If you rent from national, are you exempt from parking fees at resorts?

Has anyone every tried this? I saw it on another site. It said that if you "rent a national car thru Walt Disney Travel company...and are staying off site, you can get free parking at theme parks".
We will be staying off site, and those parking fees add up, (especially in Canadian funds, lol). During our stay, we want to do dinner at Chef Mickeys (on a day were not at the parks) and Im wondering if we have to pay to park there. Also for the Grand adventurues in cooking, do i pay to park there? How about if we just want to take a Monorail ride one night, do we pay to park for that?

Here's what I posted to the same topic on the Budget Board:

Kind of sounds like a package deal in a way to me. I bet it would be cheaper to rent your car conventionally using available discounts and pay for parking.

Also, are rentals through Walt Disney Travel company available for pickup at the airport? If not, you would also incur the cost of transportation to and from the airport.

I am not aware of a free parking program for National renters. There used to be a special parking area for National renters at the parks, but I haven't seen mention of that recently.

Chef Mickey's is at the Contemporary...there is no fee for parking at any of the resorts. I would suggest calling for priority seating in advance so there will be no question that you need to park there. The guards at the Contemporary can be pretty strict at times.

After dinner you can hop on the monorail at the Contemporary and ride to your heart's content.
