If you've stayed in an AKV standard studio, what was your view of?

I'm planning a trip for next year, and I think we might want to stay at AKV.

Anyway, if anyone has stayed in a standard AKV studio, could you tell me what your view was from your room?

I absolutely DON'T want a view of a parking lot! But I would love a pool view, and of course a savannah view would be wonderful too. Are these the only views (pool or savannah) you can get with a standard studio at AKV?

I just want to make sure that if we book a standard studio at AKV, we won't get stuck with a parking lot view.

Only two room categories have varying views and those are the value rooms which have a choice of parking lot, pool or savanna, along with concierge which is pool or savanna, you cannot guarentee a particular view for these. A Savanna view is just as it says guarenteed savanna view.

The only thing I would add is that some pool views are better than others. If your room is very close to the lobby, part of your view may be of the roofs of the restaurants below your room. We suspected that would be the case and it was confirmed by spiceycat who got one of those rooms.

I was lucky enough to get a "Studio Std View Jambo" for 6 nights late January/early February. (I had SSR confirmed and wait-listed for AKV, which quickly came through!) With so many categories, I guess my only concern is that I get the category my points paid for! The view doesn't matter to me as much as location (and room size!). No chance they'll stick me in a "Value" Studio, is there?!

The dotted and dashed lines are part of the original drawing and indicated the construction schedule for Jambo House. That schedule has changed a few times since this map was first published. I believe these dates are at least approximately correct:

white dotted line: opened in July (?) 2007
blue dotted line: opened Sep 1, 2007
red dashed line: due to open Dec 1, 2007
white dashed line: due to open Jan 29, 2008

I then "spray painted" the location of the Value, Standard View and Concierge villas onto the construction map using lime green, yellow and pink respectively. The areas not marked with spray paint are non-concierge Savanna View villas. Each area except for Concierge has a mix of dedicated studios and 2BR lockoffs. Concierge has 5 2BR lockoffs.

Here is yet another drawing that shows the Units that have been sold or are currently being sold. Each unit consists of a few villas for example Unit 47 consists of 4 dedicated studios and Unit 48 consists of 2 2BR lockoffs. If you look through this list of what each Unit contains and find that unit on the map, you can see how the dedicated studios and 2BR lockoffs are laid out within AKV.

This is a photo from our one bedroom standard #5432 which was just a few more doors down the hallway. Still fairly close to the lobby IMHO. We REALLY enjoyed this one!
