Okay. Lets say by some divine intervention you became in control of Disneyland. Your budget it limitless, space is irrelevant, and anything goes! So, what would you do?

I'm a nerd, and I would put a Hall of Presidents somewhere on Main Street.

Some kind of pirate-themed coaster on PLATSI would be cool, too!

Dark rides based on more recent, classic Disney films, such as Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King.

Feel free to share your own ideas!

Coaster based on the Monsters Inc door "ride" scene. But NOT get rid of the current ride, b/c little ones love it so much! :goodvibes

I would bring back Country Bear Jamboree, America Sings, the Carousel of Progress and the People Mover.

Revamp Pooh ride to the Tokyo version (which I hear is amazing).
Add another mountain and put in Expedition Everest (no clue where they would put it.
Open a third gate similar to DisneySea or Epcot. I love World Showcase.

Agree with redoing the dark rides for more recent films.

I would bring back Country Bear Jamboree, America Sings, the Carousel of Progress and the People Mover.

definately America Sings and County Bear Jamboree....
i would also bring back the stage shows they use to have back in the 70's and 80's. i think they stoped them around 1985

Oh yeah they had some great concerts in Tomorrowland. I saw some real fun bands there.

Me too, no doubt. I probably would not waste precious space on COP but perhaps. I would add a monorail that connects the two parks so you could park hop that way and I would expand the existing monorail system to include all the on-site hotels.

Definitely I would add atleast two more coasters, one to each park and I would keep the DL future coaster in the Mountain theme. The DCA coaster I would do some variation on a dark ride type coaster like Rockin' RC but i would do something original.

I would add atleast one new killer dark ride to DCA and maybe a couple to DL. I think this is what Disney does best so I would take it to the next level with some state of the art enhancements. I would use the corner where Monsters Inc. is and add to that with a couple more great dark rides and make a Fantasyland area DCA style with more Pixar themeing.

Honestly my biggest thing would be to totally re-create Tomorrowland to the place of magic and wonder it was when I was an impressionable child in the 70s and 80s. I would add several new attractions and revamp existing attractions to make it futuristic again. I feel virtually all the magic of TL has been lost in it's present form. I would talk to George Lucas about collaborating on more attractions and have more than just ST in TL with SW themeing. America Sings back yes and a new Mission to Mars type ride would be cool too.

Fort Wilderness I would rebuild immediately and I would find a way to make another deluxe restaurant, maybe on the island or maybe in the group area by Big Thunder. If it was built into the fort with some backwoods themeing that could be cool and if you had reservations at night you would be taken over by boat to make it extra immersive. They could do it around Fantasmic like how they transport CMs back and forth by Critter Country.

Lastly (for now) I would create more traffic on the ROA; I would have anew generation of Keel Boats and I would think of a new type of attractiion that would utilize the river.

I've got more.:surfweb:

first things first... I'm buy Candy Cane Inn, Desert Palm Inn, Alpine motel, the 7-11 and the ABC market all on the corner of Katella and Harbor. I'd then build 1 big Disney hotel on that corner with its own entrance into DCA. Then I'd take over all the hotels east of Harbor and bring them all up to Disney standards. Turn em into Disney value resorts! I'd then link the New Hotel, Riverwalk, and all the Disney value resorts to Downtown Disney with the monorail. :thumbsup2

Finally... I wouldn't call it Carsland. That just sounds stupid!

More COOL kiddie coasters. My dd LOVES the Beastie at Kings Island which is now called the Fairly Odd Coaster, so more KID COASTERS that adults can ride too :) A new thrill ride rollercoaster based upon Mt. Olympus and the Greek Gods. A Princess style ride where you ride in little minature carriages and go through a tunnel like Small World that shows where all the Princesses live. More on property resort hotels. Add Mission Space to Tomorrowland. My ds:3dglasses loved this ride at Epcot. A Donald Duck water ride called Donald's Water Fights where you ride in cars like Buzz Lightyear and spray targets with water and people with water. MickeyWhirl, kinda like Tilt-a-Whirl where it was shaped like the Mickey ears. A New Star Wars ride in Tomorrowland like x-wing fighters, single seaters. TINKERBELL NEEDS HER OWN RIDE. TINKERBELLS PIXIE FLYERS where you lay down on them and you are fairies flying. FOR FOOD: A REALLY GOOD BRICK OVEN DISNEY PIZZA PLACE with Pizzas shaped like Disney characters. MORE carnival type food like cotton candy, pretzels shaped like Disney characters. PIXAR CHARACTER MEAL. LITTLE SPACE MT. for the younger crew.

Omg, I actually had that idea too ever since I saw the movie. I would have it right by Mike and Sully to the Rescue, starting where Who Wants to be a Millionaire used to be, wrapping around M&S, and going to where the commissary was.

I know that the movie totally flopped, but for anyone who saw Home on the Range, always thought that they could make a cool coaster themed to that movie, (based on the part when they are zooming around inside the mine shaft chasing each other and it is all psychedelic colors and fireworks going off around you).

Kind of like BTMRR (which I absolutely love), but with a little twist. I am not a huge fan of mouse coasters (not really a fan at all... I :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: the entire time on MM in DCA), but something kind of like a mouse coaster I guess....

I agree!!! And I also don't like the sound of Hollywoodland. I would much prefer it to stay Hollywood Pictures Backlot.

I agree with most of the pp.
Some things I would bring back, PeopleMover, Skull Rock (never been, just think it sounds cool:thumbsup2 ), and definately Big Thunder Ranch. I need my BBQ back!!
I have always wanted more dark rides as well, love the idea of Lion King.
Everyones ideas are so great I just cant stop thinking about them!!:lovestruc

I would remove several of the rides in Paradise Pier area, and bring in another coaster, more kiddie rides. I definately love the idea of the monsters inc coaster.

I have to cut this short, my DSS just put me in a very bad mood.

I've always wanted to see a rollercoaster dark ride themed to getting to Yzma's secret lab from "The Emperor's New Groove" You could even incorporate something like the mirror section from HM in it, but have you looking at yourself wearing a lab coat and goggles like they do. I can just imagine hearing during the ride Kronk's voice saying "Yzma! Put your hands in the air!" :lmao:

It's such a good movie, and really nothing about it at the whole place!

I also agree about the name Carsland... Stupid... :rotfl:

I would also love to see more "magic" brought to Tomorrowland...... There have been a lot of futuristic scenes in movies like "Meet the Robinson's" and "Wall-E" that could inspire some AMAZING changes. Imagine robots roaming all over the land, interacting with the guests....Why not get rid of "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" and put in something really interactive and dazzling.....More atmosphere, more futuristic architecture......And yes, the monorail SHOULD run between parks. That would be very helpful.....

How about some stadium seating that magically appears up from the ground around the Rivers of America for Fantasmic viewing? Oh, and a giant bubble that covers the whole park so that the fireworks would never be canceled due to winds......Hey, you said money was no object! ;)

I'd like to see Tomorrowland in a giant bubble, only because when I was little I was convinced we'd all live in giant bubbles some day... :confused3

People Mover, Country Bear jamboree, Carousel of Progress , Hall of presidents for a start .

I so agree that htere need to be some theme resorts cheaper than the big three. POR comes to mind off the bat. I would love another Wilderness Lodge but that would never happen with GC there. perhaps some values and some mods.
