If you could have any CM job at Disney what would it be???

Being with law enforcement for 15 years Security Guard is the logical choice, however, I would really love being the Ride Guide CM on "The Great American Movie Ride" in HS. Corny, but hey, it's my dream WDW job. LOL

Our oldest daughter already had her dream job at Disney. We were in World of Disney when she was nine, and she was looking to pin trade with a sales representative at the info booth. The person had a request from another sales representative and had to leave, so she asked our daughter to "man the booth" until she could get back and just tell people that she'd be back in a moment. For about 3 minutes, she was queen of the info booth, and she was given a collectible pin for her service.

Maybe IT (That's the field that I'm in and would probably be the area I could most easily be hired in and make some decent money).

I'd love to do market research for Disney too (fascinating area).

Oh and I think I'm too old now, but it would be fun (just for a short stint, though) to work as a princess. I always wanted to be a princess when I was a little girl.

I want to be Maleficient. I say it all the time. I practice in my everyday life with people that get on my nerves~lol. One DD wants to be Snow White and the other the Evil Queen. The way they get along, they would be PERFECT to work together!

I'd love to work doing interior design for Disney. Rolling out new hotel designs and refurbs. Working on interior queue areas. Designing new restaurant interiors. Re-imagining shops. I'd be in heaven.

I've given some thought to this in the past and am not really sure and am open to suggestions. Here is what I am thinking:

- do not want to be in a costume

- do not want it to be repetitive. Kilimanjaro safari driver and monorail driver sound cool for a short time, but I could only do it for so long without being bored

- out of the elements. If the parks were in a location that was not so hot and humid I would love to work outside but I think it would be unbearable in the summer

- I would want to be in a position to directly add to some enjoyment/magic to peoples vacations.

So while I would prefer to work in a park, I am having trouble thinking of a job in a park that would meet these requirements. As a result, I am thinking concierge or head of guest relations at a resort (preferably AKL, Poly, or WL) might be a good fit. I would enjoy guests coming to me with problems and being able to solve those problems in a way that goes above and beyond.

Oh, I already have this planned out! I'm thinking about the DCP sometime within the next few years.

I would want to work at a Disney hotel. I honestly don't care which one or which position. Working at one of the resorts would still mean you are a part of the Disney family; you would get all the employee perks and be able to share your love for Disney with others, BUT it would keep Disney World itself separate from your job. The parks wouldn't be tainted by a bad day at work, you see?

I'd like to do advertising or promotions. I want to work on the team that decides "let's do a sleepover party during Memorial Day Weekend" to promote Monsters U. That, to me, would be an amazing job.

ever since i was a kid and had the horror of working with the public at a McDonalds, i never want to work in any sort of a public/retail job unless it's a last resort.

But honestly I think even doing my regular day job for Disney would be cool. I typically work with facilities sort of folks. So working the back of the house would make me happy enough. Even working in a the maintenance group for WDW would be cool.

Everyone wears a costume except management.
They go over great in Walmart!

In 1998-99 I worked a year on Saturdays in outdoor food and beverage at Disney HOLLYWOOD Studios...worked at pretzel cart on New York Street and the egg roll cart near the exit from Chinese Theater. Was fun and a great way to get the park admission as my real job was only M- Th. Now I would like to go back as a bus driver..lol.

My goal in life is to retire in a couple of years and be the Fairy God Mother at Disney!!! :rotfl: No REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to be a Jungle cruise skipper, a Haunted Mansion "maid", a Tower of Terror bellhop (even though I am petrified of the ride)!!
