If your heart is in your DREAM ……… a Aug/Sept 2011, NEW - links to dining/trip report

Hi Karin, just read your Dream plans, love the pictures. I will have to send my DD's that video link from Momapotts of the Wonder. We are going to do the explore Atlantis tour and hopefully come back early and ride the aquaduck. We are parasailing in the morning at Castaway Cay(it was cancelled the last time we were there), then we will head over to Serenity Bay (my favorite part of the cruise). :)

Hi Teri! :wave2:

That tiltshift video is fun isn't it? And you can watch it as often as you want to, it never gets boring! :thumbsup2
Wow, you have a lot of activities planned for your cruise! :scared1: And I love the part about Serenity Bay! My favourite part of the cruise too!

Just to let you know - Tom and I can't wait to see again this summer! :cloud9:

Trip planning:

Day 13, August 25

Today we end cruise 1 and start cruise 2. We will sleep in a little, get ready and then head to our assigned restaurant for the last breakfast with our current table mates.

IMG_6784.JPG

We will also hand out the tip envelopes to our serves, as we will have missed them the day before.
After dinner we will meet with the rest of the back to back cruisers and wait to be taken off the ship. On the Wonder they had a CM who walked everyone off the ship, got them through customs and back to the check in area again. I guess we all will have to wait for a while

DSC_0189.JPG

until we can check in for cruise no 2 and get back to the ship. On the Wonder we had to wait in Cove Café until we could go and have lunch and I guess it will be the same this time around. I must not forget to bring my laptop, as this is the perfect time to type some of that trip report.

Once we are allowed to go for lunch we will head to the Enchanted Garden for lunch.

IMG_6794.JPG

There will still be some time left before we are allowed back into our staterooms, so we will enjoy the ship until it is time for us to go back to our stateroom or maybe meet with our fellow DIScruisers.
Once we are back in our stateroom we will relax and nap for a while

IMG_6513.JPG

until it is time for the safety drill again.

DSC_0454.JPG

We will then head upstairs to watch the sail away party

and wait for the ship to leave the dock and head out to sea.

I guess there will be little time left to change and get ready for the Golden Mickeys Show

which we always enjoy and soon after that we will head to our assigned dining location to meet our new table mates and to have a nice and relaxed dinner.

After dinner we will get changed into something more comfortable, pick up our Fish Extender Gifts for the first night and head out to do our first round. Maybe we stop by a bar or the Cove Café on the way back for a drink before we call it a day

and go to bed.

Thanks for being so understanding, my friend-

We are sailing on RCI's Explorer of the Seas for 9 nights out of Bayonne, NJ- meaning we can leave our home, drive to the port in 1/2 an hour, and be sipping our first fruity welcome aboard cocktail by 1:00 with NO AIRPLANES! :worship: How incredibly easy is THAT??? :cool1: We are going to Bermuda, St Maarten, St Thomas (where we have hired a private boat we always hire when we are down there and going over to St John for the day and maybe Jost Van Dyk, we'll see.....) and Puerto Rico (we're doing a segway tour there- the boys are going to LOOOOOOVE it!!). Very, very excited!! I am MOST looking forward to Bermuda- I have never been, even though it is only a 2 hour flight from here, and I have heard so many good things. :goodvibes

Wonderful cruising plans. Looking forward to reading about the tour and the wine tasting :)

Karin, plans continue to look great. And this time I ate my Fiber One bar BEFORE I looked at an update from you. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Wow! Ellen, that sounds like an awesome cruise!
And NO flying involved, lucky girl! ;) Are you going to do a review? You are going to hire a private boat in St. Thomas - I need to know all about it ..... that is what we have our heart set for 2012 (Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy).
Can't wait to hear ALL about it! :goodvibes

This looks heavenly!!! Ok.. time for me to go eat. ;)

You know Ann, some of these photos I just post just for you! :rotfl2: Hope you had a nice hearty breakfast - more food (and fun) to come soon!

Wonderful cruising plans. Looking forward to reading about the tour and the wine tasting :)

We did the wine tasting last year and it was fun, the tour should be interesting, I'll let you know about it as soon as we have checked it out! :goodvibes

It's getting so close now!~
You are gonna love the Dream.

I am so looking forward to the cruise part of our trip as we are so excited to set foot on the DREAM. She looked huge when we went to Port Canaveral and yet she looked so much like our "beloved" WONDER!

