Illuminations Cruise Central--DECEMBER

ead79 - I believe it holds 10 adults comfortably but if there are children in the party then it's up to 12 people.

Thanks for the clarification, WebmasterPenny. :)

Bete,

I sent you a PM; but just in case will post it here. Do you still have room for four Adults on December 18? We would love to join you. Would love to treat my in-laws to something very special. We are celebrating my father in-laws birthday while there. Willing to pay for the additional cost to make it a birthday fireworks cruise.

My husband wasn't sure he wanted to go on a cruise again because it might be too cold for our two year old daughter. My parent's are watching her that night; so that is no longer an issue.

Let us know if you have room for us. We appreciate the offer. I had thought of trying myself and making the same offer; but didn't know how many people were going with us. The in-laws just booked their trip on Monday.

Thanks,
The Soltwisch Family

I sent you an e-mail. You are more then welcome to join us.

Haven't gotten the email yet; but will keep my eyes open for it. We would love to join you! I will PM you again and we can work out the details!

Thank-you so much! We are looking forward to it!

Would appreciate sharing an Illuminations Cruise. We will be there from Dec. 9th to the 15th. It would be just two adults and we would share the expence.

Bete,

Thank-you for sharing your cruise with us. We are really looking forward to it!

Soltwisch Family (or anyone else who may know): We are cruising on 12/2 :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: and I had been wondering about being out on the water in the wind. How cold was it for you? I am guessing that the adults found in tolerable  if you are planning on doing it again. What time of the year did you go and what was the air temperature? Does the boat provide blankets at all, or should we bring some from the Boardwalk Villas. Gloves? We are from Wisconsin, so the cold weather is all relative, but I still don't want to underestimate the cold.

Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

We have a cruise on hold for the MK for Dec. 7
anyone who would like to share this experience with us is more than welcome. This is a MVMXP night so their will be fireworks.

J&J - We have a MK cruise on hold for Friday, December 5 (my birthday--and Walt's too!). We have the 8:00 cruise. However, I asked on another thread what time the fireworks were for MVMCP and someone said they are not unil 9:15. I am wondering if we will still be out on the water at that time. I didn't think the cruises were that long. Anyone have any idea?

My sister and her fiance are going to be in the world that week and I would love to suprise them. It would just be the two of them for the cruise. Anyone have room?

PM Bete ASAP. She has been so kind to share the cruise with us on the 18th. I believe there is still room for two more. Good Luck. Hope your sister and Fiancee will be able to join us.

I wish I could answer how cold it will be for a December cruise. We went in July. If I recall correctly we were out on the boat for about 50 minutes give or take a little. I was wearing a very light jacket; but had only a tank top underneath it. No one either than our DD 2 and niece wore a jacket; and they all had short sleeve shirts and shorts on. No one complained about being cold. Maybe it was because we were having too much fun.

Find out if you can bring or get hot chocolate of coffee for the trip. I plan to wear to wear layers and maybe bring a light weight winter jacket to wear. I know they put towels over the seats so you don't get a wet seat; but don't know about if they have blankets. I have some light weight down throws that pack down to nothing. I will plan to bring those just in case.

Enjoy your cruises! They are really fabulous. I highly recommend the upgrade to a birthday/party cruise. The cake is yummy! It is a splurge but so worth it.

Don't forget to bring some ear muffs. I like the kind that wrap around the back of your head and hug the ears. They also make ones the cover the ears without the head band at all. Might be a good investment. I am also planning on bringing a pair of gloves, too.

You can have sis and fiancee join us, no problem. I did a PM and an email through DisBoards to you; hopefully, you will get both.

That is a very sweet thing you are trying to do for them.

I replied to your PM. I went on one we went last time. Although I have no interest in going on another one, I thought it would be a nice treat for them. Thank you so much for working this out for me.

For everyone that has spent countless days dialing until their fingers hurt, that never stopped believing or trying until they found success: Congratulations!

For everyone out there that has kindly and generously offered to share their cruise with those of us not as fortunate to obtain the coveted prize: Our Deepst Gratitude and Heartfelt Thanks!

We have been blessed twice with the opportunity to share a cruise. We are very grateful for the past and current opportunity. It is our hope that someday we can do the same for others.

Many Thanks to Disbug and Bete!

The Soltwisch Family

The December 17 and 18 cruise is now closed. Thanks for all that have joined us in sharing this wonderful experience. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Just in case there's a cancellation by anyone, I will post again for openings if that should occur.
