If you could put a new restaurant in DHS...

I was thinking about a 40's style nightclub like in Astaire movies with a cheesy comedian and band entertainment and those little tables they carry out onto the dancefloor to accomodate late arrivals........BUT then I read the Creature Cantina ideas and brother, sign me up!!!

I love the Star Wars idea I hadn't even thought about that when I originally posted I agree that there isn't enough CS in DHS. Honestly everytime I have ever eaten there it has always been a snack or I have left on the boat to WS

I actually don't think HS needs another TS. 50s Primetime and Sci Fi are both fun, even if the food is a little lacking at Sci Fi. I've never been to Hollywood Brown Derby, but I've heard it's decent to good. Add in Mama Melrose, and this park actually has quite a few TS options when compared to Animal Kingdom or even the Magic Kingdom. If anything, maybe they could revamp the putrid Hollywood and Vine and turn it into a Villian's character meal with better food. That would be awesome.

What Hollywood Studios DOES need, and desperately, is better counter service options. EEEK! After a few crappy CS meals there, I've officially given up on any and all counter service options in that park. From now on, I waste a TS credit for lunch at either 50s or Sci Fi while touring this park. If we go in the evening, we eat somewhere else before we enter the gates.

What I really would like to see is for Disney to improve on the food they are now serving at this park.

I find the CS bad to gross. The TS to be mediocre to gross.

in the first indiana jones movie, marion works in a tavern kind of place. they should have something like that near the stunt show.

i also liked the idea someone listed earlier about a star wars themed restaurant. they should make the place that obi wan kenobi takes luke to in episode IV (you know, the place with that song that always gets stuck in your head...)

or they could do a new york style deli in the streets of america area - with giant deli sandwiches like at carnegie deli in manhattan.

i definitely agree that the dining options in DHS really need some revamping

I would vote for a quick service restaurant that had an adjoining table service restaurant with a Star Wars theme. You could have the bar from Tatooine with some of the 'band' in between the two sections. You could have star cruisers as seats and maybe videos of the movie playing in certain spots. It would be SOOOO cool if they added Star wars meet & greets too - or even a character meal with them.

In general though, I'd like to see another quick service restaurant. There are so many movies that have restaurant themes that you could base it on one (or several) movies. Or even a restaurant with different decade sections from the start of picture films (so about the past 100 years). Oh shoot, I could go on and on - lots of ideas for different restaurants!

But as for food, I think they need to have some restaurants that have unique sandwiches and salads - especially for those of us that need a break from the burger and fries!

This is exactly what I've always wanted! The cantina from Tatooine would be amazing. Imagine if they also had audio animatronics of the band. I would cry tears of joy hehe. I've also always thought a Pixar or just Toy Story character dining would be a lot of fun.

I think the Star Wars theme restaurant would be a great idea (and I don't even like Star Wars ). It should be situated at the Backlot Express location close to the Star Wars ride. Also, I would hope that it would neither be a buffet nor a character meal. I would love to see more great restaurants in DHS with excellent seafood. I do like Brown Derby but I don't want to eat there everytime we go to DHS, it would be nice to have the same food quality at a different location.

And I think they should move the food items from Backlot Express to the ABC Commissary so guests can have more choices. I haven't dined at either in a long time (we don't like CS restaurants) but I've heard most people still don't like the Commissary.

Just a thought.
