I'm a wander-er!

Well I can't get to WDW until March but we are going to run up to DollyWood in TN overnight Sat/Sun :banana::banana:

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My DH just got offered the transfer to Michigan! I am scared and excited all at the same time:cool1::cool1::confused3:confused3:confused3

That's great! We've got family all around the Detriot suburbs and around Ann Arbor. Thay love it!

Thanks! We are really excited. We will be about 5 hours from family in Ohio. It takes longer than that to get to Anchorage.

We started packing this weekend. I have no idea why we have some of this stuff:confused3

We're back from Disney. We had a fantastic time!! It was chilly but really beautiful the whole time we were there.
We did Hoop Dee Doo and the cast was really "on" that night. They just seemed to be having a really good time doing the show and they were going off script too. (we've seen the show a few times so I knew when stuff was happening). It was the holiday version of the show which was nice but I missed the love song that leads into This Land is your land.

Um yea... about accumulating a bunch of stuff... During my last move, I think I chucked half of my belongings because I had no desire to move them again...

 when a cast can do that successfully!

Glad to hear you guys had a great time!!

That's what I want to do but my DH is not hearing it!

 My sympathies... my DH is the same way.

I took me 3 years for him to let go of some shirts he got for Christmas... years ago... that fit him just after he graduated high school. THEY STILL HAD THE TAGS ON THEM!!! He admitted to never liking them, but wouldn't part with them because his mommy and sister gave them too him... :headache:

Okay so I was working with him on getting rid of stuff and I think I worked too hard:scared1: He wants to get rid of his car now!!:scared1: And BUY A NEW ONE!:scared1::scared1::scared1:
Sometimes it pays off just to let the little things go:rolleyes1

BTW... I know I promised not to complain about the weather and all... but my gauge read -1 this morning... it's Indiana! It's not supposed to get this cold! :rotfl2:

The Christmas spirit is alive and well around here though. I got my grandparent's tree up and decorated last night. They are 96 and 95 and it's just become too difficult for them to get everything out and put it up, so my dad helped me get everything out of the basement, then my kids and I decorated the tree and I put up some other decorations that haven't seen daylight in a few years.

Complain away about the cold--it really is miserable and far too early this year!

How nice of you to help your aging grandparents. Putting up the tree can be a big pain in the rump and overwhelming at their age. God bless them for their longevity. My grandmother is a youngster at nearly 91. :lmao:

Well I still got you beat! It's -40 here today with the warmest temps reaching -35:scared1: I had to go to town this morning (my DD got her braces off after 22 months:cool1:) and it was -40. I had to run errands but didn't want to get out of the car:eek:

Aren't you in Michigan? We are headed there soon but it will be warm to us:laughing:

Yes I am. We are southwest of Ann Arbor, but formerly lived in northern lower MI. It is unseasonably cold here this week, but a far cry from -45! :scared1:

I saw you posted on the Everything Michigan thread--hope someone was able to help you with information on the Selfridge AFB area. I have no familiarity with the thumb area. :confused3

I really hope so! I am gettting excited even though we have 6 million things left to do:cool1:

Still haven't wrapped a single Christmas present. I was going to tonight but my Dh had his wisdom teeth pulled yesterday so now he wants to wait until Saturday or Sunday to take the kids out to eat while I stay home and wrap.I feel so far behind. AND a few presents from Aazon still aren't here. THey aren't "big" presents but they are things I thought the kids would enjoy!

Better get off here. I need to get ready to go to the school. Today is my volunteer day and it's also their Christmas party:banana:

Hi - can I join this thread? I'm a newbie but I tend to jump around a lot - so many interesting things going on.
