If you could have any CM job at Disney what would it be???

I'd love to work the tip board at AK, my favorite park. And that way I get to give people directions, help all day. Except I'd have to take a break so I can drive a float during the afternoon parade.

Magic Kingdom Main Street Confectionary or Mary Poppins- she is practically perfect in every way after all ;)

Any attraction where they ask how many and assign a row would be my gig. "How many? Row 2." I've been practicing can you tell? If i could choose, Star tours.

This made me laugh out loud! I love it!

I've always wanted to be Tinkerbelle. But more realistically, Fairy Godmother. In fact, all my friends know that is what I plan to do when I retire. Move to Florida and be Fairy Godmother. Or if I was thinner, Lady Tremaine - how much fun would that be???

If I could have any job in WDW, I'd be a dancer in the corps at Beauty and the Beast. Now I'm too old... maybe the Beggar Woman at the beginning? LOL!

Seriously, though... if I can't be in B&B, I'd like to work behind the scenes at the stage shows, maybe as stage director or as a lighting technician. Any kind of stage crew member, really. Third choice would be in costuming, designing and making the beautiful costumes for the shows. I worked for 10 years with a community ballet company in both stage crew and costume mistress, and I loved it. I always joke that if I'd know 40 years ago how much I love working on a stage crew, I'd have majored in theatrical production in college. Oh well... I guess I'd really like to work as a Disney wedding planner, also!

My goal in life is to retire in a couple of years and be the Fairy God Mother at Disney!!! :rotfl: No REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG, Tinkerella, I just made it to the end of the thread and saw that you want to be Fairy Godmother too... that's awesome! Let's job share... you do Monday through Thursday, and I will take Fridays through Sundays.

I also wouldn't mind being one of the gals who does the kids up at Pirates League or Bippity Boppity Boutique. That is a hoot.

Oh, I already have this planned out! I'm thinking about the DCP sometime within the next few years.

I would want to work at a Disney hotel. I honestly don't care which one or which position. Working at one of the resorts would still mean you are a part of the Disney family; you would get all the employee perks and be able to share your love for Disney with others, BUT it would keep Disney World itself separate from your job. The parks wouldn't be tainted by a bad day at work, you see?

Exactly what I'm thinking!! I'm hoping to do the DCP in a couple years and it would be a dream to work at one of the resorts, especially the deluxes:cloud9:

Seeing as its dream job

I would like to be offical ride checker

Basically i can go on any ride at any time and make sure its working and i get to skip queues and the such

apart from that i would quite like to work on Misson Space as its my fav ride

DH and I talk about this all the time (since our friend works in Guest Relations at Animal
Kingdom and started as a safari driver :) ).

DH would like to work in Disney Transit. Probably a bus driver. I would want to work front desk at one of the resorts (maybe the Contemporary or the Beach/Yacht Club).

:)

If we ever end up moving back to Seattle because my business has to close (which hopefully never happens), I will apply to work at Disney. I develop software for a living on iOS, and I would LOVE to improve the MDE app. Almost all Disney mobile and web development is done in Seattle.

I didn't know that! Guess I need to look for some Disney jobs at home! :)

If I were picking a job at Disneyland/Cal Adventure, then I would probably want to work somewhere in Cars Land :)

Tell your friend that they need to retire so I can take their job!;) Honestly, I'd love it!

I worked at Star Tours and Fantasmic for 7 months and loved it dearly. But I am a film writer/editor, and I would love to help write and edit film on attractions, pre-shows, vacation planning videos, promotional material, etc. (but mostly attractions)

Me too! I'm in writing school and my dream is to be a show writer for Disney. Any idea how one gets such a great job?

We play this game every time we go to Disney! My Disney dream job would be a dancer in one of the parades. My non-Disney dream job would be back-up singer/dancer for Tina Turner. :cheer2:

Us too! We have the whole Family involved! :thumbsup2
I would LOVE to be a Fairy Godmother at the Bippity Boppity Boutique! (I was a hairdresser before kids) Hubby is an a Quality Engineer in real life so an Imagineer of course. DS14 loves animals & wants to work at Animal Kingdom with them. DS11 is amazing with technology so an Imagineer as well. My Mom says if we ever move away she's coming so she'd be a Photopass Photographer since she's always has a camera in her hand! And my step-father is a retired trucker (18 wheelers) so he says he'd love to be a Morail Driver.
Yep, we've put some serious thought into this :)

I wouldn't want to work for Disney... BUT... I would love to live at Disney. I often dream up being able to buy a 3 bedroom villa at BLT and make it my permanent home. I know they would never allow it, but I'm pretty sure I would buy if they ever did :D

But you can purchase a house at the Golden Oaks Development, which come with a VIP Unlimited WDW Pass for each Resident, plus some spares for Guests.

That's so true and I have definitely thought of doing that when I retire in 30 some years... LOL... But there is something about actually living at Bay Lake Tower. I can walk over to The Wave anytime I want for breakfast, see the fireworks whenever I want or take a morning jog to the Magic Kingdom for some daily cardio. Only if I won the lottery though... **sigh**. I'd hate to fight through Disney guest traffic to get to and from work everyday... LOL... Unless I could get a job at one of the gift shops in The Contemporary, then I could just walk ;)

I think there is some serious money to be made by Disney if they actually built villas/condos on the monorail line for people to purchase as a permanent resident. Not just DVC.

I've merged another thread into the pre-existing thread on the Theme Parks Community board. :)

I would love to work at the HM or to be maleficent. DD(7) wants to be Pocahontas when she grows up.
