines that werent back logged too much.We got to see almost everyshow and almost every ride by the time the park closed.we skipped the afternoon parade but saw the late SPectro Magic and the fireworks.
It took us three buses to get back to the resort.Walked back to the room to get our mugs(yes,I brought my mug from the All-Star Sports and used it and my sister used her Yacht Club one

)We were dead tired so to bed we went.I got up early to take pictures of the resort and then we headed down to the Marketplace to get my shopping down(needless to say I now own every piece of Mr.PotatoHead that I didnt get in December

)
We then said goodbye to Disney and headed to Daytona to get my son some NASCAR stuff.After leaving there we got caught in a brush fire near JAcksonville so that took 2 hours off our drive for the day.As we were driving through Georgia there were fires all along the side of the interstate.The funny thing was there was a firetruck ahead of us and they just kept on drivng.

We spent the night in South Carolina.
On Monday we headed for Mooresville,North Carolina(for yet more NASCAR stuff)We got caught on the interstate because the President was in CHarlotte and they shut down the roads.Fianlly got to our destination and left there about 12:30 after doing the DEI tour and having lunch.We decided(well I decided)that we would drive until we got home(well my sister did the driving)We got through the door about 12:30am
I had a great time and would do this little road trip again.In fact since my HUsband drove the 20 hours straight through in December he told me we could do a weekend trip whenever I wanted.When do we leave!
Thanks for reading.
