Called at 7:00 am and cruises were all booked. :( Guess there isnt any way to bypass all of the questions you are asked???

sherry8253,

This was posted on page 4 of the thread - hope it helps!

I did succeed the second day I called by following the directions at the top of the thread. However as soon as the welcome message started, I pressed 4 and then 2, home phone, #, 1, 1 and someone came on the line. I couldn't believe it! As soon as I heard the live voice, I said my date and illuminations cruise - and I got it! Good luck!

I am looking to share a boat for Illuminations OR MK Fireworks on November 26th (a Friday). I would need space for 4 people (1 adult, 2 teenagers (well-behaved), and a 3 year old (who LOVES boats!). My DH is deployed to Korea so this will be a special (SURPRISE) treat for them!!

Please send a PM, reply post, or email me directly at michelledavis319@hotmail.com

BTW, I am also going to try and call for a boat for that same evening if anyone else is looking to share. Before I call though, do I need to specify a particular boat or area (to view Illuminations or MK Fireworks...i.e., is one boat better than another)?!?

Thanks!

Welcome to the Dis, disneygirl319. I'm very glad you found us and I hope you can visit often.

You might have better luck finding a cruise to share if you post your request to our ILLUMINATIONS CRUISE CENTRAL FOR NOVEMBER. You will find that thread HERE

Just want to remind everybody to never give up. Cancellations DO happen. In fact, one pontoon did not go out last night when the family was a no-show!

Keep calling. After you arrive, walk over to Bayside Marina during the day, and ask to be put on the Waiting List. Finally, if you are around Bayside Marina between 8:00pm and 8:45pm, check if there were any No-Show parties. (I know this is not an easy thing to do, especially if you are not staying in the immediate area).

Does anyone have a cruise they want to share Nov. 29 with 4 adults and 2 children (5 and 2)

OK, I just realized that I posted this in the wrong place and it won't let me edit it, so I hope a moderator comes along and puts this in the right spot. Sorry.

I realized that I did that after it was too late. I will get it in the right spot and hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks.

We just got back from sharing an Illuminations Cruise on 10/26 we two other DIS families. Overall it was a great experience but we did have a problem though as the spot we anchored next to under the bridge had the view obscured by one of the ferry boats they use for transportation. Apparently it was a trial run using the ferry boat that had been scheduled for months but just happened to fall on the night of our reservation.

Everything to the right was visible but the left was not. We voiced our concerns/complaints to the CM piloting our pontoon boat. He was very accomodating and tried to anchor in different locations but they all had the same result. When we returned to the dock we spoke with a different CM that authorized a 50% refund on the price of the cruise. We were happy to receive the refund but still felt compelled to stay and wait for the manager to let him know they should not anchor the ferry boat in front of the pontoon boats.

I have know idea if this is something they will do on a regular basis and don't want anyone to panic but just wanted to give a "heads up" in case anyone else has a similar experience.

We took the Breathless out on October 23rd and it was WELL worth the effort! I just wanted to report that our captain informed us she will be undergoing refurbishment for an undetermined amount of time beginning November 1st (this past Monday). For the time being, this means only pontoons will be available for the Illuminations cruises.

When we asked how long it would take, he produced a ziplock bag of miscellaneous screws and parts and said "as long as it takes to figure out where these go"! LOL!

Hi! I'm wondering if anyone knows if there's a difference between being P/U at the BW or Yachtclub for Illuminations. I don't think that I can wait to call WDW play tomorrow afternoon for the answer! Hee hee.

FYI, there is one boat dispatched from BoardWalk, usually piloted by Cap't Jeff. The remaining boats dispatch from Bayside Marina at the Yacht Club Resort.
It is easier for those drivers to leave from Bayside, since that is where they have to process your payment and also get any life jackets, etc. Once you are on the cruise, they can drop you off at just about any dock (Epcot, BoardWalk, Swan & Dolphin, or MGM).
It's a short walk from BoardWalk to Bayside Marina, so if it doesn't matter to you.............

Called at 7:00am but got slowed down up after hitting #4. They ask for a phone number followed by the pound key. I must of put my phone number in 3 times before it took. What am I doing wrong? I would welcome any tips for tomorrow!

I have a cruise booked for Dec. I have a question about payment. Do you pay the captain or someone else? What forms of payment are accepted?

Thanks in advance for any responces.

When you book the cruise you give a Credit Card Number to HOLD the boat. The captain does not have this credit card info at the marina so you need to pay, either by credit card, Disney room key card, or by cash.
When you arruve at the marine see your captain to make the payment.

Hi,

I have an Illuminations cruise booked for December. Will it be cold on the boat? We will have 2 toddlers, 2 children, and 8 adults. All but two are northeners and will have warm jackets and gloves and stuff. Should we bring some warm clothes for the two Texans??? :chat:

It may be cold on the boat, but all boats have blankets on them for your use.

I appreciate your quick reply! Thanks.....:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
