If you get a better DING?

What should you do? Do you go ahead and book it, or do you call? How do you get credit for the ticket you already have?

You cannot book a DING! fare over the phone. What most of us do, is open two windows to SWA. In one we book the flight up to the point of inputting purchase information. In the other one, cancel your existing flight which will bank your funds. Then go through with the purchase process, using your ticketless travel funds. Fairly painless.

I wasn't sure what to do (before I saw this thread of course, ) I noticed that the price went down on my most expensive ticket so not knowing what to do, I called while the window was opened, the agent cancelled it and was nice enough to stay on the phone with me. I had bought the ticket for someone else and I was scared to death it would totally disappear before I could complete the purchase. Besides my own self inflicted anxiety, it was very painless. Your method seems painless too. It was nice however to have an agent walk me through it. She told me that since I bought it from a Ding I had to call and have her actually cancel it.
