If you "had" to leave out a park

I think it all depends on what's important to your family--rides or ambiance. I can't do roller coasters any more so I actually ride more things at Epcot than any of the other parks. I love the different countries in WS. I love the overall ambiance of DHS with the old Hollywood vibe when you first walk in. ToT is my favorite ride in all of WDW. I love the themeing in AK. I know it's almost sacrilegious to say, but MK is my least favorite park. I only do three rides--HM, PotC, and JC. I do like the retro sci-fi feel of Tomorrowland, but the rest of the themeing, while still excellent, doesn't appeal to me as much as the other parks. I looked at the attractions at US and nothing at all appealed to me. All this to say, everyone has varying opinions about what makes each WDW park or theme parks in general special to them. I think the best thing to do is figure out if rides or themeing is most important to your family and let that make your decision. :)

DHS has the highest % of great attractions with TSMM, ST, ToT, and RnRC all great, then a decent 5th ride. 80% great rides. If course there are only 5 in the park...
AK has less great stuff, EE is great, Kali can be if you want to be drenched, and Dinosaur is neat. If you are into animals dont miss this park.
Epcot is either you love or can do without. It only has a few rides, and for me none are must do except maybe TT. Soarin is neat, but if i miss it oh well. Mission space is cool too, but many find it claustrophobic or the orange version too nauseating. The rest of future world is Meh. WS has really great stuff to tour, but any attractions are quite tame or just shows.
For my family it would likely be Epcot, for just my wife and I it would be AK.

ToT and TSM are two of my favorite rides but I'd still pass on HS if I'm skipping one. AK has more to do from an attraction standpoint and the food is way better. Keep in mind if you take the earlier suggestion to go to AK in the morning and HS in the afternoon you can't use any FP+ at AK if you want to do anything at HS including Fantasmic. While buying park hopper option is encouraged actually using it is not.

Even though TOT is my favorite ride, and I love TSM, if I had to I'd leave out HS over AK any day. But of all four parks, I'd leave out Epcot first.

We would do a half day at AK and the remainder of the day at another park. But if you are going to leave out a park, our vote is for AK.

I love AK! It's my favorite park!

But you're not me. If you were underwhelmed by AK and DHS, why not leave them both out and do two days at universal? There's enough there to keep you busy for two days.

Depends on who is going for my family. One son is really into Star Wars and Jedi Training so we left out AK and Epcot. We were digging Diagon Alley that trip. This last trip my eldest came who is really into animals so we left out DHS and Epcot. When going with my husband only, I would never leave out Epcot. I think my tolerance is becoming 4 theme parks only with MK on top and Universal and IOA following. That last one just depends who is coming.

thank you for so much feedback. I cannot leave out Epcot it was actually one of our favorites on our last/first trip to Disney. We did not have time to explore World Showcase and that is a must this time.
I am not purchasing park hopper options either. I purchased them last time and never used them at all. We were only there 5 full days and that was definitely not enough...

We didn't go to HS last time at all and will likely skip it this time.
I won't skip AK though.....It's my favourite for theming and I have to ride KRR and EE

This is so interesting! Skipping Epcot for us would literally be like skipping Christmas morning or something - it is our favorite park by a mile. We only ride one ride there - Soarin' - but it's just myself and my husband, no kids, and I am an international travel fiend. We spend all day in the World Showcase. It is my favorite part of every Disney trip we take - it brings back my memories of France and Italy every time!

I am skipping AK , I dont do animal amusement parks, i do hope they make some changes in the future so i can go guilt free but as of now thats my recommended skip. I feel i should note disney has mad big good changes since AK first opened so thats good and hopefully they countinue making positive changes

EPCOT is our fave park, with MK coming in a very close second. We've decided that unless something super exciting comes to DHS that we want to see, we are more than likely skipping DHS and DAK on our next trip. We'd rather spend more time in the 2 parks that we actually enjoy. :stitch2:

HS. Too many shows, would rather be outside on rides. And we are animal and food lovers so AK and Epcot are a must.

I'd leave HS out, our trip is going to be. 9 days and were only doing half a day there!

If I were leaving out a park then I would leave out Epcot, we are only going 1 day out of 10 and really only for DH to drink around the world.

One possible solution would be to split two days on four parks. If you were to pick two days that did not have EMH you could do Universal Studios for 1/2 a day and then AK or HS from late afternoon til close....and do the same with Islands of Adventure in the am on another day. We have annual passes to both WDW and Universal and do this each trip. We try to spend two mornings (one at each park) and one evening at Universal and fill in the evenings with FP+ at the WDW parks. Granted, we have been to all the parks numerous times and we do not go on every ride at each park, but if you get to Universal prior to RD, and have a plan, you should be able to see do a great majority of the rides within a few hours. Example, for IOA, we start with Hulk, Spiderman, HP, backtrack to Jurassic Park and the two water rides and out we go (tops three hours) We normally will then take a lunch break at the resort, swim, quick nap and over to a WDW park to hit the three headliners we have FP for and if we still have steam see a show or two or stay for a parade or fireworks. I will say Universal Studios does take us a lot longer than years past with HP and Transformers. Dispicable Me and Shrek 4D can take forever if you don't get on first thing. One big help is that a lot of the Universal rides have single riders and we use this option if we are not there within the first few hours of opening. Send me an airline ticket and I can be your tour guide. Yes we are committed to commando style touring, so buckle your seatbelt and hang on!

I wouldn't leave out any park, so my vote would be to for one day get park hoppers and do AK in the morning, then HS in the afternoon with park hoppers.

I think this is the best solution.

But if I HAD to leave one park out completely, definitely HS. Especially since I don't like Star Wars. I only care about Tower of Terror, Rockin Rollercoaster, and Toy Story. And it wouldn't kill me to miss toy story really. I just don't like the theming there either.

Animal Kingdom is an awesome park in my opinion, and I would never miss it.

Personally I'd skip Universal and just do Disney but if I had to pick one it would be Animal Kingdom because I'm just not that fond of it!!

Hollywood Studios is my least favorite park. I wish I could skip it! But I LOVE LOVE LOVE TSMM and Star Tours. I can't STAND the layout. The narrow streets...it's so overwhelming chaotic to me. While I love AK there is nothing there I can't leave without so I'd have to skip that one.

I just loved it...next to MK I felt the happiest there! I wish I had planned more time there. This trip...I did!
