If you called to check if you had code....

No pin email STOP

Called and talked to "Geraldine" STOP

Code? Yes! STOP

September? No :( -- Jan/Feb only. STOP

I received a code as well, but it is for dates I do not plan on being at Disney. I called back, just for the heck of it, and the CM was really pressuring me into their dining plan. We are a family of 4, and we went to Disney World last year and only ended up spending less than 100 dollars per day. We are from a much cooler climate and I really believe it affected our appetites, not to mention the kids were way too excited to sit down and eat, I explained that to the CM and tried to explain I was hoping for a PIN to help off-set the HORRIBLE airfare prices. I am looking at 1600-1800 for my family of 4 to travel. He proceeded to tell me that Disney is not going to allow families to use the PIN and add dining, so it would be one or the other. Has anyone heard this? I was just so disappointed with the HIGH PRESSURE SALESMAN, I just had to end the call and not inquire further about this. Any information you all have, is greatly appreciated! If we can't help off-set our airfare with a huge room discount, we're stuck going to Disneyland!

After doing some looking, I see I have never recieved a PIN in the mail or email. I have gotten the general public ones, that are a 3 letter code, but never anything for just me> That really sucks. What kind of email does it come in?

Here are the dates:

Now–February 7, 2007
February 25–March 7, 2007
May 28–June 3, 2007
August 21–October 6, 2007
October 21–November 3, 2007
November 11–November 16, 2007
December 9–December 22, 2007

As you see April and most of March and May are not included.

Can you tell me what the discount was for these dates? Is it 40% off of value?
Disney said that I have a pin in their system, but they weren't sure what the dates were. They had trouble getting info and promised to call me back.

:cool1: Perhaps the third time is a charm. I just called and after being told no twice, I hit the CM jackpot and was able to book 6 nights at the CR in December with dining and the 40% off. I put my deposit down and the ressie shows up online.

One question though, online I don't see the dining listed, can someone who has a dining reservation confirm whether it shows up for them?

I'm a worry wart, so I called back to double check. Everything's fine with the reservation dining et al. :thumbsup2

I got it. Because of the back and forth everyone is experiencing I went ahead and had them put it on a hold for me so that I didnt have to call back and say I was quoted this to have someone else say no. And since that code is already on my reservation...if I decide to change things (lesser or higher resort) as long as availibility is still there, I can still get it. Woo Hoooooo now can I convince hubbs...........

Well, I finally called on a whim today, and lo and behold, I had a pin, but it was only good through February, so it doesn't help me for my December trip.

When you call back, do you just wait until the next day, or do you call more than once in a day and hope you don't get the same cm?

Thanks!

Today I called again, and still no code. 50+ trips to Disney and no one in my family has ever received a code.

I decided to call back, and give my friends name and see if she has a code. Last time her family went to disney was in 1994. Bingo! She had a code! Her family (household) has only ever been twice and they have a code! They are not registered on any disney websites, disney has no record of their email addresses either. So how were they supposed to know about the code?

Do you have to check out by December 22? Or in?

That is what I am hoping for also, I was told the same thing. So if free dining is offered I will switch.

I hate to say it, but I'm rooting against you and the free dining. I'd rather have the deep room discount and more flexibility around my dining options and hopefully less crowded restaurants.

Finally booked today. I did not even have to mention a code. The wonderful CM already knew and checked my rates and we agreed my FL resident rate code at POR was the best rate. We are staying 4 nights in March total with tax: $580.48. Not as good as the $89 a night I was hearing of, but I'll take it.:) I used the general public FL Resident code.
