Thanks for your tip, about the sunscreen - problem is, I have very sensitive skin, so I DO apply sunscreen before we leave the ship. But in order to be out in the sun I need "another layer"to stay in the sun. I apply loads of it every few hours, not the nicest feeling but at least I don't turn into a boiled lobster!
Before I post the plans for the next day I wanted to show you what I was occupied with at the weekend.
Tom and I have been talking a lot about our FE. We used our "old" one last year and were not sure IF we should use it again or WHAT we should do for this year.
Now, Disney has come up with different ear-hats for the countries in WS and that gave us an idea for the logo for this year's trip!
So, what do you think of our logo magnet?

We have some more magnets to go on our stateroom door, so here is one more ....
And after Tom had designed the Austrian ear-hat magnet we thought why not go with the theme and use it for our Fish extender as well.
I worked on our FE for about 5 hours yesterday and here is the finished product.

Karin!! here I am, catching up yet again. I love reading your PTR, but will admit, after reading yours, Kathy's and others I was beginning to get more than a little homesick for a WDW visit. No possibility of a trip before Rosie and I go for our 65th celebration so took a little time away....could not stay away long though.
looks like a very full day.. but and AWESOME one!!! How cool to have a cabana! And of course, thank you for posting the food pics.
Can't leave home without a "reminder" of our princess!

I have been away too long from disboard (I missed reading all your reviews and TP). You are getting really close to your trip and I'm really excited for you. I can't wait to read about your Cabanas.
My husband just told me last night that he has a conference in Orlando the week of Aug 8th (I tried to price out the airfare for me and my son its a little to expensive for a last minute trip so he said lets drive and its a new adventure for our son). So why not we are going to Disney (we are not staying on property though...we are staying across Sea world). So while my husband is in conference all day my son and I get to enjoy. I'm not used touring in the summer time so I'm a little nervous. Not sure how many days we will be in a Disney park since my son already said he wants to spend 2 days in Sea World. He said he wants to go to HS (he loves Cars, Disney playhouse, Stunt show and wants to do Jedi training). I'm trying to decide AK or MK (he loves AK more than MK...but how can we go to FL and not spend time in MK). We don't have annual pass so we have to buy tickets
I love last minute trips but I liked to be organized too. We are going away this weekend so it does not give me time to preplan.
for going back to Orlando so soon! Apply lots of sunscreen, drink LOTS of water and try to get out of the sun now and then. Take a midday break - well, at least that is what we are doing!
Also, our pups have not been doing well. Our sweet Jackie was in the hospital 3 days this week, during the day, for fluids and this morning she is not feeling great again. I feel so bad for her, but she clearly is not ready to leave us for good quite yet.
My friend came in from Boston and we drove up to Virginia to visit Civil War historic sites (we LOVE history). Oh.my.gosh. It was SOOO hot!! 100 with heat index of up to 120 all 4 days!
Anyway... LOVE this year's logo, magnets and FE!! Fantastic!! So creative!!!
Oh, and that Cabana looks incredible - who wouldn't be thrilled to spend a day there? So happy for you! I had no idea cabana's were even available. Very cute and inviting! (with my pale skin, I have to lather on the sunscreen too).

It is SO cold that Tom put the heating on today. It has been rainy and grey and cold for the last few days and the wind made it extra chilly today!