We leave in 18 and a half days (it's past 6pm, so I am only counting today as half a day! :rotfl2:)

Karin, plans continue to look great. And this time I ate my Fiber One bar BEFORE I looked at an update from you. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thank you, Kathy! As I said before we are getting more and more excited about the cruise - should make for a loooooooooooong trip report! ;)
:woohoo: good for you to remember to have a snack before reading! :rotfl2:

Before I post the plans for the next day I wanted to show you what I was occupied with at the weekend.

Tom and I have been talking a lot about our FE. We used our "old" one last year and were not sure IF we should use it again or WHAT we should do for this year.

Now, Disney has come up with different ear-hats for the countries in WS and that gave us an idea for the logo for this year's trip!

So, what do you think of our logo magnet?

DSC_0018.jpg

And this is the other logo we are using for this cruise ......

DSC_0017.jpg

We have some more magnets to go on our stateroom door, so here is one more ....

DSC_0015.jpg

And after Tom had designed the Austrian ear-hat magnet we thought why not go with the theme and use it for our Fish extender as well.
I worked on our FE for about 5 hours yesterday and here is the finished product.

DSC_0005.jpg

A little more detail .........

DSC_0008.jpg

of Tom's part

and here's pocket no 2 ...........

DSC_0011.jpg

Now, what do you think? :rotfl2:

First, I love your kitty pic!! In that frame is just too darn cute! :goodvibes

And everything else... awesome!!!

And as for photos. :rotfl: Thank you. I appreciate them. I did manage to eat this morning before coming to the boards though.... and it was more than toast and coffee. Course...this is the ONE morning that there isnt a bunch of tempting yummy pictures. Figures when I am not hungry there would not be any. :rotfl2:

Well, Pixie is our little princess, so the frame just fits her! :rotfl2:

I'll try include more yummy food pics in my next update! ;)

Oh, Karin - I love your magnets and FE! That little dirndl (sp?) skirt is so sweet. Now we know what to look for when we come delivering ...

Trip planning:

Day 14, August 26

It’s Nassau day again. If we are up that early we will watch the ship dock at Nassau,

DSC_0004.jpg

then head up to the Cove Café to get some early morning coffee.

IMG_7984.jpg

We will then enjoy our caffeine boost on the veranda before getting ready to head to Cabanas for breakfast.

IMG_6560.JPG

If we feel like it we might wander into Nassau, or just pick up a few Bahamian drinks.

IMG_6579.jpg

IMG_6924.jpg

At 11am we might head to Meridian for the Wine Tasting, if we didn’t catch the one on our first cruise. Then it will be time for lunch. Depending on our mood we will either go to Cabanas

klein_438.jpg

or head to the Royal Palace.
In the afternoon we might even hit the quiet pool or try to ride the Aquaduck. Depending on whether we will have done the Wine Tasting we will do either do the Whiskey or the Martini Tasting.

klein_716.jpg

DSC_0095.jpg

We might even skip the show tonight and enjoy some time in our stateroom or visit one of the lounges.
Depending on how much we will like the Pirate Show, we will go and experience it again or just explore the ship and hand out more Fish Extender gifts.

klein_711.jpg

Then we will head to our assigned restaurant of the day for dinner.

klein_572.jpg

DSC_0366.jpg

After dinner we will head up on deck again to watch the fireworks.

DSC_0941.JPG

Once they are done we might even pick up a few goodies to nibble on from the buffet.

If there are still Fish Extender gifts to hand out we will do that after the fireworks before we will sink our heads into the pillows.

Oh, Karin - I love your magnets and FE! That little dirndl (sp?) skirt is so sweet. Now we know what to look for when we come delivering ...

Thank you!

Tom did a great job on the magnets didn't he? And we have a few more, but I can't give everything away, can I? ;)

And I am glad you liked our Dirndlskirt and Lederhosen! :rotfl2: Once we had decided on the Austrian influenced theme it was easy to come up with the design of the FE! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: I just ate some lunch and came back to find such yummy pics. My lunch was no wear near as yummy..in the way it looked or I am sure the way it tasted. Oh well...

At least you had some lunch before discovering the new update! :rotfl2:
It's so funny, you just had lunch and for me it's nearly bedtime (10pm!) ;)

The lederhosen & dirndl are so cute. That's a great idea to focus on your culture!

I like the picture of your cat, such a cute Disney frame.

LUCKILY, I ate lunch before the most recent update. Great fireworks pictures.
