I would like any opinions on this dessert party, I have booked on April 8th for my wife and I, we don't drink I will enjoy some desserts but I was more worried about a good spot to watch fireworks, touring plans say big crowds for that day and it's my wife birthday so I thought she would enjoy.

The only down side is not having seating for the party, in my opinion. If you don't care about alcohol, you may want to check out the Tomorrow Land Dessert Party at MK. It has covered seating and an awesome POV.

Me and the gf did both firework shows on our past trip and honestly the reserved location was worth it in and of itself. All the food was just icing on top, all the cast members were overly nice and friendly. I did like the epcot a bit more only for the fact that it seemed like me and my gf were the youngest ones there (both in our twenties) and it was a nice relaxing end to the day.

Biggest complaint is no seating. If you're good with paying the premium for the booze when you won't drink any, and you are also good with not being able to sit down, then you will likely enjoy the viewing area.

Don't they do FPs for Illuminations? If you're not going to drink, eat just a bit, isn't that a lot to spend just for a "spot"---not even a chair? Why not just do a FP? If it's a concern about availability, I wonder if you could get it as your fourth FP that day.

Also, doesn't one of the restaurants, maybe Rose & Crown, have good views of Illuminations? Spice Road Table may too. You could maybe make an ADR.

Are alcoholic beverages included in the price or do they cost extra?

Included.. You pay for them even if you don't drink

There is a lot of room in the DP to move around and try different things. The no seats thing is really not that big of a deal for two adults. It is worth it for the viewing area and for the addition of tasty treats and sparkling wine.
