Man, it's not a good start to winter around here!

It was 8 yesterday, 16 when I got to school, and has since dropped to 12!

I hope it warms up a touch over the next couple weeks. I get bummed out if people stay inside due to the cold!

It was -22 when I dropped the kids off this morning. THis is also a really dark time of year.
Really praying right now my DH gets a transfer soon I'm dreaming of a Christmas with palm trees and fruity drinks on the beach right now!

Finals this week But then a break until the end of January

From your lips to AFPC's ears. PLEASE PLEASE transfer my DH I'm ready for him to be stationed some where really warm. Yesterday it hurt to breathe. It really can take the fun out of Christmas. Hopefully we find out in the next couple of weeks about a few possible transfers

It got all the way down to 27 here today I keep hoping for snow but I doubt I'll see any anytime soon.

Yup, we're supposed to get pounded this weekend. DS is excited though... I finally broke down and bought him a new pair of snow boots. Tony Hawk snowboots... yeah... about that... those are expensive!!!!

I'm partial to the cheap .99 cent cheap knit cheap gloves. Did I say cheap? We lose gloves alot around here so these work well for us.

My sister tried waitressing as a second job to help out with bills (she's a single mom) and she said it just wasn't worth it. Business was too slow. It's really sad time. Hang in there! I'm sure with the Christmas spirit things will pick up!

I haven't even started wrapping. With 3 kiddos I am way behind but I have finals this week and next so all my attention is going there. Ny 13 yr old wants to help wrap but I would feel bad

My DH interviewed for the transfer to Michigan today and his interview for Alabama is next week. I am secretly pulling for Alabama

Thanks! I am getting excited. I can't wait to tell the kids when they get home form school! I think my 2 younger ones will love it but my 13 yr old DD might make that face! LOL
