Illumination and wishes cruise

DH and I have thought about taking one of these cruises but are not quite sure what it all entails. Can anyone enlighted me as to what all occures on these cruises. And does anyone know if taking a cruise in September would be chilly?

The first post at the top of this thread has some really good information.

The illuminations cruise takes you into the lake in EPCOT so you can see the fireworks over your head without standing in line with crowds. They are very hard to get as there are only a couple of boats. I've been trying the last few days and b just after 7 they are all booked.

Wishes cruise takes you into the 7 seas lagoon where you can see the MK fireworks from outside the park.

I was told that there is a four person minimum to book a cruise. Is this true? Hubby and I wanted a private night together.

Boats are rented on a 'per boat' fee, not per person.

MK cruise, as with the Illuminations, takes you around a bit to the resorts that the respective water is adjacent to, the Epcot resorts and MGM for Illuminations, the monorail resorts for the MK cruise. We did both and thought both were great.
