Tried to reserve today and all was booked by 7:02. We are looking to share a cruise on 12/06 if anyone has space. Myself, DW and two DDs (7 and 11). If anyone was successful for this date and would like to share. Please email or post reply. Thanks in advance.

I'm usually very good at getting through but I'm having difficulty this time around. I've tried for the whole week without success. Same old story, I get answered at 7:59 am but I'm already put in a waiting que and then it's too late.

Even if you can't share a cruise I would love to hear that people are getting them, anyway. At least share how you did it; so, it can help the rest of us for the days remaining to try.

I find it very unusual after a week into getting ressies for December that noone on these boards has posted to share, yet.

I can tell you that the RAPD newsgroup gathering is the first week in December and they are making a mass effort to get boats. Basically the same type of thing we are doing. They get boats and then let their friends come along. (See Deb's site www.wdwig.com for details.) This may mean that there is even MORE demand then normal for that first weekend in December. Plus that is a very popular time with DVC members who also know the tricks.

Like so many we have not been lucky getting one of the Ecpot Fireworks Cruises.

So we have booked one for the MK firework cruise's for December 5th have room if anyone would like to share one with us. Please email.

We know it is not the Ecpot one still a fireworks cruise and it should be nice.

I feel your pain...waking up early these past 4 days, and getting into the queue before 7 AM, but always too late for the Specialty Cruise! They have offerred me the MK fireworks cruise each time but told me that they do not have a firm schedule as yet, so its not definite that you would even see the fireworks at this time. With only 5 boats, I have to believe that there are other besides DisBoards members trying to reserve!

but it's still not me. Although, I felt like I got a little closer this time. I got answered at 7:59am and did get a CM right then; however, the cruises were still booked, already.

Well, tomorrow is another day. Because I got closer today I'm hoping someone here got it today? Anyone lucky?

I was up early this am, dialing at 6:55. Got in at 6:59:30 and was on hold until 7:02. When I finally got thru, I was told that they were booking no cruises for Dec 7th or 8th. I will be up again tomorrow, and if I am unsuccessful, we a family of 4, 2 adults (39) and 2 well behaved kids (11 & 9) would be looking to share a cruise Dec 8-12 if anyone has any luck.

but with today's Dec. 9th ressies I went with Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast. We do MVMCP on Dec. 9th; so, the cruise is out for today's 90 day ahead ressie. I was just happy to get this MK ressie because we had never done this event. Although, your odds are better for this event they still only have 90 resevations for breakfast. It's one of the most popular PS meals.

I did hear on another post (from September) that sometimes waiting in the phone que is not a dead end especially if you are in early. This party was able to secure their last boat that day for Illuminations cruise by staying on the line. This may be another stategy that will work. I did this the first day I called and it didn't work but I didn't get answered til 7:10 am that day. The other days I skipped waiting in the que. I'll probably stay on the line now just in case.

Has anyone been sucessful? How did you do it?

Well, on Dec 10 I was answered at 6:59 am and put in the waiting que and waited. CM answered at 7:02 am and already booked.

Are we all strike-outs, here?

I know this group planned to book many boats. They must have flooded the rec line every morning for the first week of December and when one scored they might have booked all the boats. Is it possible to reserve more than one boat at a time?
This is the first time I haven't seen any people looking to share their boats on this board. Looks kind of suspicious

Unfortunately Bete I believe we are. Someone is obviously getting through and booking but it would appear to be folks who don't travel these boards. I have unfortunately resigned myself that there will be no cruise for this trip. Oh well, I suppose there is plenty of other stuff to keep us all occupied. Best of luck to those of you still trying!

I hate to give up....BUT...I GIVE UP! I just can't get up at 4:00 A.M again! I guess we will just have to watch Illuminations from a different advantage point, we've done it before. I thought it would be a special thing to do with my family. Ah well...that's the way it goes. HM
