Illuminations Cruise Central--DECEMBER

Thanks Mike. I assumed that we are treated equally. This whole thing is just so confusing. First the report that the pontoon boats are down for rehab (that came from the manager of the recreation department), next someone reported being told that it was instead a marina rehab at the YC/BC. Now you have a first hand report from Capt. Ron that they would never cancel the cruises, which is exactly what I thought. Even if the marina were down for rehab, wouldn't they simply move the boarding to either BWI, Swan or Dolphin. I can't imagine that they would opt to cancel the cruises and lose all that money when they have other docks available

Mike, that's odd, huh? My concierge mentioned this to me in regards to my request later in Dec. He said the "rehab at the Yacht and Beach marina" started on 12/9 and was hoped to be finished on 12/14.

But now it sounds like that's not the case, eh? I did wonder why they couldn't park the boats somewhere else but since it didn't affect my date, didn't think more about it until Tammi started having problems.

I would be very interested in sharing a boat on the Illuminations cruise Dec. 13th or any night from 15th - 18th. We are a family of 4 with a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old (don't, however, let that scare you! They are pretty well-behaved night owls and since we are used to Mountain time anyway, there shouldn't be any crabbies ).

I got it! I got it! Illuminations cruise for Dec 18th! Looking to share, we could split up the cost evenly between the number of people we end up having (117.34 plus tax plus approx $20 tip).

We are a family of 3 (DH, me, and almost 3yo DS). Unlike other posts, I will not promise that DS will be an angel LOL. He is 2 1/2 right now, and he behaves like a typical 2yo - pretty good most of the time, but then you have the occasional tantrum here and there. The late hour won't be a problem since his bedtime is 9 pm Mountain time.

Anyway, if I haven't scared you off with the toddler warning and you are still interested in sharing the cruise, please PM me with your contact info and the number of people in your party.

Looking to share an Illuminations cruise on Dec. 21st, 22nd, or 23rd. I tried calling for a ressie for the 22nd and the 23rd using all of the disboard tips and came up empty. I don't know viewing perspective for wishes cruise, but just booked one for the 26th. I was told these are easier to get as there are more boats dedicated to wishes than illuminations. Illuminations is more limited for safety reasons and their proximity to the fireworks.

CM also told me personal snack or beverage for children is not permitted.

Okay, struck out again - kind of. Really wanted a Dec. 31 NYE Illuminations cruise, but by the time I got through all (both for the 7:30 and the 11:40 shows) were sold out. But she offered me the midnight MK fireworks cruise, which I snapped up.

Still would rather do Illuminations - as we are at the Dolphin and don't want to fight getting to/from the MK area. If anyone has room on either Illuminations cruise that night, let me know!
