If you could ask for one Perk from DVC

I'd like to see additional perks or maybe a special club for those that have purchased a certain amount of points (like, maybe more than 1,200 or so).

Bad boy, Mike. Trying to :stir: ??;)

Next time you are at one of the resorts, take a look at the housekeeping carts for blankets or bedspreads. Keep in mind the beds are queens or kings, so they will be big.

Good point! I have stayed at CR many times since it opened & don't remember seeing any blankets or bedspreads on the carts.:confused3 If mousekeeping doesn't change those items in between guests, that is really disgusting! Good luck during flu season.

So along with wishing for parks tickets like in the "old days", I wish for all bedding to be changed in between guests.

O.K.......I think I'd be happy with any one of these (but all would be nice;))
-discount on park passes. We do not go every year so discount on AP really doesn't help us out.:woohoo:
-DVC fast pass:thumbsup2
-that you don't have to buy the DDP for your whole trip, maybe only a couple of days:confused3

Hey...a girl can dream:cloud9:can't see?!

Believe me, up until last year when I saw the discussion here on DIS, gullible me thought that all hotel/resorts changed the sheets/blankets/bedspreads between guests. I was horrified to find out that it wasn't true. Since then, I have been bringing my sheets on our vacations. Believe me, it takes up a lot of room in the luggage. But, I can't bring myself to sleep on something that someone had already slept in.:crazy2: I just find that disgusting.

On my post #31, I, also, mentioned that I would love the perk that guarantees that bedding would be changed between guests. :thumbsup2

But, until then, I'll be bringing my own bed linen.

My last trip I noticed a small deliver truck full on bed spreads. The truck reminded me of the truck that delivers pizza! But none the less I saw a truck full of bedspreads.

another thing that would be nice is the option to purchase a 18 month pass. Since we only go 1 a year at the same time, the annual pass doesn't help us.

They are getting closer on this one. The renewals for annual passes is now for 15 months.:cool1: (of course this is always subject to change).

Well I am also gullible. I really thought housekeeping changed all bedding in between guests. It seems so disgusting not to.
I see that you take your own sheets. I might start doing this too, not that we should have to. Has anyone complained to the front desk, mousekeeping or member services about this?

I'd like an AP that would work for CA, FLA, Paris, etc....

and then Fastpasses would be super.

Also, a discount for day 10 day no-epiration park hoppers....

As someone who first purchased DVC in 1992 when OKW was the one and only DVC, I miss the perk that we got when we first bought - which was free park admission until the year 2000. I know it is unrealistic, a lot to ask, and will never happen. But, it was soooooo nice in those first seven years, not having to pay for any admission. I miss those days!!!

Yeah - I wish it were true what housekeeping told you, but I am also suspicious then about the lack of bedspreads being carted around the hallways. I think it's more realistic that DVC does what Pop Century does - changes them out every few weeks. Also, based on the condition of some of the blankets/bedspreads I've seen in rooms I've been in, there is no way they were cleaned before I got there  Anyway, thanks for checking. The next time we stay I will try to speak to a housekeeping manager and see if maybe someday they will add duvets that can be changed after every guest. Carnival cruise lines had that on a ship I was on - it sure made me sleep easier!

Lower the required number of points to do Adventures By Disney.

Bring back the Adventurers Club for DVC Members. :) (Please don't tear it down and take all that neat stuff to Hong Kong)

DCL, Adventures by Disney, and other Disney Properties should be more fairly priced from a DVC points perspective.

How about DVC paying for each member to have one complimentary Owner's Locker? We don't mind paying for this great service but that would be a nice perk - and helpful for most members, I would imagine.

I would LOVE to have lower prices on all MYW tickets, and regular AP's!
A close second would be a WDW & DL annual pass option. I seriously think that with the opening of GCV, that should be a no-brainer, but, whatever :lmao:

I thought about this one day too. If I were in DVC management I would look into the actual logistics of this option. Think about it Disney already has a pretty sophisticated system that would enable them to implement something like this on their own. Disney has the access to all of its own hotels, a large pool of repeat guests and their information, most likely they have the storage area, the transportation would be all onsite, etc. Of course there would be overhead but a lot of the system needed is in place. I am surprised that they have not looked at this yet as another source of revenue/guest convenience.

I know one criticism may be that Disney would not do this because it would cut into the profits of the products they sell to guests. However I feel that many people who use the Owner's locker do not buy the majority of whatever they store from WDW itself, they either bring it and leave it or use a service to bring them these home consumables. Or the things stored in the owners lockers are things that could not be bought at Disney such as special clothing, toys, appliances, etc.

Sorry, back to the topic, this would be a great DVC perk, I am just surprised that this system has not been implemented by Disney yet.
