Il Mulino 1/2 portions vs. split one full portion? (Planning Boardwalk Progressive Meal)

Hi we are doing a first night progressive meal/adventure on the Boardwalk..
First Blue Zoo Lounge for Crab Nachos or Calamari
Second Kimonos for a Sushi Roll (would love to hear what the top choice is on the menu!)
Third entree at Il Mulino. - I see they offer 1/2 portions. Are they half price? We will not want
a big meal here so I thought to split one entree and wonder if they dont do that since they offer
the 1/2? Is it truly a 1/2 portion?

For those curious the rest of the plan is..
Stroll the Boardwalk after for shopping, Boardwalk Bakery to get the next days breakfast, and a stop at
Abracadabar for after dinner drink then we are off to Jellyrolls to sing are heads off!!!

Not sure what you mean by half portions at Il Mulino. They do serve a few items family style, but you have to have a party of four or more to make it work. That said, I had dinner there on Tuesday night, and my friends split a salad and a pizza, so they are open to sharing entrees.

Either way will work - you can order one full portion and let the server know you'd like to share, or you can each order a 1/2 portion. Sounds like a fun way to eat around the Boardwalk!

This is a really fun idea. We're actually doing something similar on Christmas Eve. We're doing food and apps at Il Mulino, then ice cream at Ample Hills and drinks at Abracadabar.

Yes, you can get half portions at Il Mulino. I like it because I can never decide. One year I got half pappardelle and half bolognese. As far as the pricing goes, it's not half price, per se. A $25 dish may be $15, if memory serves me right.

My husband and I have ordered 1/2 portions there. We wanted different pasta dishes so sharing did not occur to us. Since they do offer half portions I would not ask to share.

This should fit in nicely with your progressive dinner. We have done this several times. At monorail hotels as well. Very fun!!!

We did something very similar on our last trip with stops in Shula's, Blue Zoo, and ending in Il Mulino. Plan had been Disney Springs, but the weather had different ideas for us. We hadn't eaten much at the first 2 stops so we ended up splitting an entree which was just the right amount of food. We had asked about just getting 2 separate half orders, but the half order was somewhere north of 50% just don't recollect the exact amount. Have fun!

Although not listed as such on the BlueZoo Lounge menu, the crab nachos are available in a 1/2 portion size (the regular order is huge and very rich since the crab is butter-poached).

However, if you're they are running "happy hour" specials when you are there, that ends up being a better deal.

We were eyeing the crab nachos so thank you! we want a smaller portion in order to fit in the whole adventure!
