I heard that they will be replacing the paper coffee cups with real ceramic mugs in a Kidani Studio. Can anyone tell me if this has happened yet?

Also, I read that they put 4 paper/coated plastic bowls in each room. If you use these in the morning, do you have to wash them in the wetbar sink each day or can you get new ones each day? Do you recommend that you bring your own plastic bowls instead?

Thanks! :)

I only know about the mugs. A few weeks ago I was at Jambo, and got talking with a person staying in a Kidani studio. Both of us were bemoaning the tiny coffee cups in our studios. They weren't good size mugs, but at least they were ceramic.

We stayed in a studio at Kidani last week. There are 4 small, ceramic coffee mugs, 4 paper bowls, 4 paper plates, and 4 sets of plastic spoons/knife/fork sets. and a 12 cup coffee maker. We brought our own plastic bowls, plastic plates, coffee mug, spoons, forks and knifes. We washed them after using them at the wet bar. Wasn't a big deal. We will, though, bring our own toaster next time, to toast 4 slices at one time.

I always bring 4 glad plastic containers with lids, for left overs, and to use as cereal bowls. The little bowls they give you don't hold enough for me. If I have room I also bring 2 larger mugs so I don't have to keep getting up from the balcony to get more coffee.

I think that next time, I'll go to the resort gift store the first day and buy a coffee mug. Like you I got sick of constantly needing to refill my dinky little coffee cup they supply.

It's just so frustrating. HH's were just as small! Cripes.

I am going to steal the idea for the glad plastic containers when I go in December. They are easy to store in my luggage and then you can actually have a full serving of cereal.
I usually bring my old refillable mug (not for free refills) but for a nice size cup for my coffee.

I thought it was a "member enhancement" -- built-in exercise! ;)

Thanks everyone! :grouphug: We'll probably buy a couple of mugs while we're there and leave them in our OL. I love the idea of the Glad bowls. I'm thinking, when we're in a studio, they'd be great for cereal (as you mentioned) and when we're in a 1 BR or bigger, we may actually have leftovers to use them for. They'll also go in the OL. LOVE that idea!

I know I've seen people filling their refillable mugs with coffee. So if you have them couldn't you use that in lieu of the itty bitty ceramic cups? I like bobbiwoz idea of buying a souvenir mug though. If I could :sad1: still drink coffee or tea that is what I'd do. Man I really miss having a hot cup of coffee of tea in the morning.
