If you have stayed at Kidani in a dedicated 2BR standard -- what was your view of?

I feel like i am unnecessarily stressing over our room type. I am planing an extended family trip for April 2018. I have a little time before i need to book but i am torn as to which house to stay at for a 2BR. I like the ideas of the 3rd bathroom and 2 queen beds in the dedicated 2BR at Kidani, but to conserve points for future trips i am choosing to get a Standard room vs sananna.

I am hoping to get some insight on your experience if you have stayed in a 2 BR dedicated at Kidani-- what was your view of and where were you located? Room number if you remember

Do you think you have better chances of getting a better view (pool or partial, stretch my neck view of the savanna) or worse (parking lot) with choosing a dedicated or a lock off 2BR.

We won't be in the room a ton which is why i don't want to spend the points on a savanna view, but i at least want to wake up and see some greenery vs asphalt

The parking lot is under the building so there aren't many cars to see. I have stayed in a 2 bedroom standard three times in the past 2 years. Each time we have had a view of the bus stop. It is actually a fairly lush view. I love the third full bath. It makes all the difference in the world if you have more than 4 people staying in the villa. Many years ago, we quit using points on Savannah view unless we had our young grand children with us. There are SO many animal viewing opportunities, that it just doesn't feel like a good use of points.

We stayed in a dedicated 2 bedroom for 1 night at the end of September. We booked a standard view, but had a view of the narrow part of the savannah (where you can see the road). I don't know if this has been converted to standard or if they put us there since it was just one night and it isn't the best of Savannah views, but since we paid for standard, we were excited to see the zebras and other animals. The only downside to this is that the walk to the lobby, pool, etc from this view was long.

It's a great resort and I loved how "homey" Kindani was. Best of luck with your planning!

We stayed in a standard view 2 bedroom Thanksgiving week and it overlooked the pool area. Room 7925 on the 5th floor.

We had a very nice view with trees and tall grass. 4th floor, wing towards Jambo, dedicated 2b. We were high enough that we couldn't see the road and outside parking. I thought it was a pretty nice view with good morning sun.

We splurged a little and got the 2BR Savvanah View room during our last trip and we wished we hadn't. The rooms are the same layout regardless of view type. Just that one has a good view of the savannah and the other does not. Even then, you may still have a decent view. However, like you said you intend to do we spent very little time in the room. Most of that time was before the animals were released, and/or after they had been put back up. The 3rd bathroom at the Kidani rooms is a nice bonus, and the pool area is less crowded and has a pretty cool kid area/splash pad. My recommendation would be the 2BR Standard View. You can always go out to the viewing area from the lobby if you want to see the animals better.

Don't stress. We've stayed in a 2br std. view at Kidani, and faced right out at the bus stop. Sounds awful, right? It wasn't! My DH and I enjoyed many evenings sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine, watching all the families coming back from the Parks at night. So many little ones asleep in strollers, families chatting and laughing, etc. It was really so nice. It also encourages you to explore the public areas of the resort. Be sure to go down to the overlook of the savanna. Use the night vision goggles! Talk to the Cast Members! Check out all of the art displays around the resort! You won't be disappointed. :)
