If You Waited Until Today To Make a Reservation for Halloween 2016....

The DW just informed me that we are booked for October 29th to November 13th in a premium site for Halloween 2016. We have never done Halloween so I'm stoked. Reading the October trip reports about all the decorations and the trick or treaters and now we get to see it first hand. Biggest concern is coming in on a Saturday before Halloween. Hearing and seeing the pics of campers lined up all the way out to Vista Blvd. and the overflow lots "overflowing" makes me a little nervous. Still stoked though!!!!

For the record I had unwisely waited until we got back from our trip this past Halloween and was only able to get a full hook up site until Oct 29th. Well something happened and they opened some more sites. I was able to re-book and now we will be going Oct 22 to Nov 1, 2016 in a Premium site. Unless something happens we'll be there for another Halloween. Gotta get good use out of these APs I bought.

I am excited about our first Halloween trip to the Fort. Is it too early to start the 2016 October pre trip reports?

Just got off the phone with them as we had to change our reservation a bit. Was talking about how much we love Halloween at the fort with the decorations and parade and the party. Was told that adults can no longer wear costumes to the halloween party only kids under 13 due to security issues. We do love to dress up but i guess thats the new policy.

What if I wear clothes that make me look like Prince Eric? (Even though I look NOTHING like Prince Eric) Really, I am just dressed in more "Flashy" clothes, right? So is that not allowed? Okay, I understand if I decided to come in a "Stitch" costume, as being very different, but how much of a security issue is it really? If I pass through the check point like everyone else, then I should be just as safe whether I wear a costume or not.

I just think it's sad that things have come to this.

It is sad. I really don't get it either, we love dressing up every year. Last year dd and her girlfriend and I were the Sanderson sisters and we had a blast! I guess they will allow Disney Bounding still. Its our favorite time at the fort so we will still go as we really enjoy the golf cart parade and the great site decorations. We really are big kids when we go there, it just will be different now. Its a long way off til September when they have the first MNSSHP so things might change by then.
