I have 6 Ikea sofas in my home. One is an Ektorp in brown leather that we bought from the as-is section. It is probably 7-8 years old now and still looks good after heavy use though the leather on the bottom front looks a little saggy. It's very comfortable and was WELL worth the money. I also have two discontinued white leather sofas (bought on clearance) that are probably 4 years old and don't get much use. They're very comfortable and still look good. And I just bought two new Karlstad white leather sofas for my living room. I like the style and the durability. They look great. And you can't beat the price for real leather.
The only sofa I don't like was a cheap fabric sofabed sofa we purchased. I hated it from the moment we put it together. It's hard, uncomfortable and practically useless.
